อิสราเอลไม่ได้หันกลับมาหาพระเจ้า
1ฟังเถิด บรรดาแม่วัวแห่งบาชานบนภูเขาสะมาเรีย
คือพวกผู้หญิงที่กดขี่คนยากไร้และเหยียบย่ำคนขัดสน
คนที่พูดกับสามีว่า “ช่วยเอาเครื่องดื่มมาให้หน่อย!”
2พระยาห์เวห์องค์เจ้าชีวิตทรงปฏิญาณโดยความบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ว่า
“เวลานั้นจะมาถึงอย่างแน่นอน
เมื่อเจ้าจะถูกลากไปด้วยขอเกี่ยว
พวกสุดท้ายจะถูกลากไปด้วยเบ็ด
3เจ้าแต่ละคนจะตรงออกไป
ผ่านรอยแตกของกำแพง
และเจ้าจะถูกเหวี่ยงออกไปยังฮารโมน4:3 ภาษาฮีบรูว่าจะถูกเหวี่ยงออกไป โอ ภูเขาแห่งการกดขี่ข่มเหง(ดูฉบับ LXX.)”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
4“จงไปยังเบธเอลและทำบาป
จงไปยังกิลกาลและทำบาปยิ่งขึ้นไปอีก
เอาเครื่องบูชาไปถวายทุกเช้า
เอาสิบลดไปถวายทุกสามปี4:4 หรือถวายในวันที่สาม
5เอาขนมปังใส่เชื้อมาเผาถวายเป็นเครื่องบูชาขอบพระคุณ
และโอ้อวดเครื่องบูชาตามความสมัครใจ
โอ้อวดเข้าไปเถิด อิสราเอลเอ๋ย
ในเมื่อเจ้ารักที่จะทำเช่นนั้น”
พระยาห์เวห์องค์เจ้าชีวิตประกาศดังนั้น
6“เราให้เจ้าท้องกิ่วไส้แห้ง4:6 ภาษาฮีบรูว่าให้ฟันของเจ้าสะอาดในทุกๆ นคร
ไม่มีอาหารกินในทุกๆ เมือง
ถึงกระนั้นเจ้าก็ไม่ยอมกลับมาหาเรา”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
7“เรางดให้ฝนแก่เจ้าด้วย
สามเดือนก่อนถึงฤดูเก็บเกี่ยว
เราให้ฝนตกในเมืองหนึ่ง
แต่ไม่ให้ฝนตกในอีกเมืองหนึ่ง
นาหนึ่งมีฝน
อีกนาไม่มีและข้าวจะเหี่ยวเฉาไป
8ผู้คนโซซัดโซเซจากเมืองหนึ่งไปอีกเมืองหนึ่งเพื่อหาน้ำ
แต่ก็ได้ไม่พอดื่ม
ถึงกระนั้นเจ้าก็ไม่ยอมกลับมาหาเรา”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
9“หลายครั้งที่เราโจมตีไร่นาและสวนองุ่นของเจ้า
ให้พืชผลถูกทำลายและขึ้นรา
มีตั๊กแตนกัดกินต้นมะเดื่อและต้นมะกอกของเจ้า
ถึงกระนั้นเจ้าก็ไม่ยอมกลับมาหาเรา”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
10“เราส่งภัยพิบัติต่างๆ มาท่ามกลางพวกเจ้า
เหมือนที่เราทำแก่อียิปต์
เราฆ่าหนุ่มฉกรรจ์ของเจ้าด้วยดาบ
ฆ่าพร้อมกับม้าที่เจ้ายึดมาได้
เราทำให้กลิ่นเหม็นที่ตลบไปทั้งค่ายโชยคลุ้งเข้าจมูกเจ้า
ถึงกระนั้นเจ้าก็ไม่ยอมกลับมาหาเรา”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
11“เราคว่ำพวกเจ้าบางคนไป
เหมือนที่เรา4:11 ภาษาฮีบรูว่าพระเจ้าคว่ำโสโดมและโกโมราห์
เจ้าเหมือนดุ้นฟืนที่ถูกฉวยออกมาจากกองไฟ
ถึงกระนั้นเจ้าก็ไม่ยอมกลับมาหาเรา”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
12“ฉะนั้นอิสราเอลเอ๋ย เราจะทำกับเจ้าดังนี้
และเพราะเราจะทำกับเจ้าดังนี้
จงเตรียมตัวพบกับพระเจ้าของเจ้าเถิดอิสราเอลเอ๋ย”
13พระองค์ผู้ทรงก่อร่างสร้างภูเขา
สร้างลม
และทรงสำแดงพระดำริแก่มนุษย์
พระองค์ผู้ทรงแปรเปลี่ยนรุ่งอรุณให้เป็นความมืดมิด
และทรงดำเนินอยู่บนเบื้องสูงของโลก
พระนามของพระองค์คือพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าผู้ทรงฤทธิ์
