1Tcherani khutu Inu mʼbusa wa Israeli,
Inu amene mumatsogolera Yosefe monga nkhosa;
Inu amene mumakhala pa mpando waufumu pakati pa akerubi, walani
2kwa Efereimu, Benjamini ndi Manase.
Utsani mphamvu yanu;
bwerani ndi kutipulumutsa.
3Tibwezereni mwakale Inu Mulungu;
nkhope yanu itiwalire
kuti tipulumutsidwe.
4Inu Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse,
mpaka liti mkwiyo wanu udzanyeka
kutsutsana ndi mapemphero a anthu anu?
5Mwawadyetsa buledi wa misozi;
mwachitisa iwo kumwa misozi yodzaza mbale.
6Mwachititsa kuti tikhale gwero la mikangano pakati pa anansi athu,
ndipo adani athu akutinyoza.
7Tibwezereni mwakale Inu Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse,
nkhope yanu itiwalire
kuti tipulumutsidwe.
8Munatulutsa mpesa kuchoka ku Igupto;
munathamangitsa anthu a mitundu ina ndi kuwudzala mpesawo.
9Munawulimira munda wamphesawo,
ndipo unamera ndi kudzaza dziko.
10Mapiri anaphimbidwa ndi mthunzi wake,
mikungudza yamphamvu ndi nthambi zake.
11Unatambalitsa nthambi zake mpaka ku nyanja,
mphukira zake mpaka ku mtsinje.
12Chifukwa chiyani mwagwetsa makoma ake
kuti onse amene akudutsa athyole mphesa zake?
13Nguluwe zochokera mʼnkhalango zikuwononga
ndipo zirombo za mthengo zimawudya.
14Bweraninso kwa ife Inu Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse!
Yangʼanani pansi muli kumwambako ndipo muone!
Uyangʼanireni mpesa umenewu,
15muzu umene dzanja lanu lamanja ladzala,
mwana amene inu munamukuza nokha.
16Mpesa wanu wadulidwa ndi kutenthedwa ndi moto;
pakudzudzula kwanu anthu anu awonongeka.
17Dzanja lanu likhale pa munthu amene ali ku dzanja lanu lamanja,
mwana wa munthu amene mwalera nokha.
18Ndipo ife sitidzatembenukira kumbali kuchoka kwa Inu;
titsitsimutseni ndipo tidzayitana pa dzina lanu.
19Tibwezereni mwakale Inu Yehova Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse
nkhope yanu itiwalire
kuti tipulumutsidwe.

1Hear us, Shepherd of Israel,
you who lead Joseph like a flock.
You who sit enthroned between the cherubim,
shine forth 2before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh.
Awaken your might;
come and save us.
3Restore us, O God;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.
4How long, Lord God Almighty,
will your anger smoulder
against the prayers of your people?
5You have fed them with the bread of tears;
you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.

and our enemies mock us.
7Restore us, God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.
8You transplanted a vine from Egypt;
you drove out the nations and planted it.
9You cleared the ground for it,
and it took root and filled the land.
10The mountains were covered with its shade,
the mighty cedars with its branches.
11Its branches reached as far as the Sea,80:11 Probably the Mediterranean
its shoots as far as the River.80:11 That is, the Euphrates
12Why have you broken down its walls
so that all who pass by pick its grapes?
13Boars from the forest ravage it,
and insects from the fields feed on it.
14Return to us, God Almighty!
Look down from heaven and see!
Watch over this vine,
15the root your right hand has planted,
the son80:15 Or branch you have raised up for yourself.
16Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire;
at your rebuke your people perish.
17Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand,
the son of man you have raised up for yourself.
18Then we will not turn away from you;
revive us, and we will call on your name.
19Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.
