6¶ And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. 7And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. 8And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. 9He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. 10And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.10.10 Babel: Gr. 15¶ And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,10.15 Sidon: Heb. Tzidon 16And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite, 17And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, 18And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. 19And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.10.19 Gaza: Heb. 21¶ Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born. 22The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.10.22 Arphaxad: Heb. Arpachshad 23And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash. 24And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.10.24 Salah: Heb. Shelah 25And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.10.25 Peleg: that is Division 26And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, 27And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah, 28And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba, 29And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan. 30And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east. 31These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations. 32These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

8Кушу се родио Неврод. Овај је постао први моћник на земљи. 9Он је био и моћни ловац пред Господом. Зато се каже: „Као Неврод, моћни ловац пред Господом.“ 10Његово царство су у почетку сачињавали: Вавилон, Орех, Архад и Халани у земљи Сенар. 11Из те земље је отишао у Асирију и подигао Ниниву, Реховот Ир и Халах, 12те Ресен између Ниниве и великог града Халаха.
13Од Мисраима су, пак, потекли
Лудејци, Енемејци, Лавејци и Нафтухијци, 14па Патрошани, Хаслоњани (од којих су потекли Филистејци) и Кафтореји.
15Ханану се родио Сидон, његов првенац, и Хет. 16Од Ханана воде порекло Јевусејци, Аморејци, Гергешани, 17Евејци, Арукејци, Синијци, 18Арвађани, Самарјани, и Амаћани.
После су се хананска племена расејала, 19тако да се граница Хананаца протезала од Сидона према Герару, све до Газе, па према Содоми и Гомори, Адми и Севојиму, све до Ласа.
20То су Хамови потомци, према својим племенима и језицима, по својим земљама и народима.
Симовци
21А и Симу, праоцу свих синова Еверових, старијем брату Јафетовом, родили су се синови.
22Симови синови:
Елам, Асур, Арфаксад, Луд и Арам.
23А Арамови синови су:
Уз, Ул, Гетер и Мас.
24Арфаксаду се, пак, родио Сала,
а Сали Евер.
25Еверу су се родила два сина:
један се звао Фалек, јер су се за време његовог живота људи на земљи поделили; а његов брат се звао Јектан.
26Јектану су се родили
Елмодад, Салеф, Ацармавет и Јарах, 27Адорам, Узал, Дикла, 28Овал, Авимаил, Сава, 29Офир, Евила и Јовав; сви ови су били Јектанови синови.
30Њихова су се насеља протезала од Масе до Сафира, источног горја.
31То су Симови синови према својим племенима и језицима, земљама и народима.
32То су племена Нојевих синова према својим родословима и народима. Од њих су се разгранали народи после потопа.
