To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David.
1Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
2From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
4I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.61.4 trust: or, make my refuge
5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
6Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.61.6 Thou…: Heb. Thou shalt add days to the days of the king61.6 as…: Heb. as generation and generation
7He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
دعا برای محافظت
1ای خدا، فريادم را بشنو و دعای مرا اجابت فرما! 2از اين ديار غريب، تو را به كمک می‌طلبم. مرا كه فكرم پريشان است به پناهگاهی مطمئن هدايت كن. 3زيرا تو در برابر دشمنانم حامی و پناهگاه من بوده‌ای.
4بگذار تمام عمرم در خيمهٔ تو ساكن شوم و در زير سايهٔ بالهای تو پناه گيرم. 5خدايا، تو قولهايی را كه داده‌ام، شنيده‌ای، و بركاتی را نصيبم ساخته‌ای كه به كسانی كه نام تو را گرامی می‌دارند، می‌بخشی.
6عمر پادشاه را زياد كن تا سالهای سال سلطنت كند. 7باشد كه تا ابد در حضور تو ای خدا، او حكومت كند. او را با رحمت و راستی خود محافظت فرما.
8پس هميشه تو را ستايش خواهم كرد و هر روز به قولهايی كه به تو داده‌ام وفا خواهم نمود.
