두로에 대한 애가
1여호와께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
2“사람의 아들아, 너는 두로를 위 해 애가를 불러라.
3바다 어귀에 위치하여 해안 지역의 여러 백성과 통상을 하는 두로에게 나 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다고 일러 주어라.
‘두로야, 네가
“나는 나무랄 데 없이 아름답다”
하고 말하는구나.
4네 영토가 바다 가운데 있으니
너의 건축자가
네 아름다움을 완벽하게 하였다.
5그들이 27:5 히 ‘스닐’헤르몬산의 전나무를
목재로 사용하고
레바논의 백향목을 가져다가
너를 위해 돛대를 만들었다.
6그들은 바산의 상수리나무로
네 노를 만들고
키프러스 해안의 회양목으로
네 갑판을 만들어
거기에 상아를 박아 넣었다.
7너의 돛은 수놓은 이집트의
고운 모시로 만들어져
마치 네 깃발과도 같으며
너의 차양은 엘리사섬의
청색 자색 베로 만들어졌다.
8시돈과 아르왓 사람들이
네 사공이 되었고
항해에 익숙한 사람들이
네 선원이 되었다.
9그발의 노숙한 숙련공들이
배의 틈을 막는
조선공이 되었으며
바다의 모든 배와 선원들이
너에게 와서 무역하였다.
10‘27:10 원문에는 ‘바사와 룻과 붓이’페르시아와 리디아와
리비아 사람들이 네 군대가 되어
네 막사에
그들의 방패와 투구를 걸었으니
그들이 너의 영광을 나타내었다.
11아르왓 사람들은
너의 성벽을 지키고
가맛 사람들은
네 망대를 지켰으니
그들이 네 사면 성벽에
방패를 달아
네 아름다움을 완벽하게 하였다.’
12“너의 각종 상품이 풍부하므로 다시스 사람들도 은과 철과 주석과 납을 가지고 와서 너와 무역하였다.
1327:13 히 ‘야완’그리스와 두발과 메섹은 27:13 또는 ‘사람과’노예와 놋그릇을 가지고 와서 네 상품을 샀으며
14벧 – 도갈마 사람들은 네 상품을 사려고 말과 노새를 가져왔고
1527:15 히 ‘드단’로데스 사람들도 너와 무역하였으며 해안 지역의 많은 나라들이 상아와 당목을 가지고 와서 네 상품을 샀다.
16네 제품이 풍부하므로 시리아가 너와 무역하였으니 그들은 비취옥과 자색 베와 수예품과 고운 모시와 산호와 홍옥을 가지고 와서 네 상품을 샀다.
17유다와 이스라엘 사람들도 너의 고객이 되어 민닛 지방의 밀과 과자와 꿀과 기름과 향유를 가지고 와서 네 상품을 샀다.
18네가 만든 제품이 많고 다양하므로 다마스커스가 너와 무역하였으니 그들은 헬본 지방의 포도주와 사할 지방의 양털을 가지고 와서 네 상품을 샀으며
19워단과 그리스 사람들은 철과 계피와 창포를 가지고 와서 네 상품을 샀다.
20드단은 안장 담요로 너와 무역하였으며
21아라비아와 게달의 모든 대신들도 너의 고객이 되어 어린 양과 숫양과 염소들을 가지고 와서 너와 무역하였다.
22스바와 라아마의 상인들은 온갖 고급 향료와 보석과 금을 가지고 와서 너와 무역하였으며
23하란과 간네와 에덴과 스바의 상인들과 앗수르와 길맛도 너와 무역하였으니
24그들은 아름다운 옷과 푸른 베와 수예품과 다채로운 색깔의 융단과 단단하게 꼰 노끈을 가지고 와서 네 상품을 샀다.
25“다시스의 배가 네 상품을 실어 나르니 네가 바다 가운데서 많은 화물을 실은 배와 같구나.
26네 사공이 너를 바다로 인도하지만 바다 한가운데서 동풍이 불어 너를 산산이 부숴 버릴 것이다.
27네 재물과 상품과 선원과 선장과 배의 틈을 막는 조선공과 너의 상인들과 모든 군인들과 그 밖에 네 배에 탄 모든 사람들이 네가 파선하는 날에 바다에 다 침몰할 것이다.
28네 선원들이 부르짖는 소리에 27:28 또는 ‘물결이’해안의 땅들이 흔들릴 것이다.
29노를 젓는 사공들과 바다의 모든 선원들이 다 그들의 배를 버려 두고 해안에 서서
30너를 위해 소리 높여 통곡하며 티끌을 머리에 뒤집어쓰고 잿더미에 뒹굴며
31너로 인해 다 머리를 밀고 굵은 삼베 옷을 입고 마음 아파하며 슬피 통곡할 것이다.
32그들이 통곡하며 슬퍼할 때에 너에 대하여 이런 애가를 부를 것이다.
‘두로처럼 바다에 둘러싸여
적막한 자 누구인가?
33네 상품이 바다로 나갈 때에
네가 많은 나라의
요구를 만족시키고
너의 많은 재물과 상품으로
네가 세상의 왕들을
부요하게 하더니
34이제는 네가 바다 깊은 데서
파선하여
네 상품과 너의 모든 승객이
너와 함께 다 침몰하고 말았구나.
35해안 지역에 사는 모든 사람들이
네가 당한 일을 보고 놀라며
그들의 왕들도 공포에 질려
그 얼굴이 두려움으로 일그러졌다.
36세상의 상인들이 너를 야유하니
네 종말이 비참하게 되었구나.
네가 다시는 존재하지 못하리라.’ ”
A Song of Sadness About Tyre
1A message from the Lord came to me. The Lord said, 2“Son of man, sing a song of sadness about Tyre. 3It is located at the gateway to the Mediterranean Sea. It does business with nations on many coasts. Say to it, ‘The Lord and King says,
“ ‘ “Tyre, you say,
‘I am perfect and beautiful.’
4You were like a ship that ruled over the high seas.
Your builders made you perfect and beautiful.
5They cut all your lumber
from juniper trees on Mount Hermon.
They used a cedar tree from Lebanon
to make a mast for you.
6They made your oars
out of oak trees from Bashan.
They made your deck out of cypress wood
from the coasts of Cyprus.
They decorated it with ivory.
7Your sail was made out of beautiful Egyptian linen.
It served as your banner.
Your shades were made out of blue and purple cloth.
They were from the coasts of Elishah.
8Men from Sidon and Arvad manned your oars.
Tyre, your sailors were skillful.
9Very skilled workers from Byblos were on board.
They kept you waterproof.
All the ships on the sea and their sailors
came up beside you.
They brought their goods to trade for yours.
10“ ‘ “Men from Persia, Lydia and Put
served as soldiers in your army, city of Tyre.
They hung their shields and helmets on your walls.
That brought glory to you.
11Men from Arvad and Helek
guarded your walls on every side.
Men from Gammad
were in your towers.
They hung their shields around your walls.
They made you perfect and beautiful.
12“ ‘ “Tarshish did business with you because you had so much wealth. They traded silver, iron, tin and lead for your goods.
13“ ‘ “Greece, Tubal and Meshek did business with you. They traded human beings and bronze objects for your products.
14“ ‘ “Men from Beth Togarmah traded chariot horses, war horses and mules for your goods.
15“ ‘ “Men from Rhodes did business with you. Many lands along the coast bought goods from you. They paid you with ivory tusks and ebony wood.
16“ ‘ “Aram did business with you because you had so many products for sale. They traded turquoise, purple cloth and needlework for your goods. They also traded fine linen, coral and rubies for them.
17“ ‘ “Judah and Israel did business with you. They traded wheat from Minnith, sweets, honey, olive oil and lotion for your products.
18“ ‘ “Damascus did business with you. That’s because you had so many products and so much wealth. They traded to you wine from Helbon and wool from Zahar. 19They also traded to you casks of wine from Izal. You traded to them wrought iron, cassia and calamus.
20“ ‘ “Dedan traded saddle blankets to you.
21“ ‘ “Arabia and all the princes of Kedar bought goods from you. They traded you lambs, rams and goats for them.
22“ ‘ “Traders from Sheba and Raamah did business with you. They traded the finest spices, jewels and gold for your goods.
23“ ‘ “Harran, Kanneh and Eden did business with you. So did traders from Sheba, Ashur and Kilmad. 24In your market they traded beautiful clothes, blue cloth, and needlework to you. They also traded colorful rugs that had twisted cords and tight knots.
25“ ‘ “The ships of Tarshish
carry your products.
You are like a ship filled with a heavy load
as you sail the sea.
26The sailors who man your oars take you
out to the high seas.
But the east wind will break you in pieces
far out at sea.
27You will be wrecked on that day.
Your wealth, goods and products
will sink deep into the sea.
So will your sailors, officers, carpenters,
traders and all your soldiers.
Anyone else on board will sink too.
28The lands along the coast will shake
when your sailors cry out.
29All those who man the oars
will desert their ships.
The sailors and all the officers
will stand on the shore.
30They will raise their voices.
They will cry bitterly over you.
They will sprinkle dust on their heads.
They will roll in ashes.
31They will shave their heads because of you.
And they will put on the clothes of sadness.
They will weep over you.
Their spirits will be greatly troubled.
They will be very sad.
32As they weep and mourn over you,
they will sing a song of sadness about you.
They will say, ‘Who was ever like Tyre?
It was destroyed in the sea.’
33Your goods went out on the seas.
You supplied many nations with what they needed.
You had so much wealth and so many products.
You made the kings of the earth rich.
34Now the sea has torn you apart.
You have sunk deep down into it.
Your products and all your people
have gone down with you.
35All those who live in the lands along the coast
are shocked because of what has happened to you.
Their kings tremble with fear.
Their faces are twisted in horror.
36The traders among the nations laugh at you.
You have come to a horrible end.
And you will be gone forever.” ’ ”
