1And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. 2Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
3¶ Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: 4Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.49.4 thou shalt…: Heb. do not thou excel49.4 he went…: or, my couch is gone
5¶ Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.49.5 instruments…: or, their swords are weapons of violence 6O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.49.6 digged…: or, houghed oxen 7Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
8¶ Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee. 9Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? 10The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. 11Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: 12His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
13¶ Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.
14¶ Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens: 15And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
16¶ Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. 17Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.49.17 an adder: Heb. an arrow-snake 18I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.
19¶ Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.
20¶ Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.
21¶ Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
22¶ Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:49.22 branches: Heb. daughters 23The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: 24But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) 25Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: 26The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
27¶ Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.
28¶ All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them. 29And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite, 30In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace. 31There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah. 32The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth. 33And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.
ያዕቆብ ልጆቹን ባረከ
49፥1-28 ተጓ ምብ – ዘዳ 33፥1-29
1ከዚህ በኋላ ያዕቆብ ልጆቹን ሁሉ አስጠርቶ እንዲህ አላቸው፤ “በኋለኛው ዘመን ምን እንደሚደርስባችሁ እነግራችሁ ዘንድ ተሰብሰቡ፤
2“እናንተ የያዕቆብ ልጆች ሆይ፤
ተሰብሰቡና ስሙ፤
አባታችሁ እስራኤልንም አድምጡ፤
3“ሮቤል፣ አንተ የበኵር ልጄ ነህ፤
ኀይሌና የጕብዝናዬም መጀመሪያ፤
በክብር ትልቃለህ፤ በኀይልም
ትበልጣለህ።
4እንደ ውሃ የዋለልህ ነህና እልቅና
አይኖርህም፤
የአባትህን መኝታ ደፍረሃል፤
ምንጣፌንም አርክሰሃል።
5“ስምዖንና ሌዊ ወንድማማቾች፣
ሰይፎቻቸው49፥5 በዕብራይስጥ የዚህ ቃል ትርጕም አይታወቅም። የዐመፅ መሣሪያዎች ናቸው።
6ወደ ሸንጓቸው አልግባ፤
ጉባኤያቸው ውስጥ አልገኝ፤
በቍጣ ተነሣሥተው ሰዎችን ገድለዋል፤
የበሬዎችንም ቋንጃ እንዳሻቸው ቈራርጠዋል።
7እጅግ አስፈሪ የሆነ ቍጣቸው፣
ጭከና የተሞላ ንዴታቸው የተረገመ ይሁን፤
በያዕቆብ እበትናቸዋለሁ፤
በመላው እስራኤልም አሠራጫቸዋለሁ።
8“ይሁዳ፣49፥8 ይሁዳ የሚለው ቃል ውዳሴ የሚል ትርጕም ካለው የዕብራይስጥ ቃል የመጣ ሲሆን፣ ከዚሁ ቃል ጋር አንድ ዐይነት ድምፅ አለው። ወንድሞችህ ይወድሱሃል፤
እጅህም የጠላቶችህን ዐንገት ዐንቆ ይይዛል፤
የአባትህ ልጆች በፊትህ ተደፍተው ይሰግዱልሃል።
9አንተ የአንበሳ ደቦል ይሁዳ፤
ከዐደንህ የምትመለስ ልጄ፣
እንደ አንበሳ ያደፍጣል፤ በምድርም ላይ ይተኛል፤
እንደ እንስት አንበሳም ያደባል፤
ታዲያ ማን ሊቀሰቅሰው ይደፍራል?
10በትረ መንግሥት ከይሁዳ እጅ አይወጣም፤
የገዥነት ምርኵዝም ከእግሮቹ መካከል።
ገዥነት የሚገባው እስኪመጣ ድረስ፣49፥10 ወይም ሴሎ እስኪመጣ ድረስ ወይም ክብር የሚገባው እስኪመጣ ድረስ
ሕዝቦች ሁሉ ይታዘዙታል።
11አህያውን በወይን ግንድ፣
ውርንጫውንም በምርጡ የወይን ሐረግ
ቅርንጫፍ ላይ ያስራል፤
ልብሱን በወይን ጠጅ፣
መጐናጸፊያውንም በወይን ጭማቂ ያጥባል።
12ዐይኖቹ ከወይን ጠጅ የቀሉ፣
ጥርሶቹም ከወተት ይልቅ የነጡ ይሆናሉ።
13“ዛብሎን፣ በባሕር ዳር ይኖራል፤
የመርከቦች መጠጊያም ይሆናል፤
ወሰኑም እስከ ሲዶና ይደርሳል።
14“ይሳኮር፣ በጭነት49፥14 የመስክ ላይ እሳት መካከል የሚተኛ
ዐጥንተ ብርቱ አህያ ነው።
15ማረፊያ ቦታው መልካም፣
ምድሪቱም አስደሳች መሆኗን ሲያይ፣
ትከሻውን ለሸክም ያመቻቻል፤
ተገድዶም ያገለግላል።
16“ዳን፣49፥16 ዳን ማለት ፍትሕ ይሰጣል ማለት ነው። ከእስራኤል ነገዶች እንደ አንዱ ሆኖ፣
በራሱ ሕዝብ ላይ ይፈርዳል።
17ዳን የመንገድ ዳር እባብ፣
የመተላለፊያም መንገድ እፉኝት ነው፤
ጋላቢው የኋሊት እንዲወድቅ፣
የፈረሱን ሰኰና ይነክሳል።
18“እግዚአብሔር ሆይ (ያህዌ)፤ ማዳንህን እጠባበቃለሁ።
19“ጋድን49፥19 ጋድ ማለት ማጥቃት እንዲሁም ወራሪ ሰራዊት ማለት ነው። ወራሪዎች አደጋ ይጥሉበታል፤
እርሱ ግን ዱካቸውን ተከታትሎ ብድሩን ይመልሳል።
20“አሴር ማእደ ሰፊ ይሆናል፤
ለነገሥታትም የሚስማማ ምግብ ያቀርባል።
21“ንፍታሌም ነጻ እንደ ተለቀቀች፣
የሚያማምሩም ግልገሎች49፥21 ወይም ነጻ፤ ውብ ቃሎችን የሚናገር
እንደምትወልድ ሚዳቋ ነው።
22“ዮሴፍ፤ ፍሬያማ የወይን ተክል፣
በምንጭ ዳር የተተከለ ወይን ነው።
ሐረጎቹ ቅጥርን ያለብሳሉ።49፥22 ወይም ዮሴፍ የዱር የፈረስ ግልገል፣ በምንጭ ዳር ያለ የፈረስ ግልገል፣ በባለ ዕርከን ኰረብታ ላይ የዱር አህያ ነው
23ቀስተኞች በጭካኔ አጠቁት፤
በጥላቻም ነደፉት።
24ነገር ግን በያዕቆብ ኀያል አምላክ ክንድ፣49፥23-24 ወይም ቀስተኞች ያጠቃሉ… ያስፈነጥራሉ… ይኖራሉ… ይቈያሉ
እረኛው በሆነው በእስራኤል ዐለት፣ ቀስቱ ጸና፤
ጠንካራ ክንዱም ቀለጠፈ።
25አንተን በሚረዳህ በአባትህ አምላክ፣
በሚባርክህ፣ ሁሉን ማድረግ በሚችል አምላክ፣49፥25 ዕብራይስጡ ሻዳይ ይለዋል
ከላይ ከሰማይ በሚገኝ ረድኤት፣
ከምድር ጥልቅ በሚገኝ በረከት፣
ከማሕፀንና ከጡት በሚገኝ ምርቃት ይባርክሃል።
26ከጥንት ተራሮች በረከት፣
ከዘላለም ኰረብቶች ምርቃት ይልቅ፣
የአባትህ በረከት ይበልጣል።49፥26 …ከአያት ቅድማያቶቼ… ታላቅ ነው
ይህ ሁሉ በዮሴፍ ራስ ላይ ይውረድ፤
በወንድሞቹ መካከል አለቃ በሆነውም ግንባር ላይ ይረፍ።49፥26 ወይም ከ… የተለየ
27“ብንያም፣ ነጣቂ ተኵላ ነው፤
ያደነውን ማለዳ ይበላል፤
የማረከውን ማታ ይከፋፈላል።”
28እነዚህ ሁሉ ዐሥራ ሁለቱ የእስራኤል ነገዶች ናቸው። ይህም እያንዳንዳቸውን ተገቢ በሆነው በረከት አባታቸው ሲባርካቸው የተናገረው ቃል ነው።
የያዕቆብ መሞት
29ከዚህ በኋላ ያዕቆብ እንዲህ ሲል አዘዛቸው፤ “እነሆ፤ ወደ ወገኖቼ የምሰበሰብበት ጊዜ ደርሷል፤ በኬጢያዊው በኤፍሮን ዕርሻ ውስጥ ባለችው ዋሻ ከአባቶቼ ዘንድ ቅበሩኝ፤ 30ይህ በከነዓን ምድር፣ በመምሬ አጠገብ፣ በማክፌላ ዕርሻ ውስጥ ያለው ዋሻ፣ የመቃብር ቦታ እንዲሆን አብርሃም ከኬጢያዊው ኤፍሮን ላይ ከነዕርሻ ቦታው የገዛው ነው። 31በዚያ አብርሃምና ሚስቱ ሣራ ተቀብረዋል፤ በዚያ ይስሐቅና ሚስቱ ርብቃ ተቀብረዋል፤ 32እኔም ልያን የቀበርኋት እዚያው ነው። ዕርሻውና ዋሻው የተገዙት ከኬጢያውያን49፥32 ወይም ከኬጢ ልጆች ላይ ነው።”
33ያዕቆብ እነዚህን ቃላት ለልጆቹ ተናግሮ እንዳበቃ፣ እግሮቹን በዐልጋው ላይ ሰብስቦ፣ የመጨረሻ ትንፋሹን ተነፈሰ፤ ወደ ወገኖቹም ተሰበሰበ።
