6¶ And David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow. 13And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.

18¶ Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war; 19And charged the messenger, saying, When thou hast made an end of telling the matters of the war unto the king, 20And if so be that the king’s wrath arise, and he say unto thee, Wherefore approached ye so nigh unto the city when ye did fight? knew ye not that they would shoot from the wall? 21Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone upon him from the wall, that he died in Thebez? why went ye nigh the wall? then say thou, Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.11.21 Jerubbesheth: also called, Jerubbaal
22¶ So the messenger went, and came and shewed David all that Joab had sent him for. 23And the messenger said unto David, Surely the men prevailed against us, and came out unto us into the field, and we were upon them even unto the entering of the gate. 24And the shooters shot from off the wall upon thy servants; and some of the king’s servants be dead, and thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also. 25Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another: make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.11.25 displease…: Heb. be evil in thine eyes11.25 one…: Heb. so and such
26¶ And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband. 27And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. 2ئەوە بوو دەمەو ئێوارە داود لەسەر قەرەوێڵەکەی هەستا و لە سەربانی کۆشکی پاشا پیاسەی دەکرد، لە سەربانەوە ژنێکی بینی خۆی دەشوات، ژنێکی زۆر جوان بوو. 3داودیش پیاوێکی نارد بۆ سۆراغی ژنەکە و ئەویش پێی گوت: «ئەمە بەتشەبەعی کچی ئەلیعامە و ژنی ئوریای حیتییە.» 4ئینجا داود چەند نێردراوێکی نارد بۆ هێنانی، ژنەکەش لە خوێنلێچوونی مانگانەی پاک ببووەوە و هاتە لای داود، ئەویش لەگەڵی جووت بوو، پاشان ژنەکە گەڕایەوە بۆ ماڵەکەی خۆی. 5ژنەکە سکی پڕ بوو، ناردی و بە داودی ڕاگەیاند و گوتی: «سکم پڕە.»
6داودیش نێردراوی بۆ لای یۆئاب نارد و گوتی: «ئوریای حیتیم بۆ بنێرە.» یۆئابیش ئوریای بۆ لای داود نارد. 7کاتێک ئوریا هاتە لای، داود لە هەواڵی سەلامەتی یۆئاب و سوپا و چۆنیەتی سەرکەوتنی جەنگی پرسی. 8پاشان داود بە ئوریای گوت: «بگەڕێوە ماڵەکەت و قاچەکانت بشۆ.» جا ئوریا لە کۆشکی پاشا چووە دەرەوە، دوابەدوای ئەویش دیارییەک لەلایەن پاشاوە نێردرا بۆی. 9بەڵام ئوریا لە دەروازەی کۆشکی پاشادا لەگەڵ هەموو خزمەتکارەکانی گەورەکەیدا خەوت و نەگەڕایەوە ماڵەکەی خۆی.
10ئینجا بە داود ڕاگەیەنرا کە ئوریا نەگەڕاوەتەوە ماڵەوە. داودیش بە ئوریای گوت: «تۆ لە ڕێوە نەهاتوویت؟ ئەی بۆچی نەگەڕایتەوە ماڵەوە؟»
11ئوریاش بە داودی گوت: «سندوقەکە و ئیسرائیل و یەهودا لەناو چادردا نیشتەجێن، یۆئابی گەورەم لەگەڵ پیاوەکانی پاشام لە دەشتودەر چادریان هەڵداوە. ئایا منیش بچمەوە ماڵەکەم بخۆم و بخۆمەوە و لەگەڵ ژنەکەمدا پاڵ بکەوم؟ بە گیانی تۆ، دڵنیابە، من کاری وا ناکەم!»
12ئینجا داود بە ئوریای گوت: «ئەمڕۆش لێرە بمێنەرەوە و سبەینێ دەتنێرمەوە.» ئیتر ئوریا بۆ ئەو ڕۆژە و ڕۆژی دواتریش لە ئۆرشەلیمدا مایەوە. 13داود بانگی کرد، ئەویش لەگەڵیدا خواردی و خواردیەوە هەتا ئەوەی داود ئەوی مەست کرد، بەڵام ئوریا بۆ ئێوارە ڕۆیشت تاوەکو لەگەڵ خزمەتکارەکانی گەورەکەیدا لە جێگاکەی بنووێت و نەچێتەوە ماڵەکەی خۆی.
14بۆ بەیانی داود نووسراوێکی بۆ یۆئاب نووسی و بە دەستی ئوریادا ناردی. 15لە نووسراوەکەشدا نووسیبووی و دەیگوت: «ئوریا بخەنە ناو گەرمەی شەڕەکەوە و لە پشتی بکشێنەوە هەتا لێی دەدرێت و دەکوژرێت.»
16جا کاتێک یۆئاب گەمارۆی شارەکەی دابوو، ئوریای لەو شوێنە دانا کە دەیزانی پیاوە بەهێزەکان لەوێن. 17لەو کاتەدا پیاوانی شارەکە هاتنە دەرەوە و لە دژی یۆئاب جەنگان، ژمارەیەک لە خزمەتکارەکانی داود کەوتن و ئوریای حیتیش کوژرا.
18یۆئابیش نێردراوێکی نارد و هەموو کاروبارەکانی جەنگی بە داود ڕاگەیاند. 19فەرمانیشی بە نێردراوەکە کرد و گوتی: «پاش ئەوەی وردەکارییەکانی جەنگەکە بۆ پاشا باس دەکەیت، 20ئەگەر تووڕەیی پاشا جۆشا و گوتی: ”بۆچی لە شارەکە نزیک کەوتنەوە بۆ جەنگ؟ ئەی نەتانزانی ئەوان لەسەر شووراکەوە تیرتان تێدەگرن؟ 21کێ ئەبیمەلەخی کوڕی یەروبەشەتی11:21 یەروبەشەت: کە یەروبەعل، کە گدعۆن. کوشت؟ ئایا ژنێک لەسەر شووراوە بەرداشی سەرەوەی دەستاڕێکی تێنەگرت و لە تێڤێچ کوژرا؟ بۆ لە شووراکە نزیک کەوتنەوە؟“ تۆش ئەو کاتە بڵێ: ”هەروەها ئوریای حیتی خزمەتکاریشت کوژراوە.“»
22نێردراوەکە ڕۆیشت، کاتێک هاتە لای داود هەموو ئەو شتانەی پێ ڕاگەیاند کە یۆئاب پێی ڕاسپاردبوو. 23هەروەها نێردراوەکە بە داودی گوت: «پیاوانی شارەکە بەسەرماندا زاڵ بوون، هاتن لە دەشتودەر لەگەڵمان بجەنگن، بەڵام هەتا دەمی دەروازەکە پاشەکشەمان پێکردن. 24ئینجا تیرهاوێژەکان لەسەر شووراکەوە تیربارانیان کردین و ژمارەیەک لە خزمەتکارەکانی پاشا کوژران، ئوریای حیتی خزمەتکاریشت کوژرا.»
25داودیش بە نێردراوەکەی گوت: «ئاوا بە یۆئاب دەڵێیت: ”ئەم کارەت پێ خراپ نەبێت، چونکە شمشێر جارێ ئەم و جارێ ئەو دەخوات. شەڕەکەت لەسەر شارەکە بەتین بکە و کاولی بکە.“ ئەمە بۆ هاندانی یۆئاب بڵێ.»
26کاتێک ژنەکەی ئوریا بیستی کە ئوریای مێردی کوژراوە، شیوەنی بۆ پیاوەکەی گێڕا. 27پاش تێپەڕبوونی ڕۆژانی پرسە، داود بەدوایدا نارد و خستییە پاڵ ماڵەکەی خۆیەوە، ئیتر بوو بە ژنی و کوڕێکی لێی بوو. بەڵام یەزدان ئەم کارەی داودی پێ ناخۆش بوو.
