5Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

1Faz-me justiça, ó Deus;
defende-me das acusações desta gente ímpia.
Livra-me do homem enganador e perverso.
2Pois tu, meu Deus, és o lugar onde me abrigo.
Porque me pões de lado?
Porque hei de viver assim triste,
com a opressão dos meus inimigos?
3Envia-me a tua luz e a tua verdade,
para que me guiem e me levem
à tua santa habitação, ao teu santo monte.
4Então chegar-me-ei ao altar de Deus,
do Deus que é a minha grande alegria.
Eu te louvarei com a minha harpa, meu Deus!
5Porque estás abatida, ó minha alma?
Porque estás perturbada?
Confia em Deus, pois ainda o louvarei.
Ele é a minha salvação! Ele é o meu Deus!
