1Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. 2The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. 3The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. 4Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. 5The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone. 6Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy. 7And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble. 8And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea. 9The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.15.9 destroy: or, repossess 10Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters. 11Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?15.11 gods: or, mighty ones? 12Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. 13Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation. 14The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina. 15Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away. 16Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased. 17Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established. 18The LORD shall reign for ever and ever. 19For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
20¶ And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. 21And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
22So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
23¶ And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.15.23 Marah: that is Bitterness 24And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? 25And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, 26And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
27¶ And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
Ang Awit ni Moises
1Unya miawit si Moises ug ang mga Israelinhon niini nga awit ngadto sa Ginoo:
“Awitan ko ang Ginoo tungod kay nagmadaogon gayod siya.
Gitambog niya sa dagat ang mga kabayo ug ang mga nagsakay niini.
2Ang Ginoo mao ang nagahatag kanako ug kusog,
ug siya ang akong awit.
Siya ang nagluwas kanako.
Siya ang akong Dios, ug dayegon ko siya.
Siya ang Dios sa akong amahan,15:2 amahan: o, katigulangan. ug pasidunggan ko siya.
3Ginoo ang iyang ngalan, ug usa siya ka manggugubat.
4Gitambog niya sa dagat ang mga karwahe ug mga sundalo sa hari sa Ehipto.
Nangalumos sa Pulang Dagat ang pinakamaayong mga opisyal sa hari.
5Nangalumos sila sa lawom nga tubig;
naunlod sila sa kinahiladman nga daw bato.
6Labihan gayod ang imong gahom, O Ginoo;
pinaagi niini gidugmok mo ang mga kaaway.
7Sa imong pagkagamhanan, gilaglag mo ang mga mikontra kanimo.
Gipatagamtam mo kanila ang imong kasuko nga mipuo kanila nga daw mga dagami nga gisunog.
8Sa usa mo lang ka paghuyop napundok ang tubig.
Natigom ang dakong bul-og sa tubig ug mibarog nga daw paril;
nimala ang yuta taliwala sa dagat.
9Nagpasigarbo ang kaaway nga nagkanayon,
‘Gukdon ko sila ug dakpon;
bahinon ko ang ilang mga kabtangan ug tagbawon ko ang akong kaugalingon niini.
Hulboton ko ang akong espada ug laglagon ko sila.’
10Apan sa usa mo lang ka paghuyop nalumos sila sa dagat.
Naunlod sila sa kinahiladman nga daw tingga.
11O Ginoo, kinsa sa mga dios ang sama kanimo?
Walay sama kanimo sa pagkabalaan ug pagkagamhanan.
Ikaw lang ang Dios nga nagahimo ug katingalahang mga butang!”
12“Pinaagi sa imong gahom15:12 Pinaagi sa imong gahom: sa literal, Giisa mo ang imong tuong kamot. gilamoy sa yuta ang among mga kaaway.
13Sa imong mapinadayonon nga gugma tultolan mo ang mga tawo nga imong giluwas.
Sa imong kusog, tultolan mo sila sa imong balaan nga puloy-anan.
14Madunggan kini sa mga nasod ug magkurog sila sa kahadlok.
Makulbaan gayod ang mga Filistihanon.
15Ang mga pangulo sa Edom ug Moab magakurog sa kahadlok,
ug ang mga pangulo15:15 pangulo: o, lumulupyo. sa Canaan daw malipong sa kahadlok.
16Oo, mangalisang gayod sila.
Pinaagi sa imong pagkagamhanan dili sila makalihok sama sa bato,
hangtod makalabay ang imong katawhan nga imong giluwas,15:16 giluwas: sa literal, gipalit. O Ginoo.
17Dad-on mo ang imong katawhan sa imong yuta,
ug ipahimutang mo sila sa bukid nga imong gipanag-iyahan—ang dapit nga gihimo mo nga imong pinuy-anan, O Ginoo,
ang templo nga ikaw mismo ang naghimo.
18Magahari ka, O Ginoo, sa walay kataposan.
19Ang mga Israelinhon naglakaw sa malang yuta taliwala sa dagat. Apan sa dihang milatas sa dagat ang mga kabayo sa hari ug ang iyang mga karwahe ug mga tigkabayo, gibalik sa Ginoo ang tubig ug natabonan sila.”
20Unya si Miriam nga propeta ug igsoon ni Aaron mikuhag tamborin ug gipangunahan ang mga babaye sa pagtamborin ug sa pagsayaw. 21Ug mao kini ang iyang awit kanila:
“Pag-awit kamo sa Ginoo tungod kay nagmadaogon gayod siya.
Gitambog niya sa dagat ang mga kabayo ug ang mga nagsakay niini.”
Ang Pait nga Tubig
22Gikan sa Pulang Dagat, gidala ni Moises ang mga Israelinhon sa kamingawan sa Shur. Tulo ka adlaw silang nagbaktas sa kamingawan ug wala gayod silay nakita nga tubig. 23Sa dihang nakaabot sila sa Mara, nakakita sila ug tubig, apan dili sila makainom kay pait ang tubig. (Mao kana nga ginganlan kining lugara nga Mara.15:23 Mara: Ang buot ipasabot sa Hebreo, mapait.) 24Tungod niini, mireklamo ang mga Israelinhon kang Moises, “Unsa na lay atong imnon niini?”
25Busa nagpakitabang si Moises sa Ginoo, ug gipakita sa Ginoo kaniya ang usa ka sanga sa kahoy. Gilabay kini ni Moises sa tubig ug nawala ang kapait sa tubig.
Didto naghatag ang Ginoo niini nga tulumanon ug sugo sa pagsulay kanila: 26“Kon mosunod kamo pag-ayo kanako, ang Ginoo nga inyong Dios, ug maghimo ug maayo sa akong atubangan ug motuman sa akong mga sugo ug mga tulumanon, dili ko ipadala kaninyo ang mga sakit nga gipadala ko sa mga Ehiptohanon, kondili kanunay ko kamo ayohon.”
27Mibiya sila sa Mara, ug miabot sila sa Elim, diin may 12 ka tuboran ug 70 ka palma, ug nagkampo sila didto duol sa tubig.
