Onyankopɔn nyansa ne ne hwɛ
1Awurade, woahwehwɛ me mu na woahu me. 2 Wunim biribiara a meyɛ; wuhu me nsusuwii nyinaa fi akyirikyiri. 3 Sɛ mereyɛ adwuma a, wuhu; sɛ merehome nso a, saa ara. Wunim m’ahokeka nyinaa. 4 Ansa na mebue m’ano akasa no, na wunim asɛm a mɛka. 5 Woatwa me ho ahyia. Wonam wo tumi so bɔ me ho ban.
6 Me ho adwene a wowɔ no du akyiri. Ɛboro m’adwene so. 7 Ɛhe na metumi aguan wo mafa? Ɛhe na metumi aguan afi w’anim mafa? 8 Sɛ meforo soro a, wowɔ hɔ. Na mekɔsɛw me kɛtɛ asaman a, wo ni! 9 Sɛ mefa adekyee ntaban mitu mekɔtena po akyi nohɔ a, 10 ɛhɔ nso na wo nsa bɛkɔ akogya me na wo nifa beso me mu. 11 Na sɛ mise, esum nko mmɛkata me so na me ho hann nnan sum a, 12 esum nso nnuru sum mma wo, na anadwo hran sɛ awia; esum ne hann yɛ wo pɛ.
13 M’akwaa nyinaa wo na wobɔe; wokekaa me sisii anim wɔ me na yam. 14 Mekamfo wo efisɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ wosuro wo; nea woyɛ nyinaa yɛ hu na ɛyɛ nwonwa. Minim ne nyinaa wɔ me koma mu. 15 Bere a wɔreyɛ me nnompe no wɔkeka sisii anim brɛoo wɔ me na yafunu mu. Bere a merenyin dinn wɔ hɔ no, na wunim sɛ mewɔ hɔ; 16 wuhuu me ansa na wɔrewo me. Nna dodow a woatwa ama me no, ansa na ɛrebefiti ase no, na woakyerɛw wɔ wo nhoma mu dedaw.
17 O Onyankopɔn, ɛyɛ den sɛ mehu wo nsusuwii; sɛ ne dodow yɛ ahe! 18 Sɛ mise mɛkan a, ne dodow bɛboro mpoano anhwea. Mesɔre a, meda so ne wo wɔ hɔ.
19 O Onyankopɔn, me pɛ ne sɛ anka wubekum amumɔyɛfo! Me pɛ ne sɛ basabasayɛfo begyaa me haw! 20 Wɔka amumɔyɛsɛm fa wo ho; wɔka bɔne fa wo din ho. 21 O Awurade, mikyi wɔn a wokyi wo na mimmu wɔn a wɔsɔre tia wo no nso. 22 Mikyi wɔn kɔkɔɔkɔ; mefa wɔn sɛ m’atamfo.
23 Hwehwɛ me mu, O Onyankopɔn, na hu m’adwene; sɔ me hwɛ na hu m’adwene. 24 Na hwɛ sɛ amane kwan bi wɔ me hɔ, na gya me kɔ daa kwan so!
God’s Omnipresence and Omniscience.
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
1O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do];
You understand my thought from afar.
You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
Even before there is a word on my tongue [still unspoken],
Behold, O Lord, You know it all.
You have enclosed me behind and before,
And [You have] placed Your hand upon me.
Such [infinite] knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high [above me], I cannot reach it.
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead), behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will take hold of me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will cover me,
And the night will be the only light around me,”
Even the darkness is not dark to You and conceals nothing from You,
But the night shines as bright as the day;
Darkness and light are alike to You.
For You formed my innermost parts;
You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was being formed in secret,
And intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were appointed for me,
When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I could count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.

Go away from me, therefore, men of bloodshed.
For they speak against You wickedly,
Your enemies take Your name in vain.
Do I not hate those who hate You, O Lord?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
I hate them with perfect and utmost hatred;
They have become my enemies.
Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart;
Test me and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way.

- Psalm 139:19 In the first eighteen verses of this psalm, the psalmist acknowledges that God knows everything that the psalmist ever does, no matter when or where he does it. Although God’s vast knowledge of an individual’s deeds can be reassuring for the righteous, it should be frightening for the wicked. In verses 19-24, the psalmist distances himself from the wicked and asks God to help him live in such a way that pleases God.
