1Немного позже Иса пошёл на иудейский праздник в Иерусалим. 2В Иерусалиме, недалеко от Овечьих ворот, есть пруд, называемый на арамейском языке Вифезда, окружённый пятью крытыми колоннадами. 3-4Там лежало много инвалидов: слепых, хромых и парализованных5:3-4 В некоторых рукописях присутствуют слова: «Они ожидали движения воды.4 Иногда ангел от Вечного сходил и возмущал воду, и тогда первый, кто входил в пруд, исцелялся от любой болезни».. 5Среди них был человек, больной уже тридцать восемь лет. 6Когда Иса увидел его лежащим там и узнал, что тот уже давно в таком состоянии, Он спросил его:
– Ты хочешь выздороветь?
7Больной ответил:
– Господин, да ведь нет никого, кто бы помог мне войти в воду, когда она бурлит. А когда я стараюсь сам дойти до воды, кто-нибудь меня уже опережает.
8Тогда Иса сказал ему:
– Встань! Возьми свою постель и иди.
9И этот человек в тот же миг стал здоров. Он взял свою постель и пошёл.
Это произошло в субботу5:9 Суббота – седьмой день недели у иудеев, который был религиозным днём отдыха. См. пояснительный словарь.. 10Предводители иудеев поэтому сказали исцелённому:
– Сегодня суббота, и тебе нельзя нести постель.
11Но он ответил:
– Тот, Кто исцелил меня, Тот и сказал мне: «Возьми свою постель и иди».
12Они спросили:
– Кто Он такой, Тот, Кто сказал тебе взять постель и идти?
13Исцелённый и сам не знал, кто Это был, потому что Иса скрылся в толпе, которая была там. 14Позже Иса нашёл его в храме и сказал:
– Ну вот ты и здоров. Не греши больше, чтобы не случилось с тобой ещё худшего.
15Человек этот тогда пошёл и сказал предводителям иудеев, что его исцелил Иса.
Вечная жизнь через Сына
16Предводители иудеев стали преследовать Ису, потому что Он делал такие дела в субботу. 17Иса же сказал им:
– Мой Отец совершает работу всегда, и Я тоже это делаю.
18Тогда предводители иудеев ещё более усердно стали искать возможности убить Ису, ведь Он не только нарушал закон о субботе, но к тому же называл Всевышнего Своим Отцом, тем самым приравнивая Себя к Всевышнему.
19На это Иса ответил им так:
– Говорю вам истину: Сын ничего не может делать Сам от Себя, пока не увидит Отца делающим. То, что делает Отец, делает и Сын. 20Ведь Отец любит Сына и показывает Ему всё, что делает Сам, и вы удивитесь, потому что Он покажет Ему более великие дела. 21Точно так, как Отец воскрешает мёртвых и даёт им жизнь, так и Сын даёт жизнь тем, кому хочет. 22Более того, Отец никого не судит, Он доверил весь суд Сыну, 23чтобы все почитали Сына, как чтят Отца. Тот, кто не чтит Сына, не чтит и Отца, пославшего Сына.
24Говорю вам истину: всякий, кто слышит Моё слово и верит Пославшему Меня, имеет жизнь вечную, и ему не придётся приходить на Суд, он уже перешёл из смерти в жизнь. 25Говорю вам истину, наступает время, и уже наступило, когда мёртвые услышат голос (вечного) Сына Всевышнего, и те, кто услышит, оживут. 26Потому что, как Отец имеет жизнь в Самом Себе, так Он дал иметь жизнь в Самом Себе и Сыну. 27Он дал Ему власть судить, потому что Он – Ниспосланный как Человек.
28Не удивляйтесь этому, потому что настанет время, когда все, кто находится сейчас в могилах, услышат Его голос 29и выйдут из могил. Те, кто делал добро, воскреснут, чтобы жить, а те, кто делал зло, поднимутся, чтобы получить осуждение. 30Я не могу ничего делать Сам от Себя. Я сужу так, как Мне сказано, и Мой суд справедлив, потому что Я стремлюсь исполнить не Свою волю, а волю Пославшего Меня.
Иса Масих подтверждает истинность Своих слов
31– Если бы Я свидетельствовал Сам о Себе, то свидетельство Моё было бы недействительно5:31 По законам Таурата требовалось свидетельство двух или трёх человек (см. Втор. 19:15). Здесь мы видим пять свидетельств об Исе: Яхия (ст. 33), дела Исы (ст. 36), Отец Небесный (ст. 37), Священное Писание (ст. 39) и пророк Муса (ст. 46)., 32но обо Мне свидетельствует ещё один свидетель, и Я знаю, что Его свидетельство обо Мне истинно. 33Вы посылали к Яхии, и он свидетельствовал об истине. 34Я не нуждаюсь в свидетельстве людей, но говорю об этом, чтобы вы были спасены. 35Яхия был горящим и сияющим светильником, и вы хотели хоть некоторое время порадоваться при его свете.
36Но у Меня есть свидетельство сильнее свидетельства Яхии. Дела, которые Отец поручил Мне совершить и которые Я совершаю, свидетельствуют о том, что Отец послал Меня. 37Обо Мне свидетельствует и Сам Отец, пославший Меня. Вы никогда не слышали Его голоса и не видели Его облика. 38Его слово не живёт в вас, потому что вы не верите Мне – Тому, Кого Он послал. 39Вы старательно исследуете Писание, надеясь через него получить жизнь вечную. А ведь это Писание свидетельствует обо Мне! 40Однако вы отказываетесь прийти ко Мне, чтобы получить жизнь.
41Мне не нужна слава от людей, 42но Я знаю вас: в ваших сердцах нет любви к Всевышнему. 43Я пришёл во имя Моего Отца, и вы Меня не принимаете, но когда кто-либо другой придёт во имя самого себя – его вы примете. 44Как вы можете поверить, когда вы ищете похвалы друг от друга, но не прилагаете никаких усилий, чтобы получить похвалу от единого Бога? 45Не думайте, однако, что Я буду обвинять вас перед Отцом. Ваш обвинитель – Муса, на которого вы возлагаете ваши надежды. 46Если бы вы верили Мусе, то верили бы и Мне, потому что Муса писал обо Мне5:46 Во всех частях Таурата Муса пророчески писал о Масихе. См., напр., Нач. 49:10; Исх. 12:21; Лев. 17:11; Чис. 24:17; Втор. 18:15.. 47Но если вы не верите тому, что он написал, то как вы можете поверить тому, что Я говорю?
1After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. 3In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 4For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. 5And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 9And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
10¶ The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed. 11He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk. 12Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? 13And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. 14Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. 15The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole. 16And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
17¶ But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. 18Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. 19Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. 20For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. 21For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. 22For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. 24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. 25Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. 26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; 27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. 28Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. 30I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. 31If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
32¶ There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true. 33Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. 34But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved. 35He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
36¶ But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. 37And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. 38And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
39¶ Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. 41I receive not honour from men. 42But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. 43I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 44How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? 45Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 46For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
