1And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, 2And said unto me, What seest thou? 1แล้วทูตสวรรค์ที่สนทนากับข้าพเจ้ากลับมาปลุกข้าพเจ้า เหมือนปลุกให้ตื่นจากหลับ 2ทูตนั้นถามข้าพเจ้าว่า “เจ้าเห็นอะไร?”
ข้าพเจ้าตอบว่า “เห็นคันประทีปทองคำ มีชามน้ำมันอยู่บนยอด และมีตะเกียงเจ็ดดวง โดยมีท่อตะเกียงเจ็ดท่อส่งน้ำมันไปจุดตะเกียง 3มีต้นมะกอกเทศสองต้นอยู่ใกล้คันประทีปนั้น ต้นหนึ่งอยู่ทางขวาของชามน้ำมันและอีกต้นอยู่ทางซ้าย”
4ข้าพเจ้าถามทูตที่สนทนากับข้าพเจ้าว่า “ท่านเจ้าข้า สิ่งเหล่านั้นคืออะไร?”
5ทูตนั้นย้อนถามว่า “เจ้าไม่รู้หรือว่าสิ่งเหล่านี้คืออะไร?”
ข้าพเจ้าตอบว่า “ท่านเจ้าข้า ข้าพเจ้าไม่ทราบ”
6ทูตนั้นจึงกล่าวว่า “ก่อนอื่นเจ้าจงแจ้งเศรุบบาเบลถึงพระดำรัสขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าที่มีมาถึงเขาว่า ‘ไม่ใช่ด้วยกำลัง ไม่ใช่ด้วยฤทธิ์อำนาจ แต่โดยวิญญาณของเรา’ พระยาห์เวห์ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์ตรัสดังนั้น
7“ภูเขาที่ยิ่งใหญ่เอ๋ย เจ้ามีอะไรดี4:7 หรือเจ้าเป็นใคร? ต่อหน้าเศรุบบาเบลเจ้าจะราบเป็นหน้ากลอง แล้วเขาจะนำศิลามุมเอกมาสถาปนาในพระวิหารท่ามกลางเสียงโห่ร้องว่า ‘ขอพระเจ้าทรงอวยพรพระวิหาร! ขอพระเจ้าทรงอวยพรพระวิหาร!’ ”
8แล้วมีพระดำรัสขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้ามาถึงข้าพเจ้าว่า 9“เศรุบบาเบลได้ลงมือวางฐานรากของพระวิหารแห่งนี้ และมือของเขาจะสร้างจนสำเร็จ แล้วเจ้าจะรู้ว่าพระยาห์เวห์ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์ได้ทรงส่งเรามาหาพวกเจ้า
10“ใครบังอาจดูถูกสิ่งเล็กน้อยที่เกิดขึ้นในวันนี้? เพราะพระเนตรทั้งเจ็ดขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าซึ่งมองไปทั่วพิภพจะชื่นชมยินดีเมื่อเห็นศิลามุมเอกที่คัดสรร4:10 หรือสายดิ่งอยู่ในมือเศรุบบาเบล4:10 หรือใครบังอาจดูถูกสิ่งเล็กน้อยที่เกิดขึ้นในวันนี้? ผู้คนจะชื่นชมยินดีเมื่อเห็นสายดิ่งในมือเศรุบบาเบล “(ตะเกียงเจ็ดดวงนี้คือพระเนตรขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าซึ่งมองไปทั่วพิภพ)” ”
11แล้วข้าพเจ้าจึงถามทูตองค์นั้นว่า “ต้นมะกอกเทศทั้งสองต้นที่ขนาบด้านซ้ายและขวาของคันประทีปหมายถึงอะไร?”
12และข้าพเจ้าถามอีกว่า “กิ่งมะกอกเทศทั้งสองกิ่งที่อยู่ข้างๆ ท่อทองคำทั้งสองซึ่งส่งน้ำมันสีทองไปยังตะเกียงหมายถึงอะไร?”
13ทูตนั้นตอบว่า “เจ้าไม่รู้ความหมายของสิ่งเหล่านี้หรือ?”
ข้าพเจ้าตอบว่า “ท่านเจ้าข้า ข้าพเจ้าไม่ทราบ”
14ดังนั้นเขาจึงกล่าวว่า “สิ่งเหล่านี้หมายถึงบุคคลทั้งสองที่ได้รับการเจิมตั้งให้4:14 หรือสองคนผู้นำน้ำมันมาและทำหน้าที่รับใช้องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งสากลโลก”
