1For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, 2I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. 3And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. 4Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head; 5Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:3.5 pleasant: Heb. desirable 6The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.3.6 the Grecians: Heb. the sons of the Grecians 7Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head: 8And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
9¶ Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:3.9 Prepare: Heb. 18¶ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.3.18 flow: Heb. go 19Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. 20But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.3.20 dwell: or, abide 21For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.3.21 for the…: or, even I the LORD that
የተፈረደባቸው ሕዝቦች
1“በዚያ ዘመን፣ በዚያ ጊዜ፣
የይሁዳንና የኢየሩሳሌምን ምርኮ ስመልስ፣
2አሕዛብን ሁሉ እሰበስባለሁ፤
ወደ ኢዮሣፍጥም3፥2 ኢዮሣፍጥ፣ የስሙ ትርጕም እግዚአብሔር ይፈርዳል ማለት ነው፤ 12 ላይም እንዲሁ፤ ሸለቆ አወርዳቸዋለሁ፤
ስለ ርስቴ፣ ስለ ሕዝቤ፣ ስለ እስራኤል፣
በዚያ ልፈርድባቸው እገባለሁ፤
ምድሬን ከፋፍለዋል፤
ሕዝቤንም በሕዝቦች መካከል በታትነዋልና።
3በሕዝቤ ላይ ዕጣ ተጣጣሉ፤
ወንዶች ልጆችን በዝሙት ዐዳሪዎች ለወጡ፤
ወይን ጠጅ ለመጠጣትም፣
ሴቶች ልጆችን ሸጡ።
4“ጢሮስና ሲዶና እንዲሁም እናንተ የፍልስጥኤም ግዛቶች ሁሉ ሆይ፤ እንግዲህ በእኔ ላይ ምን አላችሁ? ስላደረግሁት ነገር ብድር ልትመልሱልኝ ነውን? የምትመልሱልኝ ከሆነ፣ በፍጥነትና በችኰላ እናንተ ያደረጋችሁትን በራሳችሁ ላይ መልሼ አደርግባችኋለሁ። 5ብሬንና ወርቄን ወስዳችኋል፤ የተመረጠውንም ንብረቴን ተሸክማችሁ ወደ ቤተ መቅደሳችሁ አስገብታችኋልና። 6ከገዛ ምድራቸው ልታርቋቸው፣ የይሁዳንና የኢየሩሳሌምን ሰዎች ለግሪኮች ሸጣችኋቸው።
7“እነሆ፤ እነርሱን ከሸጣችሁባቸው ቦታዎች አነሣሣቸዋለሁ፤ እናንተም ያደረጋችሁትን በገዛ ራሳችሁ ላይ እመልስባችኋለሁ። 8ወንዶችንና ሴቶች ልጆቻችሁን ለይሁዳ ሰዎች ሸጣለሁ፤ እነርሱም መልሰው በሩቅ ላሉት ለሳባ ሰዎች ይሸጧቸዋል፤” እግዚአብሔር ይህን ተናግሯልና።
9በሕዝቦች መካከል ይህን ዐውጁ፤
ለጦርነት ተዘጋጁ፤
ተዋጊዎችን አነሣሡ፤
ጦረኞችም ሁሉ ቀርበው ያጥቁ።
10ማረሻችሁ ሰይፍ፣
ማጭዳችሁም ጦር እንዲሆን ቀጥቅጡት፤
ደካማውም ሰው፣
“እኔ ብርቱ ነኝ” ይበል።
11እናንት በዙሪያ ያላችሁ ሕዝቦች ሁላችሁ፤
ፈጥናችሁ ኑ፤ በዚያም ተሰብሰቡ።
እግዚአብሔር ሆይ፤ ተዋጊዎችህን ወደዚያ አውርድ!
12“ሕዝቦች ይነሡ፤
ወደ ኢዮሣፍጥም ሸለቆ ፈጥነው ይውረዱ፤
ዙሪያውን ባሉት ሕዝቦች ሁሉ ላይ ልፈርድ፣
በዚያ እቀመጣለሁና።
13ማጭዱን ስደዱ፤
መከሩ ደርሷልና፤
ኑ ወይኑን ርገጡ፤
የወይን መጭመቂያው ሞልቶ፣
ከጕድጓዶቹም ተርፎ ፈስሷልና፤
ክፋታቸው እንደዚህ ታላቅ ነው።”
14ብዙ ሕዝብ፣ በጣም ብዙ ሕዝብ፣
ፍርድ በሚሰጥበት ሸለቆ ተሰብስቧል፤
ፍርድ በሚሰጥበት ሸለቆ፣
የእግዚአብሔር ቀን ቀርቧልና።
15ፀሓይና ጨረቃ ይጨልማሉ፤
ከዋክብትም ከእንግዲህ አያበሩም።
16እግዚአብሔር ከጽዮን ጮኾ ይናገራል፤
ከኢየሩሳሌም ያንጐደጕዳል፤
ሰማይና ምድርም ይናወጣሉ፤
እግዚአብሔር ግን ለሕዝቡ መሸሸጊያ፣
ለእስራኤልም ልጆች መጠጊያ ይሆናል።
በረከት ለእግዚአብሔር ሕዝብ
17“ከዚያም እኔ አምላካችሁ እግዚአብሔር፣
በቅዱሱ ተራራዬ በጽዮን እንደምኖር ታውቃላችሁ፤
ኢየሩሳሌም የተቀደሰች ትሆናለች፤
ከእንግዲህም ወዲያ ባዕዳን አይወርሯትም።
18“በዚያ ጊዜ ተራሮች፣ አዲስ የወይን ጠጅ ያንጠባጥባሉ፤
ኰረብቶችም ወተት ያፈስሳሉ፤
በይሁዳ ያሉ ሸለቆዎች3፥18 ወይም የሸጢም ሸለቆ ሁሉ ውሃ ያጐርፋሉ፤
ከእግዚአብሔር ቤት ምንጭ ይፈልቃል፤
የሰጢምን ሸለቆ ያጠጣል።
19ግብፅ ባድማ፣
ኤዶምም ምድረ በዳ ትሆናለች፤
በምድራቸው ንጹሕ ደም በማፍሰስ፣
በይሁዳ ሕዝብ ላይ ግፍ ፈጽመዋልና።
20ይሁዳ ለዘላለም፣
ኢየሩሳሌምም ለትውልድ ሁሉ መኖሪያ ትሆናለች፤
21ደማቸውን እበቀላለሁ፤
በደለኛውንም ንጹሕ አላደርግም።”
እግዚአብሔር በጽዮን ይኖራል!
