불법적인 성관계를 금함
1여호와께서 모세를 통하여 이스라엘 백성에게 말씀하셨다. “나는 여
2호와 너희 하나님이다.
3너희는 오랫동안 살았던 이집트 땅의 풍습을 좇지 말고 내가 너희를 인도할 가나안 땅의 풍습도 좇지 말아라.
4너희는 내 법에 순종하고 내가 명령한 것을 그대로 준수하라. 나는 너희 하나님 여호와이다.
5그러므로 너희는 나의 법과 규정을 지켜야 한다. 사람이 이것을 행하면 살 것이다. 나는 여호와이다.
6“너희는 가까운 친척과 성관계를 하지 말아라. 나는 여호와이다.
7너희 자녀들은 부모에게 절대로 부끄러운 짓을 해서는 안 된다.
8또 너희는 아버지의 첩에게 부끄러운 짓을 하지 말아라.
9너희는 친자매이든 의붓자매이든, 그들이 너희와 한집에서 태어났든지 다른 곳에서 태어났든지 일체 그들과 성관계를 해서는 안 된다.
10너희는 친손녀나 외손녀를 욕보이지 말아라. 그들은 가까운 친척이다.
11너희는 의붓누이와 성관계를 하지 말아라. 그녀도 역시 너희 자매이다.
12너희는 너희 고모에게 부끄러운 짓을 하지 말아라. 그녀는 너희 아버지와 가까운 친척이다.
13너희는 너희 이모에게 부끄러운 짓을 하지 말아라. 그녀는 너희 어머니와 가까운 친척이다.
14너희는 너희 아버지 형제의 아내를 가까이하여 부끄러운 짓을 하지 말아라. 그들은 너희 백모와 숙모이다.
15너희는 너희 며느리를 욕보이지 말아라. 그녀는 너희 아들의 아내이다.
16너희는 너희 형제의 아내와 성관계를 하지 말아라. 그들은 너희 형수와 제수이다.
17너희는 너희가 성관계를 가진 여인의 딸이나 손녀를 욕보이지 말아라. 그들은 피를 함께 나눈 자들이므로 이런 짓은 악한 행위이다.
18너희는 아내가 살아 있는 동안 그녀의 자매를 또 다른 아내로 맞아 그들이 서로 시기하는 일이 없도록 하라.
19“너희는 월경중에 있는 부정한 여자와 성관계를 하지 말아라.
20또 너희는 남의 아내와 간통하여 너희 자신을 더럽히지 말아라.
21“너희는 너희 자녀를 이방 신 몰렉에게 주어 불로 태우는 제물이 되게 함으로써 너희 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 하지 말아라. 나는 여호와이다.
22너희는 절대로 동성 연애를 해서는 안 된다. 이것은 추잡한 짓이다.
23남자이든 여자이든 누구든지 짐승과 음란한 짓을 하여 자신을 더럽히지 말아라. 이것은 무서운 죄이다.
24“너희는 이런 추잡한 일로 자신을 더럽히지 말아라. 내가 너희 앞에서 쫓아낼 이방 민족들이 이런 죄로 더럽혀졌고
25그들의 온 땅도 더럽혀졌으므로 내가 그 땅에 사는 사람들을 벌하여 18:25 또는 ‘그 땅이 그 거민을 토하여 낼 것이다’그 곳에서 쫓아낼 것이다.
26-27그들은 이런 악한 짓을 하여 그 땅을 더럽혔으나 너희만은 그렇게 해서는 안 된다. 너희는 이스라엘 사람이건 너희 가운데 사는 외국인이건 모두 나 여호와의 법과 규정을 따르고 지켜야 한다.
28너희가 만일 그 땅을 더럽히면 내가 쫓아낼 민족과 마찬가지로 너희도 그 땅에서 쫓아내겠다.
29누구든지 이런 악한 일을 하나라도 범하는 자는 내 백성 가운데서 제거될 것이다.
30그러므로 너희는 내 명령에 순종해야 하며 이런 악습을 따라서는 안 된다. 너희는 앞으로 들어가 살 그 땅의 백성들이 행하는 악한 풍습을 좇아 너희 자신을 더럽히지 말아라. 나는 너희 하나님 여호와이다.”
Unlawful Sexual Relations
1The Lord said to Moses, 2“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. 3You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. 4You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God. 5Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord.
6“ ‘No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the Lord.
7“ ‘Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her.
8“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s wife; that would dishonor your father.
9“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.
10“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter; that would dishonor you.
11“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister.
12“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s sister; she is your father’s close relative.
13“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister, because she is your mother’s close relative.
14“ ‘Do not dishonor your father’s brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations; she is your aunt.
15“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; do not have relations with her.
16“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife; that would dishonor your brother.
17“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. Do not have sexual relations with either her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness.
18“ ‘Do not take your wife’s sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is living.
19“ ‘Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period.
20“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife and defile yourself with her.
21“ ‘Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.
22“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.
23“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion.
24“ ‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
29“ ‘Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off from their people. 30Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’ ”
