2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.112.5 discretion: Heb. judgment
6Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
خوشبختی درستكاران
1خداوند را سپاس باد!
خوشا به حال كسی كه از خداوند می‌ترسد و احكام او را با رغبت انجام می‌دهد. 2فرزندان شخص درستكار در دنيا نيرومند خواهند شد و نسل او بركت خواهند يافت. 3خانواده‌اش صاحب مال و ثروت خواهد شد و خوبی‌های او هرگز از ياد نخواهد رفت.
4برای كسی كه درستكار و بخشنده، مهربان و نيكوكار است، حتی در تاريكی شب نيز نور طلوع می‌كند. 5خوشبخت است كسی كه دلسوز و قرض دهنده باشد و در كسب و كارش با انصاف باشد. 6او در زندگی پيوسته ثابت قدم و پايدار خواهد بود و نام نيكش هميشه در يادها باقی خواهد ماند.
7او از شنيدن خبر بد نمی‌ترسد، زيرا ايمان او قوی است و بر خداوند توكل دارد. 8او نگران نمی‌شود و نمی‌ترسد زيرا مطمئن است كه شكست دشمنانش را خواهد ديد. 9با سخاوتمندی به فقيران می‌بخشد؛ اثرات نيكوكاری او تا ابد باقی می‌ماند و هميشه نزد مردم سربلند و محترم می‌باشد. 10بدكاران اين را می‌بينند و خشمگين می‌شوند؛ دندانهای خود را به هم می‌فشارند و همراه آرزوهايشان از بين می‌روند.
