Les sabbats et les nouvelles lunes
1Voici ce que déclare le Seigneur, l’Eternel : La porte orientale du parvis intérieur restera fermée les six jours de travail. Mais le sabbat et le jour de la nouvelle lune, elle sera ouverte. 2Le prince, venant de l’extérieur, entrera par le portique de la porte46.2 Rituellement purifiée (45.19). De là, le prince pouvait suivre les sacrifices offerts sur le grand autel du parvis intérieur, mais il ne lui était pas permis de pénétrer dans ce parvis. et se tiendra près du montant de la porte. Les prêtres offriront son holocauste et ses sacrifices de communion. Il se prosternera sur le seuil de la porte, puis se retirera, et la porte ne sera plus refermée avant le soir. 3Les gens du peuple se prosterneront devant l’Eternel à l’entrée de cette porte, les jours de sabbat et lors des nouvelles lunes.
4Le sabbat, le prince offrira à l’Eternel en holocauste six agneaux sans défaut et un bélier sans défaut. 5Il présentera comme offrande quinze kilogrammes de grains avec le bélier, et ce qu’il voudra donner comme offrande accompagnant les agneaux. L’offrande d’huile sera de trois litres et demi par quinze kilogrammes de grains46.5 Littéralement : un épha de grains avec le bélier… un hîn d’huile par épha de grains.. 6Le jour de la nouvelle lune, il offrira un jeune taureau sans défaut, six agneaux et un bélier sans défaut. 7Il joindra comme offrande quinze kilogrammes de grains pour le taureau et autant pour le bélier et, pour les agneaux, ce qu’il aura à disposition, plus trois litres et demi d’huile par quinze kilogrammes de grains46.7 Littéralement : un épha de grains pour le taureau et un épha pour le bélier… plus un hîn d’huile par épha de grains..
Les règles pour le prince
8Quand le prince viendra, il entrera par le portique de la porte et sortira par le même chemin. 9Et quand les gens du peuple viendront devant l’Eternel lors des fêtes cultuelles, ceux qui entreront par la porte nord pour se prosterner, sortiront par la porte sud, et ceux qui entreront par la porte sud, sortiront par la porte nord. On ne repassera pas la porte par laquelle on sera entré, on sortira par la porte opposée. 10Le prince sera au milieu de son peuple, entrant et sortant en même temps qu’eux.
11Lors des fêtes et des solennités, l’offrande sera de quinze kilogrammes de grains par taureau et par bélier, et, pour les agneaux, ce qu’il voudra donner ; avec chaque mesure de quinze kilogrammes de grains, on offrira trois litres et demi d’huile46.11 Littéralement : un épha par taureau et par bélier… avec chaque épha de grains, on offrira un hîn d’huile..
12Quand le prince offrira à l’Eternel un holocauste ou un sacrifice de communion en offrande volontaire, on lui ouvrira la porte orientale, et il offrira son holocauste et son sacrifice de communion comme il le fait le jour du sabbat. Puis il sortira, et on refermera la porte derrière lui.
13On offrira chaque jour en holocauste à l’Eternel un agneau d’un an sans défaut. On l’offrira chaque matin. 14On y ajoutera chaque matin comme offrande deux kilogrammes et demi de fine farine que l’on pétrira avec un bon litre d’huile46.14 Littéralement : un sixième d’épha de fine farine et le tiers d’un hîn d’huile pour la mouiller.. C’est une offrande pour l’Eternel. Ce sont les lois fixées pour toujours pour le sacrifice perpétuel. 15On offrira chaque matin l’agneau, l’offrande et l’huile, c’est l’holocauste perpétuel.
Les droits du prince sur son patrimoine
16Voici ce que déclare le Seigneur, l’Eternel : Quand le prince fera une donation à l’un de ses fils, elle appartiendra à ce fils et passera comme patrimoine héréditaire à ses enfants. 17Mais lorsqu’il fera à l’un de ses serviteurs un don pris sur son patrimoine, ce don appartiendra au serviteur jusqu’à l’année de la libération46.17 Voir Lv 25.8-55. puis il reviendra au prince. Ainsi son patrimoine restera la propriété de ses fils. 18Le prince ne prendra rien sur le patrimoine du peuple en le dépouillant de ses propriétés ; c’est seulement de son propre domaine qu’il donnera des parts à ses fils, afin que personne de mon peuple ne soit dispersé loin de sa propriété46.18 Comme ce fut le cas pour Achab qui déposséda Naboth de sa vigne (1 R 21.3-16)..
Les cuisines du Temple
19Après cela, le personnage me fit pénétrer, par l’entrée qui est à côté de la porte nord, dans les salles saintes réservées aux prêtres. Tout au fond, du côté ouest, il y avait un emplacement 20et le personnage me dit que les prêtres y feraient cuire la viande des sacrifices de culpabilité et des sacrifices pour le péché, ainsi que les offrandes, afin de ne pas emporter ces aliments sur le parvis extérieur où leur contact pourrait rendre saints des membres du peuple.
21Puis il me fit sortir vers le parvis extérieur et me fit passer auprès des quatre coins du parvis, et je vis que dans chaque angle du parvis, il y avait une courette 22fermée46.22 fermée: terme hébreu de sens incertain., de quarante coudées de long sur trente coudées de large. Les quatre courettes avaient les mêmes dimensions. 23Chacune était entourée d’une enceinte, à la base de laquelle on avait aménagé des fourneaux tout autour. 24L’homme me dit : Voici les cuisines où les serviteurs du Temple feront cuire la viande des sacrifices offerts par le peuple.
1Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened. 2And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening. 3Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the sabbaths and in the new moons. 4And the burnt offering that the prince shall offer unto the LORD in the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish. 5And the meat offering shall be an ephah for a ram, and the meat offering for the lambs as he shall be able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.46.5 as he…: Heb. the gift of his hand 6And in the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish. 7And he shall prepare a meat offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah. 8And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of that gate, and he shall go forth by the way thereof.
9¶ But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it. 10And the prince in the midst of them, when they go in, shall go in; and when they go forth, shall go forth. 11And in the feasts and in the solemnities the meat offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and to the lambs as he is able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah. 12Now when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings voluntarily unto the LORD, one shall then open him the gate that looketh toward the east, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate. 13Thou shalt daily prepare a burnt offering unto the LORD of a lamb of the first year without blemish: thou shalt prepare it every morning.46.13 of the…: Heb. a son of his year46.13 every…: Heb. morning by morning 14And thou shalt prepare a meat offering for it every morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of an hin of oil, to temper with the fine flour; a meat offering continually by a perpetual ordinance unto the LORD. 15Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the meat offering, and the oil, every morning for a continual burnt offering.
16¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; If the prince give a gift unto any of his sons, the inheritance thereof shall be his sons’; it shall be their possession by inheritance. 17But if he give a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his to the year of liberty; after it shall return to the prince: but his inheritance shall be his sons’ for them. 18Moreover the prince shall not take of the people’s inheritance by oppression, to thrust them out of their possession; but he shall give his sons inheritance out of his own possession: that my people be not scattered every man from his possession.
19¶ After he brought me through the entry, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which looked toward the north: and, behold, there was a place on the two sides westward. 20Then said he unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the meat offering; that they bear them not out into the utter court, to sanctify the people. 21Then he brought me forth into the utter court, and caused me to pass by the four corners of the court; and, behold, in every corner of the court there was a court.46.21 in every…: Heb. a court in a corner of a court, and a court in a corner of a court 22In the four corners of the court there were courts joined of forty cubits long and thirty broad: these four corners were of one measure.46.22 joined: or, made with chimneys46.22 corners were…: Heb. cornered, etc 23And there was a row of building round about in them, round about them four, and it was made with boiling places under the rows round about. 24Then said he unto me, These are the places of them that boil, where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifice of the people.
