2While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
3Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.146.3 help: or, salvation
4His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
5Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
6Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
7Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:
8The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
9The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
10The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.
در ستايش خدای نجات دهنده
1خداوند را سپاس باد!
ای جان من، خداوند را ستايش كن. 2آری، تا زنده‌ام خداوند را سپاس خواهم گفت؛ تا نفس دارم خدای خود را ستايش خواهم كرد.
3بر رهبران انسانی توكل نكنيد؛ آنها همگی فانی هستند و قادر به نجات دادن نيستند. 4وقتی آنها می‌ميرند به خاک باز می‌گردند و تمام نقشه‌هايشان نقش بر آب می‌شود!
5اما خوشا به حال كسی كه خدای يعقوب مددكار اوست و اميدش بر يهوه، خدای او می‌باشد، 6همان خدايی كه آسمان و زمين و دريا و آنچه را كه در آنهاست، آفريد. او خدايی است كه هميشه نسبت به وعده‌هايش امين می‌ماند، 7به داد مظلومان می‌رسد، و گرسنگان را سير می‌كند. خداوند اسيران را آزاد می‌سازد، 8چشمان كوران را باز می‌كند و آنان را كه زير بار مشقت خم شده‌اند، راست می‌گرداند. خداوند نيكان را دوست دارد، 9از غريبان محافظت می‌كند، از يتيمان و بيوه‌زنان نگهداری می‌نمايد؛ اما نقشه‌های بدكاران را نقش بر آب می‌كند.
10خداوند تا ابد سلطنت می‌نمايد. ای اورشليم، خدای تو در طی تمام دورانها حكمرانی خواهد كرد. خداوند را سپاس باد!
