Ginpabalik ni Haring Cyrus ang mga Judio sa Ila Duta
(2 Cro. 36:22-23)
1Sang nahauna nga tuig sang paghari ni Cyrus sa Persia, gintandog sang Ginoo ang tagipusuon ni Cyrus nga magsulat sang isa ka pahibalo nga ibantala sa bug-os niya nga ginharian. Natabo ini agod matuman ang ginsiling sang Ginoo paagi kay Jeremias.1:1 agod matuman ang ginsiling sang Ginoo paagi kay Jeremias nga mahilway ang mga Israelinhon sa pagkabihag sa Babilonia pagkaligad sang 70 ka tuig. 2“Amo ini ang pahibalo ni Haring Cyrus sang Persia:
“Ginhatag sa akon sang Ginoo, ang Dios sang langit,1:2 Dios sang langit: ukon, Dios nga ara sa langit; ukon, Dios nga naghimo sang langit; ukon, Dios nga labaw sa tanan. ang tanan nga ginharian diri sa kalibutan, kag gintugyanan niya ako sa pagpatindog sang templo para sa iya didto sa Jerusalem nga sakop sang Juda. 3Kamo tanan nga katawhan sang Dios, magbalik na kamo sa Jerusalem kag patinduga ninyo liwat didto ang templo sang Ginoo, ang Dios sang Israel, nga nagapuyo sa sina nga siyudad. Kag kabay pa nga updan niya kamo. 4Ang mga katawhan sa mga lugar nga ginaestaran ninyo nga mga Israelinhon nga nagkalabilin, dapat magbulig sa inyo, sa inyo nga paglakat. Maghatag sila sang mga pilak kag bulawan, mga kinahanglanon nga mga butang, mga sapat, kag kinabubut-on nga bulig para sa templo sang Dios sa Jerusalem.”
5May mga Israelinhon nga gintandog sang Dios nga magbalik sa Jerusalem. Gani nagpreparar sila sa pagkadto didto agod patindugon ang templo sang Ginoo. Kaupod sa ila amo ang mga pangulo sang mga pamilya sang tribo ni Juda kag sang tribo ni Benjamin, ang mga pari, kag ang mga Levita. 6Ang iban nga mga katawhan nagbulig sa ila paagi sa paghatag sang mga kagamitan nga hinimo halin sa pilak, mga bulawan, mga kinahanglanon nga mga butang, mga sapat, iban pa nga malahalon nga mga butang, kag kinabubut-on nga bulig para sa templo.
7Gin-uli man sa ila ni Haring Cyrus ang mga kagamitan sa templo sang Ginoo nga ginkuha ni Haring Nebucadnezar sa Jerusalem kag gindala sa templo sang iya mga dios-dios. 8Gintugyan ini ni Haring Cyrus kay Mitredat nga tresurero sang iya ginharian. Gin-isip ini ni Mitredat kag ginhatag ang lista kay Sheshbazar, ang gobernador sang Juda. 9-10Amo ini ang gin-isip nga mga kagamitan:1:9-10 Ang mga masunod indi mapat-od sa Hebreo kon ano gid nga mga kagamitan.
11Tanan-tanan, may mga 5,400 ka kagamitan nga bulawan kag pilak. Gindala ini tanan ni Sheshbazar sang nagbalik siya sa Jerusalem halin sa Babilonia kaupod sang iban nga mga ginbihag.
Cyrus Helps the Jews to Return to Jerusalem
1It was the first year of the rule of Cyrus. He was king of Persia. The Lord inspired him to send a message all through his kingdom. It happened so that what the Lord had spoken through Jeremiah would come true. The message was written down. It said,
2“Cyrus, the king of Persia, says,
“ ‘The Lord is the God of heaven. He has given me all the kingdoms on earth. He has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. 3Any of his people among you may go up to Jerusalem and build the Lord’s temple. He is the God of Israel. He is the God who is in Jerusalem. And may their God be with them. 4The people still left alive in every place must bring gifts to the people going. They must provide silver and gold to the people going up to Jerusalem. The people must bring goods and livestock. They should also bring any offerings they choose to. All those gifts will be for God’s temple in Jerusalem.’ ”
5Then everyone God had inspired prepared to go. They wanted to go up to Jerusalem and build the Lord’s temple there. They included the family leaders of Judah and Benjamin. They also included the priests and Levites. 6All their neighbors helped them. They gave them silver and gold objects. They gave them goods and livestock. And they gave them gifts of great value. All those things were added to the other offerings the people chose to give.
7King Cyrus also brought out the objects that belonged to the Lord’s temple. Nebuchadnezzar had carried them off from Jerusalem. He had put them in the temple of his own god. 8Cyrus, the king of Persia, told Mithredath to bring them out. Mithredath was in charge of the temple treasures. He counted those objects. Then he gave them to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.
9Here is a list of the objects.
There were 30 gold dishes.
There were 1,000 silver dishes.
There were 29 silver pans.
10There were 30 gold bowls.
There were 410 matching silver bowls.
There were 1,000 other objects.
11The total number of gold and silver objects was 5,400.
Sheshbazzar brought all of these back with him to Jerusalem. So Sheshbazzar and the Jews who had been forced to leave Judah came up from Babylon to Jerusalem.
