1Так говорит Вечный:
– Моав грех добавляет ко греху –
не отвращу от него Мой гнев.
За то, что он пережёг в известь
кости царя Эдома,
2Я пошлю огонь на Моав,
и он пожрёт крепости Кериота2:2 Или: «крепости его городов»..
И погибнет Моав среди смуты,
среди криков боевых,
при звуке рога.
3Я правителя его погублю,
а с ним убью и его приближённых, –
говорит Вечный.
4Так говорит Вечный:
– Иудея грех добавляет ко греху –
не отвращу от неё Мой гнев.
За то, что они отвергли Закон Вечного
и установлений Его не сохранили,
что лжебоги, за которыми ходили их предки,
сбили их с пути –
5Я пошлю огонь на Иудею,
и он пожрёт крепости Иерусалима.
Суд над Исроилом
6Так говорит Вечный:
– Исроил грех добавляет ко греху –
Я не отвращу от него Мой гнев.
Они продают праведного за серебро
и нищего – за пару сандалий.
7Они попирают головы бедных,
как земную пыль,
и отталкивают кротких.
Отец и сын спят с одной и той же девицей,
оскверняя Моё святое имя.
8На одежде, взятой в залог2:8 По Закону одежда, взятая в залог, должна была быть возвращена её владельцу к ночи (см. Исх. 22:26-27).,
они возлежат у каждого жертвенника.
Они пьют вино, взятое с обвинённых,
в доме их бога.
9А Я погубил перед ними аморреев2:9 Аммореи, как наиболее сильный из всех народов, которые были изгнаны перед исроильтянами при завоевании Ханона, символизируют тут всех их (см. Чис. 21:21-31).,
хотя они были высоки, как кедр,
и крепки, как дуб.
Я погубил плод их вверху
и корни их внизу.
10И Я вывел вас из Египта
и водил вас сорок лет по пустыне,
чтобы дать вам землю аморреев.
11Ещё Я воздвигал пророков из ваших сыновей
и назореев2:11 Назореи – исроильтяне, которые целиком посвящали себя Всевышнему, принеся клятву не пить хмельных напитков, не стричь волос и не прикасаться к мёртвому телу (см. Чис. 6:1-21). из ваших юношей.
Разве это не так, народ Исроила? –
возвещает Вечный. –
12Но вы заставляли назореев пить вино
и приказывали пророкам не пророчествовать.
13И вот Я раздавлю вас,
как давит повозка, нагруженная снопами.
14Быстрый не ускользнёт,
сильный не соберётся с силами,
и воин не спасёт свою жизнь.
15Лучник не устоит,
быстроногий воин не скроется,
и всадник не спасёт свою жизнь.
16Даже храбрейшие воины
убегут нагими в тот день, –
возвещает Вечный.
1Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime: 2But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet: 3And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD.
4¶ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked: 5But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
6¶ Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes; 7That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:2.7 maid: or, young woman 8And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.2.8 the condemned: or, such as have fined, or, mulcted
9¶ Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath. 10Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite. 11And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites.
