Ang Kasulatan kag ang Karnero
1Pagkatapos sadto, may nakita ako nga linukot nga kasulatan sa tuo nga kamot sang nagapungko sa trono. Ang ini nga kasulatan may sulat sa sulod kag sa guwa kag napitlan sang pito ka selyo.5:1 selyo: Ini hinimo halin sa wax kag ginabutang sa kilid sang linukot nga kasulatan agod sarado. 2Kag may nakita dayon ako nga isa ka gamhanan nga anghel nga nagpanawag sa mabaskog nga tingog, “Sin-o bala ang takos nga maghukas sang mga selyo sang linukot nga kasulatan agod mabuksan kag mahumlad?” 3Pero wala gid sing bisan isa didto sa langit, sa kalibutan, ukon sa idalom sang kalibutan nga sarang makaabri kag makabasa kon ano ang nakasulat sa linukot nga kasulatan. 4Gani naghilibion gid ako tungod kay wala gid sing bisan isa nga takos mag-abri kag magbasa sang sini nga kasulatan. 5Karon, ang isa sa mga manugdumala didto nagsiling sa akon, “Indi ka maghibi, tungod kay si Jesus nga mandadaog nga ginatawag nga Leon nga halin sa tribo ni Juda kag kaliwat ni David sarang makahukas sang pito ka selyo sa linukot nga kasulatan agod mahumlad ini.”
6Dayon nakita ko ang isa ka Karnero nga nagatindog didto sa tunga sang trono, nga ginalibutan sang apat ka buhi nga mga tinuga kag sang mga manugdumala. Kon tan-awon, daw sa ginpatay ini nga Karnero. May pito ini ka sungay kag pito man ka mata nga amo ang pito ka Espiritu sang Dios5:6 pito ka Espiritu sang Dios: Tan-awa ang footnote sa 3:1. nga ginpadala sa bug-os nga kalibutan. 7Nagpalapit ang Karnero sa trono kag ginkuha niya dayon ang kasulatan sa tuo nga kamot sang nagapungko didto. 8Pagkakuha niya sang kasulatan, ang apat ka buhi nga mga tinuga kag ang 24 ka manugdumala nagluhod sa pagsimba sa Karnero. Ang kada isa sa ila may yahong nga bulawan nga puno sang insenso nga amo ang mga pangamuyo sang mga katawhan sang Dios. May arpa man ang kada isa sa ila nga ila ginatukar, 9kag nagakanta sila sang isa ka bag-o nga kanta nga nagasiling,
“Ikaw ang takos nga makakuha sang linukot nga kasulatan kag sa paghukas sang iya mga selyo,
tungod kay ginpatay ka, kag paagi sa imo dugo gintubos mo ang mga tawo agod mangin iya sang Dios.
Ginpili mo sila sa tanan nga tribo, lingguahe, lahi kag nasyon.
10Ginhimo mo sila nga mga hari kag mga pari sa pag-alagad sa aton Dios.
Kag padumalahon mo sila sa kalibutan.”
11Dayon nakita ko kag nabatian ang linibo kag minilyon nga mga anghel. Ang ini nga mga anghel nagatilipon didto sa palibot sang trono, sa apat ka buhi nga mga tinuga, kag sa mga manugdumala. 12Kag nagakanta sila sing mabaskog:
“Ang Karnero nga ginpatay takos nga magbaton sang awtoridad, manggad, kaalam, kusog, pagtahod, pagpadungog, kag pagdayaw!”
13Kag nabatian ko dayon ang tanan nga tinuga sa langit, sa duta, sa idalom sang duta, kag sa dagat nga nagakanta:
“Ihatag ta sa nagapungko sa trono kag sa Karnero ang pagdayaw, pagtahod, pagpadungog kag paggahom sa wala sing katapusan!”
14Nagsabat dayon ang apat ka buhi nga mga tinuga, “Amen!” Kag ang mga manugdumala nagluhod kag nagsimba.
The Scroll and the Lamb
1Then I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one sitting on the throne. The scroll had writing on both sides. It was sealed with seven seals. 2I saw a mighty angel calling out in a loud voice. He said, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?” 3But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll. No one could even look inside it. 4I cried and cried. That’s because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. 5Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not cry! The Lion of the tribe of Judah has won the battle. He is the Root of David. He is able to break the seven seals and open the scroll.”
6Then I saw a Lamb that looked as if he had been put to death. He stood at the center of the area around the throne. The Lamb was surrounded by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes. The eyes stand for the seven spirits of God, which are sent out into all the earth. 7The Lamb went and took the scroll. He took it from the right hand of the one sitting on the throne. 8Then the four living creatures and the 24 elders fell down in front of the Lamb. Each one had a harp. They were holding golden bowls full of incense. They stand for the prayers of God’s people. 9Here is the new song they sang.
“You are worthy to take the scroll
and break open its seals.
You are worthy because you were put to death.
With your blood you bought people for God.
They come from every tribe, people and nation,
no matter what language they speak.
10You have made them members of a royal family.
You have made them priests to serve our God.
They will rule on the earth.”
11Then I looked and heard the voice of millions and millions of angels. They surrounded the throne. They surrounded the living creatures and the elders. 12In a loud voice they were saying,
“The Lamb, who was put to death, is worthy!
He is worthy to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength!
He is worthy to receive honor and glory and praise!”
13All creatures in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and on the sea were speaking. The whole creation was speaking. I heard all of them say,
“Praise and honor belong
to the one who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!
Glory and power belong to God for ever and ever!”
14The four living creatures said, “Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.
