伝道の心がまえ
1さてイエスは、ほかに七十人の弟子を選び、これから訪問する予定の町や村に、二人一組で、先に派遣しました。 2その時、イエスは彼らに、次のような注意をお与えになりました。「収穫はたくさんあるのに、働く人があまりにも少ないのです。ですから、収穫の責任者である主に、もっと大ぜいの働き手を送ってくださるように願いなさい。 3さあ、出かけなさい。だが、これだけは忘れないように。あなたがたを派遣するのは、まるで羊を狼の群れの中に送るようなものです。 4お金も旅行袋も、はき替えのくつも持たないで行きなさい。途中、道草を食ってはいけません。 5どんな家に入っても、神の祝福があるようにと祈りなさい。 6その家が祝福を受けるに値するようなら、祝福はとどまるし、そうでなければ、あなたがたのところに返って来ます。 7一つの村に入ったら、あっちこっち家々を渡り歩いてはいけません。同じ家に泊まり、出される物をいただきなさい。ていねいなもてなしを遠慮することはありません。働く者が報酬を受けるのは当然です。 8-9喜んで迎えてくれる町では、次のことを守りなさい。出された物は何でも食べることと、病人をいやし、『神の国が、すぐそこまで来ている』と宣言すること、この二つです。 10しかし、歓迎してくれないような町では、大通りに出て、こう言いなさい。 11『あなたがたは必ず滅びます。これがそのしるしです。この町のちりは、私の足から払い落として行きます。ただ、神の国がすぐそこまで来ていることは知っておきなさい。』 12よく言っておきますが、さばきの日には、あの邪悪な町ソドム（悪行のため、神に滅ぼされた町）のほうが、その町より罰が軽いのです。
13ああコラジンよ。ああベツサイダの町よ。どんな恐ろしいことが待ち受けていることか。わたしがあなたがたにしたような奇跡を、ツロとシドン（悪行のため、神に滅ぼされた町）でしていたら、そこの人々はとうの昔に荒布をまとい、頭に灰をかぶって嘆き悲しみ、罪を悔い改めたことでしょう。 14さばきの日には、ツロとシドンのほうが、あなたがたより罰が軽いのです。 15ああカペナウムの町よ。あなたがたはどうでしょう。天に上げられるとうぬぼれている者たち。あなたがたは地獄に突き落とされるのです。」
16イエスは、さらに続けて言われました。「あなたがたを受け入れる人は、わたしを受け入れるのです。あなたがたを受け入れない人は、わたしを受け入れないばかりか、わたしを遣わされた神をも受け入れないのです。」
17その後、七十人の弟子たちは喜び勇んで旅から帰って来て、イエスに報告しました。「あなたのお名前を使うと、悪霊どもでさえ言うことを聞きました。」 18「そうです。まるでいなずまのように、サタンが天から落ちるのをわたしは見ました。 19あなたがたには、敵のあらゆる力に打ち勝ち、蛇やさそりを踏みつぶす権威を与えてあります。だから、あなたがたに危害を加えるものなど、一つもないのです。 20しかし、悪霊どもが言うことを聞くからといって、喜んではいけません。ただ、あなたがたの名前が天国の市民として記されていることを喜びなさい。」
21この時、イエスの心は、聖霊が与えてくださる喜びであふれました。「父よ。天地の主であるあなたをほめたたえます。これらのことを賢い者や知恵ある者たちには隠して、小さい子どものように、神を信じきっている者に示してくださいました。ほんとうにありがとうございます。これが、あなたのお心にかなったことでした。 22すべてのことで、わたしはあなたに任せられた役割を務めます。あなただけが子であるわたしの、ほんとうの姿をご存じですし、あなたのことをほんとうに知っているのは、子のわたしと、あなたを知らせようとわたしが選んだ者たちだけなのです。」 23それから弟子たちのほうを向いて、そっと言われました。「あなたがたの目はなんと幸せなことでしょうか。この上なくすばらしいものを見ているのですから。 24多くの預言者や王たちが、あなたがたの見聞きしたことを、見たい、聞きたいと、どれほど願ったか知れませんが、その願いはかなえられなかったのです。」
親切なサマリヤ人
25ある日、律法の専門家がやって来て、イエスを試そうとしました。「先生。お聞きしたいのですが、永遠のいのちを受けるには、何をしたらよろしいでしょうか。」 26「モーセの律法には、何と書いてありますか。」 27「『心を尽くし、たましいを尽くし、力を尽くし、思いを尽くして、あなたの神である主を愛しなさい』（申命6・5）、それに、『自分自身を愛するように、あなたの隣人を愛しなさい』（レビ19・18）とありますが。」 28「そう、そのとおりにすればいいのです。そうすれば、永遠のいのちを得られます。」 29しかし律法の専門家は、自分がある人々を愛していないことを正当化しようと、「隣人とはだれのことですか？」と聞き返しました。
30イエスは直接答える代わりに、たとえを話されました。「エルサレムからエリコへ旅をしていたユダヤ人が、強盗に襲われました。強盗どもは、身ぐるみはぎ取り、あり金全部を奪うと、その人を殴ったり、蹴ったりして半殺しにし、道ばたに放り出して逃げて行きました。 31ちょうどそこへ、ユダヤの祭司が通りかかりました。ふと見ると、旅人が倒れています。でも、めんどうに巻き込まれたくなかったので、道の反対側へ回り、何くわぬ顔で通り過ぎてしまいました。 32しばらくすると、今度はレビ人（神殿で奉仕する人）が通りかかりましたが、彼も、倒れている旅人を横目でちらりとながめただけで行ってしまいました。 33ところが、常日頃ユダヤ人に軽蔑されていたサマリヤ人がたまたま通りかかり、旅人を見つけました。その人をかわいそうに思ったサマリヤ人は、 34急いでそばに近づいて、傷口に薬をぬり、包帯を巻いて応急手当をしました。それから自分のろばに乗せ、宿屋まで運んで、一晩中、看病してあげました。 35翌日、宿屋の主人にデナリ銀貨二枚を渡し、『あの人を介抱してあげてください。足りない分は、私が帰りに寄って払いますから』と頼みました。
36この三人のうちだれが、強盗に襲われた人の隣人になったと思いますか。」 37律法の専門家は答えました。「もちろん、親切にしてやった人です。」この答えを聞くと、イエスは言われました。「そのとおりです。あなたも同じようにしなさい。」
38エルサレムへの旅の途中で、イエスはある村に立ち寄られました。マルタという女が、喜んで一行を家に迎えました。 39マルタにはマリヤという妹がいました。マリヤはイエスのそばに座り込んで、その話にじっと聞き入っていました。 40一方マルタはというと、てんてこ舞いの忙しさで、「どんなおもてなしをしようかしら。あれがいいかしら、それとも……」と、気が落ち着きません。とうとう彼女は、イエスのところへ来て、文句を言いました。「先生。私が目が回るほど忙しい思いをしているのに、妹ときたら、何もしないで座っているだけなんです。少しは手伝いをするように、おっしゃってください。」 41しかし主は、マルタに言われました。「マルタ。あなたは、あまりにも多くのことに気を遣いすぎているようです。 42でも、どうしても必要なことはただ一つだけです。マリヤはそれを見つけたのです。彼女からそれを取り上げてはいけません。」
1After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. 3Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. 4Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. 5And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. 6And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. 7And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. 8And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: 9And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. 10But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, 11Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. 12But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. 13Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 14But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you. 15And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell. 16He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
17¶ And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
21¶ In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. 22All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
23¶ And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: 24For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
25¶ And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. 29But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? 30And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. 33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, 34And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. 36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? 37And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
38¶ Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. 39And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. 40But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
