1And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest. 2And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount. 3And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.
4¶ And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
5And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. 6And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. 8And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. 9And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
10¶ And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee. 11Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite. 12Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee: 13But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:34.13 images: Heb. statues 14For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: 15Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; 16And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods. 17Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
18¶ The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt. 19All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.34.19 sheep: or, kid 20But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.34.20 lamb: or, kid
21¶ Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.

23¶ Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel. 24For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year. 25Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning. 26The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk. 27And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
28And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.34.28 commandments: Heb. words
29¶ And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. 30And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. 31And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them. 32And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai. 33And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face. 34But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded. 35And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
لوحهای سنگی دوباره ساخته می‌شود
(تثنيه 10:1-5)
1خداوند به موسی فرمود: «دو لوح سنگی مثل لوحهای اول كه شكستی تهيه كن تا دوباره ده فرمان را روی آنها بنويسم. 2فردا صبح حاضر شو و از كوه سينا بالا بيا و بر قلهٔ كوه در حضور من بايست. 3هيچكس با تو بالا نيايد و كسی هم در هيچ نقطهٔ كوه ديده نشود. گله و رمه هم نزديک كوه نچرند.»
4موسی همانطور كه خداوند فرموده بود، صبح زود برخاست و دو لوح سنگی مثل لوحهای قبلی تراشيد و آنها را به دست گرفته، از كوه سينا بالا رفت.
5-6آنگاه خداوند در ابر نزول فرمود و كنار او ايستاد. سپس از برابر موسی عبور كرد و نام مقدس خود را ندا داد و فرمود: «من خداوند هستم، خدای رحيم و مهربان، خدای ديرخشم و پراحسان؛ خدای امين كه 7به هزاران نفر رحمت می‌كنم و خطا و عصيان و گناه را می‌بخشم؛ ولی گناه را هرگز بی‌سزا نمی‌گذارم. انتقام گناه پدران را از فرزندان آنها تا نسل چهارم می‌گيرم.»
8موسی در حضور خداوند به خاک افتاد و او را پرستش كرده، 9گفت: «خداوندا، اگر واقعا مورد لطف تو قرار گرفته‌ام، استدعا می‌كنم كه تو نيز همراه ما باشی. می‌دانم كه اين قوم سركشند، ولی از سر تقصيرها و گناهان ما بگذر و بار ديگر ما را مثل قوم خاص خود بپذير.»
خدا با قوم اسرائيل دوباره عهد می‌بندد
(خروج 23:14-19؛ تثنيه 7:1-5 و 16:1-17)
10خداوند فرمود: «اينک با تو عهد می‌بندم و در نظر تمامی قوم كارهای عجيب می‌كنم كارهای عجيبی كه نظير آن در هيچ جای دنيا ديده نشده است. تمام بنی‌اسرائيل قدرت مهيب مرا كه بوسيلهٔ تو به آنها نشان می‌دهم، خواهند ديد. 11آنچه را كه امروز به شما امر می‌كنم، اطاعت كنيد. من قبايل اموری، كنعانی، حيتی، فرزی، حوی و يبوسی را از سر راه شما برمی‌دارم. 12مواظب باشيد هرگز با آن قبايل پيمان دوستی نبنديد، مبادا شما را به راههای گمراه كننده بكشانند. 13بلكه بايد بتها، مجسمه‌های شرم‌آور و قربانگاه‌های آنها را ويران كنيد. 14نبايد خدايی را جز من عبادت نماييد، زيرا من خدای غيوری هستم و پرستش خدای غير را تحمل نمی‌كنم.
15«هرگز نبايد با ساكنان آنجا پيمان دوستی ببنديد؛ چون آنها به جای پرستش من، بتها را می‌پرستند و برای آنها قربانی می‌كنند. اگر با ايشان دوست شويد شما را به بت‌پرستی خواهند كشانيد؛ 16شما دختران بت‌پرست آنها را برای پسران خود خواهيد گرفت و در نتيجه پسران شما هم از خدا برگشته بتهای زنان خود را خواهند پرستيد.
17«برای خود هرگز بت نسازيد.
18«عيد فطير را هر سال به مدت هفت روز جشن بگيريد. اين جشن را همانطور كه گفتم در ماه ابيب برگزار كنيد، چون در همين ماه بود كه از بندگی مصريان آزاد شديد.
19«تمام نخست‌زاده‌های نر گاو و گوسفند و بز شما به من تعلق دارند. 20در برابر نخست‌زادهٔ نر الاغ، يک بره به من تقديم كنيد و اگر نخواستيد اين كار را بكنيد گردن الاغ را بشكنيد. ولی برای تمام پسران ارشد خود حتماً بايد عوض دهيد.
«هيچكس نبايد با دست خالی به حضور من حاضر شود.
21«فقط شش روز كار كنيد و در روز هفتم استراحت نماييد، حتی در فصل شخم و فصل درو.
22«عيد هفته‌ها را در هنگام نخستين درو گندم و عيد سايبانها را در پاييز كه فصل جمع‌آوری محصول است نگاه داريد.
23«سالی سه بار تمام مردان و پسران قوم اسرائيل بايد برای عبادت به حضور خداوند، خدای اسرائيل بيايند. 24زمانی كه به حضور من می‌آييد، كسی دست طمع به سوی سرزمين شما دراز نخواهد كرد، زيرا تمام قبايل بيگانه را از ميان شما بيرون می‌رانم و حدود سرزمين شما را وسيع می‌گردانم.
25«خون قربانی را هرگز همراه با نان خميرمايه‌دار به حضور من تقديم نكنيد و از گوشت برهٔ عيد پسح تا صبح چيزی باقی نگذاريد.
26«هر سال بهترين نوبر محصولات خود را به خانهٔ خداوند، خدای خود بياوريد.
«بزغاله را در شير مادرش نپزيد.»
27خداوند به موسی فرمود: «اين قوانين را بنويس، چون عهد خود را بر اساس اين قوانين با تو و با قوم اسرائيل بسته‌ام.»
موسی از كوه فرود می‌آيد
28موسی چهل شبانه روز بالای كوه در حضور خداوند بود. در آن مدت نه چيزی خورد و نه چيزی آشاميد. در آن روزها بود كه خداوند ده فرمان را روی دو لوح سنگی نوشت. 29-30وقتی موسی با دو لوح سنگی از كوه سينا فرود آمد، چهره‌اش بر اثر گفتگو با خدا می‌درخشيد؛ ولی خود موسی از اين درخشش خبر نداشت. هارون و قوم اسرائيل وقتی موسی را با آن صورت نورانی ديدند، ترسيدند به او نزديک شوند.
31ولی موسی ايشان را به نزد خود خواند. آنگاه هارون و بزرگان قوم نزد او آمدند و موسی با ايشان سخن گفت. 32سپس تمام مردم پيش او آمدند و موسی دستوراتی را كه خداوند در بالای كوه به او داده بود، به ايشان بازگفت. 33موسی پس از آنكه سخنانش تمام شد، نقابی بر صورت خود كشيد. 34هر وقت موسی به خيمهٔ عبادت می‌رفت تا با خداوند گفتگو كند، نقاب را از صورتش بر می‌داشت. وقتی از خيمه بيرون می‌آمد هر چه از خداوند شنيده بود برای قوم بازگو می‌كرد، 35و مردم صورت او را كه می‌درخشيد، می‌ديدند. سپس او نقاب را دوباره به صورت خود می‌كشيد و نقاب بر صورت او بود تا وقتی كه باز برای گفتگو با خداوند به خيمهٔ عبادت داخل می‌شد.
