De verdeling van het land
1‘ “Wanneer u het land onder de stammen van Israël verdeelt, moet u eerst een deel aan de Here geven. Dat is zijn heilige deel. Dit stuk moet ruim 11,25 kilometer lang en 9 kilometer breed zijn. Het zal één heilig gebied zijn. 2Een deel van dit stuk land, 225 bij 225 meter, zal worden gereserveerd voor de tempel. Een strook van 22,50 meter daar omheen moet open terrein blijven. 3De tempel met het Heilige der Heiligen zal worden gebouwd binnen het gebied van 11,25 kilometer lang en 4,5 kilometer breed. 4Dit hele gedeelte zal heilig land zijn, het zal worden gebruikt door de priesters die dienst doen in het heiligdom om daar hun huizen en mijn tempel te bouwen. 5Het stuk grond daarnaast, dat ook 11,25 kilometer lang en 4,5 kilometer breed is, zal het woongebied worden van de Levieten die in de tempel werken. Daar kunnen zij hun steden bouwen. 6In de nabijheid van deze heilige gebieden zal een strook grond van 11,25 kilometer lang en ruim 2,25 kilometer breed worden bestemd voor een nieuwe stad, bedoeld voor alle Israëlieten. 7Twee speciale stukken land moeten worden gereserveerd voor de koning: aan beide kanten van de heilige gebieden en de stad een stuk, oostelijk en westelijk ervan, net zo lang als de heilige gebieden. 8Dit zal zijn gebied zijn. De koningen zullen mijn volk niet langer onderdrukken en beroven, maar elk overschot aan land zullen zij aan het volk toewijzen en verdelen onder de stammen.”
9Want de Oppermachtige Here zegt tegen de heersers: “Houd op mijn volk door geweld en onderdrukking van hun land te beroven en uit hun huizen te verdrijven. Wees altijd eerlijk en oprecht. 10U moet eerlijke schalen, gewichten en inhoudsmaten gebruiken. 11Een homer (dat is tweehonderdtwintig liter) zal uw standaard inhoudsmaat zijn voor vloeistoffen en vaste stoffen. Kleinere inhoudsmaten zullen de efa (een tiende deel van een homer) voor vaste stoffen en de bath (een tiende van een homer) voor vloeistoffen zijn. 12De eenheid van gewicht zal de zilveren sikkel (elf gram) zijn. Die moet altijd worden ingewisseld voor twintig gera en niet minder. Vijf sikkels zijn vijf sikkels en tien sikkels zijn tien sikkels waard, niet minder! Vijftig sikkels zullen altijd gelijk zijn aan een mina.
13Dit is de belasting die u de koning moet betalen: 3,6 liter tarwe of gerst van elke tweehonderdtwintig liter die u oogst; 142,2 liter olijfolie; 15van elke tweehonderd schapen van uw kudden in Israël moet u hem er één geven. Dit zijn de spijsoffers, brandoffers en dankoffers om verzoening te doen over het volk,” zegt de Oppermachtige Here. 16“Alle Israëlieten zullen hun offers naar de koning brengen. 17De koning heeft echter de plicht te zorgen voor de offers die tijdens de vaste feestdagen worden geslacht—brandoffers, spijsoffers en drankoffers—om verzoening te doen voor het volk van Israël. Dit zal worden gedaan bij de feesten, de ceremonieën rond de nieuwe maan, de sabbatten en soortgelijke gebeurtenissen.”
18De Oppermachtige Here zegt: “Op elke nieuwjaarsdag moet u een jonge stier zonder gebreken offeren om de tempel te reinigen. 19De priester zal een hoeveelheid bloed van dit zondoffer nemen en aanbrengen op de deurposten van de tempel, op de vier hoeken van het bovenste platform van het altaar en op de muren bij de ingang van de binnenste voorhof. 20Doe ditzelfde op de zevende dag van die maand, voor de mensen die hebben gezondigd door vergissing of uit onwetendheid, zodat verzoening wordt gedaan over de tempel.
21Op de veertiende dag van diezelfde maand zult u zeven dagen lang Pesach, het Paasfeest, vieren. Tijdens dit feest mag alleen ongezuurd brood worden gegeten. 22Op de dag van Pesach moet de koning voor een jonge stier zorgen die zal worden geofferd als zondoffer voor hem en het hele volk Israël. 23Op elk van de zeven feestdagen zal hij een brandoffer voor de Here gereedmaken. Dit dagelijkse offer moet bestaan uit zeven jonge stieren en zeven rammen, allemaal zonder gebreken.
Bovendien zal elke dag een jonge bok als zondoffer worden geofferd. 24De koning zal tevens voor het spijsoffer zorgen, tweeëntwintig liter voor elke jonge stier en elke ram. Daarbij komt dan nog 3,6 liter olijfolie voor elke tweeëntwintig liter koren. 25Op elk van de zeven dagen van het jaarlijkse feest, dat begint op de vijftiende dag van de zevende maand, zal hij deze zelfde hoeveelheden beschikbaar stellen voor het zondoffer, het brandoffer, het spijsoffer en het olieoffer.” ’

6¶ And ye shall appoint the possession of the city five thousand broad, and five and twenty thousand long, over against the oblation of the holy portion: it shall be for the whole house of Israel.
7¶ And a portion shall be for the prince on the one side and on the other side of the oblation of the holy portion, and of the possession of the city, before the oblation of the holy portion, and before the possession of the city, from the west side westward, and from the east side eastward: and the length shall be over against one of the portions, from the west border unto the east border. 8In the land shall be his possession in Israel: and my princes shall no more oppress my people; and the rest of the land shall they give to the house of Israel according to their tribes.
9¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD.45.9 exactions: Heb. expulsions 10Ye shall have just balances, and a just ephah, and a just bath. 11The ephah and the bath shall be of one measure, that the bath may contain the tenth part of an homer, and the ephah the tenth part of an homer: the measure thereof shall be after the homer. 12And the shekel shall be twenty gerahs: twenty shekels, five and twenty shekels, fifteen shekels, shall be your maneh.
13This is the oblation that ye shall offer; the sixth part of an ephah of an homer of wheat, and ye shall give the sixth part of an ephah of an homer of barley: 14Concerning the ordinance of oil, the bath of oil, ye shall offer the tenth part of a bath out of the cor, which is an homer of ten baths; for ten baths are an homer: 15And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make reconciliation for them, saith the Lord GOD.45.15 lamb: or, kid45.15 peace…: or, thank offerings 16All the people of the land shall give this oblation for the prince in Israel.45.16 shall…: Heb. shall be for45.16 for: or, with 17And it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.45.17 peace…: or, thank offerings 18Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the first month, in the first day of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary: 19And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the posts of the house, and upon the four corners of the settle of the altar, and upon the posts of the gate of the inner court. 20And so thou shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye reconcile the house. 21In the first month, in the fourteenth day of the month, ye shall have the passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten. 22And upon that day shall the prince prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bullock for a sin offering. 23And seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burnt offering to the LORD, seven bullocks and seven rams without blemish daily the seven days; and a kid of the goats daily for a sin offering. 24And he shall prepare a meat offering of an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and an hin of oil for an ephah. 25In the seventh month, in the fifteenth day of the month, shall he do the like in the feast of the seven days, according to the sin offering, according to the burnt offering, and according to the meat offering, and according to the oil.
