A Song of degrees.
1When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.126.1 turned…: Heb. returned the returning
2Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.126.2 hath…: Heb. hath magnified to do with them
3The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.126.5 joy: or, singing
6He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.126.6 precious…: or, seed basket
دعا برای بازيافتن نعمتهای گذشته
1هنگامی كه خداوند ما را از اسارت به اورشليم باز آورد، فكر كرديم كه خواب می‌بينيم! 2سپس دهان ما از خنده پر شد و سرود شادی سر داديم! آنگاه قومهای ديگر دربارهٔ ما گفتند: «خداوند برای بنی‌اسرائيل كارهای شگفت‌انگيز كرده است!»
3آری خداوندا، تو برای ما كارهای شگفت‌انگيز كرده‌ای و ما را آزاد ساخته‌ای!
4ای خداوند، آنچه را از دست داده‌ايم به ما بازگردان؛ چنانكه باران، آب را به زمين خشک باز می‌گرداند. 5بگذار آنانی كه با اشک می‌كارند، با شادی درو كنند!
6كسانی كه با اميد و انتظار بيرون رفته بذر می‌افشانند، با شادی محصول خود را باز خواهند آورد.
