Они исполняли свои обязанности по положенным для них установлениям.

39Помощником Емана, совершавшим службу справа от него, был Ософ, сын Берехии, сына Шимеи, 40сына Микаила, сына Баасеи, сына Малхии, 41сына Этни, сына Зераха, сына Адаи, 42сына Етана, сына Зиммы, сына Шимея, 43сына Иахата, сына Гершона, сына Леви.
44А помощником, совершавшим служение слева от него, был мерарит Етан, сын Киши, сына Авди, сына Маллуха, 45сына Хашавии, сына Амасии, сына Хилкии, 46сына Амци, сына Бани, сына Шемера, 47сына Махли, сына Муши, сына Мерари, сына Леви.
48Их собратьям-левитам были поручены все прочие обязанности при священном шатре, доме Всевышнего.
49А Хорун и его потомки совершали приношения на жертвеннике для всесожжений и на жертвеннике для возжигания благовоний, неся службу в Святая Святых, чтобы очистить Исроил, по всем повелениям Мусо, раба Всевышнего.
50Вот потомки Хоруна:

Поселения левитов

54Вот места их поселений, выделенные им в надел (они достались потомкам Хоруна из клана Каафа, потому что им выпал первый жребий). 55Им отдали Хеврон, что в Иудее, с его окрестными пастбищами, 56но поля и поселения вокруг города были отданы Халеву, сыну Иефоннии.
57Итак, потомкам Хоруна отдали Хеврон (город-убежище), Ливну, Иаттир, Эштемоа, 58Холон, Девир, 59Айн6:59 Букв.: «Ашан»; в Иеш. 21:16 он назван Айном., Ютту и Бет-Шемеш с их пастбищами. 60От рода Вениамина они получили Гаваон, Геву, Алемет и Анатот с их пастбищами. Городов, розданных каафитским кланам, было всего тринадцать.
61Остальные потомки Каафа по жребию получили десять городов от половины рода Манассы.
62Потомки Гершона – по своим кланам – получили тринадцать городов от родов Иссокора, Ошера, Неффалима и от той части рода Манассы, что в Бошоне.
63Потомки Мерари – по своим кланам – по жребию получили двенадцать городов от родов Рувима, Гада и Завулона.
64Так исроильтяне отдали эти города с их пастбищами левитам. 65От родов Иуды, Шимона и Вениамина левиты получили по жребию те города, которые уже упомянуты.
66Некоторые из каафитских кланов получили в надел города от рода Ефраима.
67Они получили Шахем (город-убежище) в нагорьях Ефраима, Гезер, 68Иокмеам, Бет-Хорон, 69Аялон и Гат-Риммон с их пастбищами.
70А из надела половины рода Манассы исроильтяне дали Анер и Валаам с их пастбищами остальным каафитским кланам.
71Гершонитам дали
от половины рода Манассы: Голан, что в Бошоне, и Аштарот с их пастбищами;
72от рода Иссокора: Кедеш, Даверат, 73Рамот и Анем с их пастбищами;
74от рода Ошера: Машал, Авдон, 75Хукок и Рехов с их пастбищами;
76от рода Неффалима: Кедеш, что в Галилее, Хаммон и Кириатаим с их пастбищами.
77Остальным мераритам дали
от рода Завулона: Риммоно и Фавор с их пастбищами;
78от рода Рувима – за Иорданом, к востоку от Иерихона: Бецер, что в пустыне, Иахац, 79Кедемот и Мефаат с их пастбищами;
80от рода Гада: Рамот, что в Галааде, Маханаим, 81Хешбон и Иазер с их пастбищами.

49¶ But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded. 50And these are the sons of Aaron; Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son, 51Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son, 52Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son, 53Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.
54¶ Now these are their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot. 55And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it. 56But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh. 57And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs, 58And Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs,6.58 Hilen: or, Holon 59And Ashan with her suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with her suburbs:6.59 Ashan: or, Ain 60And out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs, and Alemeth with her suburbs, and Anathoth with her suburbs.
