Salmo 5959:0 Salmo 59 Ang ulohan sa Hebreo: Ang awit alang sa maestro sa mga mag-aawit. Awita kini sa tono sa awit nga “Ayaw Laglaga.” Ang awit ni David human magpadala si Saulo ug mga tawo nga mobantay sa balay ni David aron patyon siya.
Ang Pag-ampo Batok sa mga Daotan
1O Dios, luwasa ako gikan sa akong mga kaaway;
panalipdi ako sa mga nakigbatok kanako.
2Luwasa ako gikan sa mga tawong daotan ug sa mga mamumuno.
3Ginoo, tan-awa! Nagaatang sila aron sa pagpatay kanako bisan wala ako makasala kanila.
4-5Wala akoy nahimong sala, apan andam sila sa pag-ataki kanako.
Sige na, Ginoong Dios nga Makagagahom, Dios sa Israel,
siloti ang mga katawhan nga wala motuo kanimo.
Ayaw kaloy-i ang mga maluibon.
6Mamalik sila inigkagabii nga daw sa mga iro nga magngulob nga maglibot-libot sa siyudad.
7Pamatia ang ilang gipanulti;
mga masakit nga mga pulong ang nagagawas sa ilang baba, sama kini kasakit sa igo sa espada.
Nagaingon pa sila, “Walay makadungog kanato.”
8Apan ikaw, Ginoo, kataw-an mo sila nga wala motuo kanimo.
Biay-biayon mo silang tanan.
9O Dios, ikaw ang akong kusog;
magahulat ako kanimo kay ikaw ang akong dalangpanan.
10Ikaw ang Dios nga nagahigugma kanako. Mag-una ka kanako ug ipakita mo ang kapildihan sa akong mga kaaway.
11Apan ayaw sila patya diha-diha
kay basin ug malimtan sa akong mga katawhan kon giunsa mo pagsilot ang imong mga kaaway.
O Ginoo nga among tigpanalipod,
ipahisalaag ug laglaga ang akong mga kaaway pinaagi sa imong gahom.
12Nagpakasala sila pinaagi sa ilang gipanulti.
Hinaut nga malit-agan sila sa ilang pagkamapahitas-on,
kay nagpakadaotan sila ug namakak.
13Sa imong kasuko, laglaga sila hangtod nga mangawala sila sa hingpit.
Unya masayran sa mga tawo nga ikaw, O Dios, nagahari sa Israel ug sa tibuok kalibotan.59:13 tibuok kalibotan: sa literal, kinatumyan sa kalibotan.
14Sa gabii, mamalik ang akong mga kaaway nga daw mga iro nga magngulob nga maglibot-libot sa siyudad.
15Sama sila sa iro nga nagalibot-libot sa pagpangita ug pagkaon, ug magngulob kon dili mabusog.
16Apan mag-awit ako mahitungod sa imong gahom.
Kada buntag magaawit ako nga malipayon sa pagdayeg sa imong gugma.
Tungod kay ikaw ang akong dalangpanan,
ang nagapanalipod kanako sa panahon sa kalisod.
17O Dios, ikaw ang akong kusog;
magaawit ako ug mga pagdayeg kanimo
kay ikaw ang akong dalangpanan, ang Dios nga nagahigugma kanako.

2Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
3For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.
4They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.59.4 help: Heb. meet
5Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.
6They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
7Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?
8But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.
9Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.59.9 defence: Heb. high place
10The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.59.10 enemies: Heb. observers
11Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
12For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
13Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.
14And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
15Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.59.15 for meat: Heb. to eat59.15 and grudge…: or, if they be not satisfied, then they will stay all night
16But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
17Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
