悔悟の祈り
1主よ、私たちの身に起こったことをみな
思い出してください。
私たちが、どんなに大きな悲しみを
忍ばなければならないかに、目を留めてください。
2私たちの家にも、国にも、
見知らぬ外国人が住みついています。
3父親は死に、母親は未亡人となり、
私たちは孤児となりました。
4飲み水にさえ、金を払わなければならなくなりました。
たきぎを買おうとすると、
とほうもない値段をつけられます。
5私たちは支配者の足もとにひれ伏し、
いつ終わるとも知れない労働にせき立てられます。
6パンを得るために、
エジプトやアッシリヤに頭を下げます。
7私たちの先祖は罪を犯しましたが、
さばきが下る前に死にました。
私たちは、彼らの受けるはずの刑罰を
背負い込んだのです。
8以前は私たちに仕えていた召使が、
今では主人に取って代わりました。
私たちを救ってくれる者は一人もいません。
9私たちは、
敵に襲われていのちを落とすのを覚悟して、
食べ物を探しに荒野へ行きました。
10皮膚は、飢えのため黒ずんできました。
11敵はエルサレムの女や、
ユダの町々の娘を辱めました。
12指導者たちは彼らの手でつるされ、
長老たちもさげすまれました。
13彼らは、ひき臼をひかせるために若い人たちを、
重い荷をかつがせるために幼い子どもたちを、
労働力として連れ去りました。
14もう町の門に、老人たちは座っていません。
若者が踊ったり歌ったりする姿も、
もう見ません。
15喜びを忘れ、
踊りは死の踊りとなりました。
16私たちの栄光は去り、
頭から冠が転げ落ちました。
私たちが罪を犯したために、
災いが降りかかったのです。
17私たちの心は弱って疲れはて、目はかすんでいます。
18エルサレムと神殿は荒れはてて、住む人もなく、
いるのは廃墟を歩き回る野獣だけです。
19主よ。あなたはいつまでも変わらないお方で、
御座は永久に続きます。
20それなのになぜ、私たちを忘れてしまったのですか。
なぜ、こんなに長い間、
見捨てておくのですか。
21私たちに御顔を向け、
もう一度、みもとに戻してください。
それだけが私たちの望みです。
以前の喜びを返してください。
22それとも、神は私たちを
すっかり見放してしまったのですか。
まだ私たちを怒っているのでしょうか。
