1Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words. 2Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.33.2 in my mouth: Heb. in my palate 3My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly. 4The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. 5If thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up. 6Behold, I am according to thy wish in God’s stead: I also am formed out of the clay.33.6 wish: Heb. mouth33.6 formed: Heb. cut 7Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.
8Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,33.8 hearing: Heb. ears 9I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me. 10Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy, 11He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths. 12Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man. 13Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.33.13 he giveth…: Heb. he answereth not
14For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. 15In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; 16Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,33.16 he…: Heb. he revealeth, or, uncovereth 17That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.33.17 purpose: Heb. work 18He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.33.18 from perishing: Heb. from passing

29Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,33.29 oftentimes: Heb. twice and thrice 30To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living. 31Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I will speak. 32If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee. 33If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.
1“Karon, Job, pamatii sing maayo ang tanan nga ihambal ko sa imo. 2Handa na gid ako sa paghambal kag ara na sa punta sang akon dila ang akon inughambal. 3Magahambal ako halin sa akon matarong nga tagipusuon. Ihambal ko sing sinsero ang akon nahibaluan. 4Ang espiritu sang Makagagahom nga Dios amo ang naghimo sa akon kag naghatag sa akon sang kabuhi. 5Sabta ako, kon mahimo mo. Ihanda ang imo mga rason kag atubanga ako. 6Pareho lang ako sa imo sa atubangan sang Dios. Ginporma man ako halin sa duta. 7Gani indi ka magkahadlok sa akon ukon maghunahuna nga daog-daugon ko ikaw.
8“Nabatian ko gid ang mga ginpanghambal mo. Nagsiling ka, 9‘Wala ako sing sala; matinlo ako kag inosente. 10Pero ginapangitaan sang Dios sang rason nga iya ako paantuson. Ginakabig niya ako nga iya kaaway. 11Ginakadenahan niya ang akon mga tiil; ginabantayan niya ang tanan ko nga ginahimo.’
12“Pero Job, sala ka gid sa imo ginsiling. Indi bala nga ang Dios labaw sang sa tawo? 13Ti, ngaa ginaakusar mo siya nga wala niya ginasabat ang reklamo sang tawo? 14Ang matuod, nagahambal permi33:14 permi: ukon, sa nagkalain-lain nga paagi. ang Dios, pero wala lang ini matalupangdan sang tawo. 15Nagahambal siya paagi sa damgo samtang nagakatulog sing mahamuok ang tawo kon gab-i. 16Nagahutik siya sa ila dulunggan sa pagpaandam sa ila, kag ini nakapahadlok sa ila. 17Ginahimo niya ini agod mag-untat ang tawo sa pagpakasala kag pagpabugal, 18kag agod maluwas siya sa kamatayon. 19Kon kaisa ginadisiplina sang Dios ang tawo paagi sa balatian nga nagapaantos sa iya pareho sa sige-sige nga palanakit sang tul-an, 20nga nagapadula sang iya gana sa pagkaon bisan sa pinakamanamit nga pagkaon. 21Naganiwang siya, kag nagaguluwa na ang iya mga tul-an. 22Dali na lang siya mapatay kag magkadto sa lugar sang mga patay.
23“Pero kon may isa lang sa linibo nga mga anghel nga magpatunga sa iya kag sa Dios, kag magpadumdom sa iya kon ano ang husto nga dapat niya himuon,33:23 magpadumdom… himuon: ukon, magsugid nga matarong siya. 24kaluoyan siya sang Dios.33:24 Dios: ukon, anghel. Magasiling ang Dios, ‘Luwasa siya sa kamatayon. Nakakita ako sang inugtubos sa iya.’ 25Dayon magabalik ang maayo niya nga lawas. Magabakod siya liwat pareho sang pamatan-on pa siya. 26Kon magpangamuyo siya sa Dios sabton niya siya. Batunon siya sang Dios sing malipayon, kag ibalik sang Dios sa iya ang iya matarong nga pagkabuhi. 27Dayon magasugid siya sa mga tawo, ‘Nakasala ako, kag naghimo sang indi husto, pero wala ko mabaton ang silot nga bagay kuntani sa akon. 28Ginluwas niya ako sa kamatayon, kag padayon ako nga magkabuhi.’
29“Huo, permi ini ginahimo sang Dios sa tawo. 30Ginaluwas niya ang tawo sa kamatayon agod mabuhi siya. 31Job, pamatii ako sing maayo. Maghipos ka lang, kag pabay-i ako sa paghambal. 32Kon may inughambal ka gid man, maghambal ka, kay gusto ko mahibaluan kon matuod nga wala ka sing sala. 33Pero kon wala ka sing inughambal, maghipos ka kag magpamati sa akon kaalam.”
