Silotan sa Ginoo ang Edom
Nadungog nato nga mga Israelinhon ang balita gikan sa Ginoo, nga nagpadala siya ug mensahero ngadto sa mga nasod sa pag-aghat kanila sa pakig-gubat batok sa nasod sa Edom. 2Kay miingon ang Ginoo ngadto sa mga taga-Edom, “Paminaw! Himuon ko kamong pinakaubos sa mga nasod, ug tamayon gayod nila kamo. 3Nagaingon kamo nga walay makalaglag kaninyo tungod kay nagapuyo kamo sa batoon ug habog nga pangpang. Apan nianang inyong pagpasigarbo gilimbongan ninyo ang inyong kaugalingon. 4Kay bisan pag sama sa salag sa agila kahabog ang inyong gipuy-an, o ibutang pa ninyo kini taliwala sa mga bitoon,1:4 Kay bisan… mga bitoon: sa literal, Kay bisan pag molupad kamog labihan kataas sama sa agila, o magsalag taliwala sa mga bitoon. laglagon ko gihapon kamo. Ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagaingon niini.
5“Dili ba nga kon mangawat ang mga kawatan sa panahon sa kagabhion, kuhaon ra man nila ang ilang magustohan? Ug dili ba nga ang mga tigpamupo ug ubas magbilin man ug mahagdaw sa uban?1:5 Nabatasan sa mga Israelinhon nga sa panahon sa ting-ani, magbilin sila ug mahagdaw sa mga kabos. Tan-awa ang Lev. 19:10; Deu. 24:21. Posible nga mao usab kini ang batasan sa mga taga-Edom. Apan kamo, hutdon gayod ug laglag sa inyong mga kaaway! 6Pangitaon nila ug kuhaon ang mga bahandi ninyong mga kaliwat ni Esau. 7Limbongan kamo sa inyong kaabin nga mga nasod, ug abugon gikan sa inyong dapit. Sila nga nakig-uban kaninyo sa pagpangaon maoy magbutang ug laang alang kaninyo, ug dili kamo makamatikod niini. 8Ako, ang Ginoo, nagaingon nga sa panahon nga silotan ko na kamo, laglagon ko ang inyong maalamon nga mga tawo, ug wagtangon ko ang mga maalamon sa Bukid ni Esau.1:8 Bukid ni Esau: Ang Edom ginatawag usahay ug Esau subay sa ngalan sa katigulangan sa mga lumulupyo niining lugara. 9Mangurog sa kahadlok ang inyong mga sundalo sa lungsod sa Teman, busa mangamatay kamong tanan nga anaa sa Bukid ni Esau.”
Ang Sala sa mga Taga-Edom
10“Tungod sa inyong kabangis ngadto sa mga kaliwat ni Jacob, nga inyong kadugo, maulawan kamo ug laglagon sa hingpit. 11Wala lang kamo magtagad sa dihang gisulong ang Jerusalem sa mga langyaw. Gipasagdan lang ninyo nga kuhaon nila ang mga bahandi sa Jerusalem ug bahin-bahinon pinaagi sa pagripa. Nahisama lang kamo kanila nga mga kaaway sa Israel. 12Wala unta ninyo ikalipay ang katalagman nga nahiagoman sa katawhan sa Juda, nga inyong kadugo. Wala unta kamo magmaya sa panahon sa ilang kalaglagan. Ug wala unta kamo manghambog sa panahon sa ilang kalisod. 13Wala unta kamo mosulod sa siyudad sa akong katawhan sa panahon sa ilang kalaglagan, ug manguha sa ilang bahandi. Ug wala unta kamo maglipay sa panahon sa ilang pag-antos. 14Wala unta kamo mag-atang sa gisang-an sa mga dalan sa pagpamatay sa mga nangikyas gikan sa Jerusalem. Ug wala unta ninyo sila itugyan sa mga kaaway sa panahon sa ilang kalisod.”
Pagasilotan sa Dios ang mga Nasod
15“Wala unta ninyo kadto himoa sa Jerusalem tungod kay hapit na ang adlaw nga hukman ko ang tanang nasod. Ug kon unsa ang inyong gibuhat sa uban, mao usab kana ang pagabuhaton kaninyo. Kon unsa ang inyong pagtagad sa uban, mao usab kana ang ibalos kaninyo. 16Maingon nga gisilotan ang akong mga katawhan1:16 ang akong mga katawhan: sa Hebreo, kamo. didto sa akong balaan nga bukid,1:16 balaan nga bukid: o, Bukid sa Zion. silotan usab ang tanang nasod. Silotan ko gayod sila sa hilabihan hangtod nga mangahanaw sila.”
Magmadaogon ang Israel
17“Apan may makaikyas nga mga Israelinhon ngadto sa Bukid sa Zion, ug mahimo na usab kining balaan nga dapit. Maangkon pag-usab sa mga kaliwat ni Jacob ang mga yuta nga ilang gipanag-iyahan kaniadto. 18Ang mga kaliwat ni Jacob ug Jose1:18 kaliwat ni Jacob ug ni Jose: Si Jacob nagarepresentar sa katawhan sa Juda, ug si Jose nagarepresentar sa katawhan sa Israel. mahisama sa kalayo. Maingon nga lamyon sa kalayo ang dagami, laglagon usab sa hingpit sa kaliwat ni Jacob ug ni Jose ang kaliwat ni Esau ug wala gayoy mahibilin niini. Mahitabo gayod kini, kay ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagaingon niini.
19“Sakopon sa mga Israelinhon nga taga-Negev1:19 Negev: Ang habagatan sa Juda. ang Bukid ni Esau, ug sakopon sa mga Israelinhon nga nagapuyo sa kabungtoran sa kasadpan1:19 kabungtoran sa kasadpan: sa Hebreo, Shefela. ang yuta sa mga Filistihanon. Sakopon sa mga Israelinhon ang yuta sa Efraim ug Samaria. Ug sakopon sa tribo ni Benjamin ang Gilead. 20Sakopon sa daghang mga Israelinhon nga gikan sa pagkabihag ang yuta sa mga Canaanhon hangtod sa Zarefat, ug sakopon sa mga taga-Jerusalem nga gikan sa pagkabihag sa Sepharad ang mga lungsod sa Negev. 21Motungas ang mga tigpanalipod sa Israel sa Bukid sa Zion, sa pagdumala sa mga katawhan sa Bukid ni Esau. Ug ako, ang Ginoo, mao ang magahari.”
1The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle. 2Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.
