1Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines. 2And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.

11¶ Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek. 12Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.18.12 Abishai: Heb. 13¶ And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David’s servants. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
14¶ So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people. 15And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder.18.15 recorder: or, remembrancer 16And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;18.16 Abimelech: also called, Ahimelech18.16 Shavsha: also called Seraiah or Shisha 17And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.18.17 about…: Heb. at the hand of the king
大卫的胜利
1后来，大卫打败并征服了非利士人，夺取了迦特及其周围的村庄。 2他又打败了摩押人，使他们称臣、进贡。 3琐巴王哈大底谢出来要巩固他在幼发拉底河一带的权势，大卫打败了他，一直攻到哈马， 4俘获一千辆战车、七千骑兵、两万步兵，砍断拉战车的马匹的蹄筋，只留下够拉一百辆战车的马匹。 5大马士革的亚兰人前来支援琐巴王哈大底谢，大卫杀了他们两万二千人， 6还派军驻守亚兰国的大马士革，亚兰人臣服大卫，向他进贡。耶和华使大卫无往而不胜。 7大卫夺走哈大底谢侍从的金盾牌，带回耶路撒冷， 8又从哈大底谢统治的提巴和均两座城中夺走大量的铜。后来所罗门用这些铜制造铜海、铜柱及各种铜器。
9哈马王陀乌听说大卫打败琐巴王哈大底谢全军， 10就派儿子哈多兰带着许多金银铜器去朝见大卫王，向他请安，祝贺他打败了哈大底谢。因为陀乌常常和哈大底谢交战。 11于是，大卫把这些器皿和他从以东、摩押、亚扪、非利士和亚玛力各国夺来的金银都分别出来，奉献给耶和华。
12洗鲁雅的儿子亚比筛在盐谷击杀了一万八千名以东人。 13大卫在以东驻兵，以东人都臣服他。耶和华使他无往而不胜。
14大卫在全以色列秉公行义，治理百姓。 15那时，洗鲁雅的儿子约押做元帅，亚希律的儿子约沙法做史官， 16亚希突的儿子撒督和亚比亚他的儿子亚希米勒做祭司长，沙威沙做书记， 17耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅统管基利提人和比利提人。大卫王的众子都在他左右做首领。
