보호를 위한 기도
(다윗의 시. 성가대 지휘자를 따라 부른 노래)
1하나님이시여, 내가
호소하는 소리를 들으시고
원수의 위협에서
나의 생명을 보호하소서.
2악인들의 음모와
악한 군중으로부터
나를 지켜 주소서.
3그들이 자기들의 혀를
칼처럼 날카롭게 하고
독한 말을
화살처럼 겨냥하여
4숨어서 갑자기
죄 없는 자를 쏘고서도
두려워하지 않습니다.
5그들이 악한 일에
서로 격려하고
함께 모여서
덫 놓을 곳을 의논하며,
“누가 그것을 볼 수 있겠는가?”
하는구나.
6그들은 악한 계획을 세우고서
“우리가 묘안을
생각해 내었다” 하니
참으로 헤아리기 어려운 것은
사람의 마음이다.
7그러나 하나님이 그들에게
활을 쏠 것이니
그들이 순식간에
부상을 입으리라.
8그들은 자기들이 한 말로
멸망할 것이니
그들을 보는 자가
다 머리를 흔들 것이다.
9그때 모든 사람이 두려워하며
하나님의 일을 선포하고
하나님이 행하신 일을
깊이 생각하리라.
10의로운 자들은 다
여호와께서
행하신 일로 기뻐하고
그를 피난처로
삼을 것이며
마음이 곧은 자들은 다

1Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
