کچانی سەلۆفحاد
1کچانی سەلۆفحادی کوڕی حێفەر کوڕی گلعاد کوڕی ماکیر کوڕی مەنەشە لە خێڵەکانی مەنەشەی کوڕی یوسف هاتنە پێش. ئەمەش ناوی کچەکانییەتی: مەحلە و نۆعا و حۆگلە و میلکە و تیرزە، 2لەبەردەم موسا و ئەلعازاری کاهین و سەرۆکەکان و هەموو کۆمەڵ لەلای دەروازەی چادری چاوپێکەوتن وەستان و گوتیان: 3«باوکمان لە بیابان مرد و لەو کۆمەڵەدا نەبوو کە لەگەڵ قۆرەح لە دژی یەزدان کۆبوونەوە، بەڵکو بە گوناهی خۆی مرد و هیچ کوڕی نەبوو. 4بۆچی ناوی باوکمان لەنێو خێڵەکەی بسڕێتەوە لەبەر ئەوەی کوڕی نییە؟ لەنێو برایانی باوکمان موڵکمان بدەرێ.»
5موساش داواکارییەکەی ئەوانی بردە بەردەم یەزدان. 6جا یەزدان بە موسای فەرموو: 7«کچانی سەلۆفحاد ڕاست دەڵێن. تۆش لەنێو برایانی باوکیان موڵکی میراتیان دەدەیتێ و میراتی باوکیان دەدرێتە ئەوان.
8«بە نەوەی ئیسرائیلیش دەڵێیت: ”هەر پیاوێک مرد و کوڕی نەبوو میراتەکەی بۆ کچی دەبێت، 9ئەگەر کچیشی نەبوو، میراتەکەی دەدەنە براکانی، 10ئەگەر براشی نەبوو ئەوا میراتەکەی دەدەنە برایانی باوکی، 11ئەگەر باوکیشی برای نەبوو ئەوا میراتەکەی دەدەنە نزیکترین کەسی لە خێڵەکەی و ئەو دەبێتە میراتگری. ئەمە بۆ نەوەی ئیسرائیل بووە فەرزێکی یاسایی، هەروەک یەزدان فەرمانی بە موسا کرد.“»
موسا دەست لەسەر یەشوع دادەنێت
12ئینجا یەزدان بە موسای فەرموو: «بڕۆ سەر ئەم چیایە لە زنجیرە چیای عەڤاریم و تەماشای ئەو خاکە بکە کە بە نەوەی ئیسرائیلم داوە. 13کاتێک تەماشات کرد تۆش دەچیتە ڕیزی گەلەکەت، وەک هارونی برات چووە ڕیزەوە، 14چونکە لە چۆڵەوانی چن کاتێک کۆمەڵەکە یاخی بوون، ئێوە هەردووکتان قسەتان شکاندم و منتان لەلای ئەوان پیرۆز نیشان نەدا.» (ئەو شوێنە ئاوی مەریبای قادێشە لە چۆڵەوانی چن بوو.)
15موسا بە یەزدانی گوت: 16«ئەی یەزدان، ئەی ئەو خودایەی ژیان بە ئادەمیزاد دەبەخشیت، پیاوێک لەسەر کۆمەڵەکە دابنێ 17بەڕێوەیان ببات و لە شەڕدا ڕابەرایەتییان بکات، هەتا کۆمەڵی یەزدان وەک مەڕی بێ شوانیان لێ نەیێت.»
18یەزدانیش بە موسای فەرموو: «یەشوعی کوڕی نون ببە، پیاوێکە ڕۆحی تێدایە و دەستی لەسەر دابنێ. 19لەبەردەم ئەلعازاری کاهین و هەموو کۆمەڵەکە ڕای بگرە و لەبەرچاویان ئەرکی پێ بسپێرە. 20هەندێک لە دەسەڵاتی خۆتی بدەرێ هەتا هەموو کۆمەڵی ئیسرائیل گوێڕایەڵی بن. 21ئەو لەبەردەم ئەلعازاری کاهین ڕادەوەستێت، لەبەردەم یەزدان بەپێی حوکمی ئوریم27:21 دوو بەردی گرانبەها بوون، لە کاتی بڕیاردان بۆ زانینی خواستی خودا بەکارهێنراون، بڕوانە دەرچوون 28:30 و یەکەم ساموئێل 23:9-12. بۆی دەپرسێت. بە قسەی ئەو دەردەچن و بە قسەی ئەو دێنە ژوورەوە، ئەو و هەموو کۆمەڵی ئیسرائیل لەگەڵی.»
22موسا هەروەک یەزدان فەرمانی پێ کرد، ئاوای کرد. یەشوعی برد و لەبەردەم ئەلعازاری کاهین و لەبەردەم هەموو کۆمەڵەکە ڕایگرت، 23دەستی لەسەر دانا و ئەرکی پێ سپارد، هەروەک یەزدان لە ڕێگەی موساوە فەرمانی دا.
Zelophehad’s Daughters
1The daughters of Zelophehad belonged to the family groups of Manasseh. Zelophehad was the son of Hepher. Hepher was the son of Gilead. Gilead was the son of Makir. Makir was the son of Manasseh. And Manasseh was the son of Joseph. The names of Zelophehad’s daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah and Tirzah. They approached 2the entrance to the tent of meeting. There they stood in front of Moses and Eleazar the priest. The leaders and the whole community were there too. Zelophehad’s daughters said, 3“Our father died in the Sinai Desert. But he wasn’t one of the men who followed Korah. He wasn’t one of those who joined together against the Lord. Our father died because of his own sin. He didn’t leave any sons. 4Why should our father’s name disappear from his family just because he didn’t have a son? Give us property among our father’s relatives.”
5So Moses brought their case to the Lord. 6The Lord said to him, 7“What Zelophehad’s daughters are saying is right. You must certainly give them property. Give them a share among their father’s relatives. Give their father’s property to them.
8“Say to the Israelites, ‘Suppose a man dies who doesn’t have a son. Then give his property to his daughter. 9Suppose the man doesn’t have a daughter. Then give his property to his brothers. 10Suppose the man doesn’t have any brothers. Then give his property to his father’s brothers. 11Suppose his father doesn’t have any brothers. Then give his property to the nearest male relative in his family group. It will belong to him. That is what the law will require of the Israelites. It is just as the Lord commanded me.’ ”
Joshua Becomes Israel’s New Leader
12Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go up this mountain in the Abarim Range. See the land I have given the Israelites. 13After you have seen it, you too will join the members of your family who have already died. You will die, just as your brother Aaron did. 14The community refused to obey me at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin. At that time, you and Aaron did not obey my command. You did not honor me in front of them as the holy God.”
15Moses spoke to the Lord. He said, 16“Lord, you are the God who gives life and breath to all living things. Please put someone in charge of this community. 17Have that person lead them and take care of them. Then your people won’t be like sheep without a shepherd.”
18So the Lord said to Moses, “Joshua, the son of Nun, has the ability to be a wise leader. Get him and place your hand on him. 19Have him stand in front of Eleazar the priest and the whole community. Put him in charge while everyone is watching. 20Give him some of your authority. Then the whole community of Israel will obey him. 21Joshua will stand in front of Eleazar the priest. Eleazar will help him make decisions. Eleazar will get help from me by using the Urim. Joshua and the whole community of Israel must not make any move at all unless I command them to.”
22Moses did just as the Lord commanded him. He got Joshua and had him stand in front of Eleazar the priest and the whole community. 23Then Moses placed his hands on Joshua. And he put him in charge of the people. He did just as the Lord had directed through Moses.
