Higugmaa ang Ginoo nga inyong Dios
1“Mao kini ang mga sugo, mga tulumanon, ug mga lagda nga gihatag sa Ginoo nga inyong Dios kanako nga itudlo kaninyo. Tumana ninyo kini didto sa yuta nga inyong panag-iyahon didto sa tabok sa Jordan, 2aron kamo ug ang inyong mga kabataan ug mga kaapohan motahod sa Ginoo nga inyong Dios samtang nagakinabuhi kamo. Kon tumanon ninyo ang tanan niyang mga pamalaod ug mga sugo nga gihatag ko kaninyo, magakinabuhi kamog dugay. 3Pamati kamo, O katawhan sa Israel, ug tumana ninyo pag-ayo ang iyang mga sugo aron mahimong maayo ang inyong kahimtang, ug aron modaghan gayod kamo didto sa maayo ug mabungahon nga yuta,6:3 maayo… yuta: sa Hebreo, yuta nga nagaagas ang gatas ug dugos. sumala sa gisaad kaninyo sa Ginoo, ang Dios sa inyong mga katigulangan.
4“Pamati kamo, O katawhan sa Israel: Ang Ginoo nga atong Dios mao lang ang Ginoo.6:4 Ang Ginoo nga atong Dios mao lang ang Ginoo: o, Ang Ginoo nga atong Dios, usa lang nga Ginoo; o, Ang Ginoo mao ang atong Dios, ang Ginoo usa lang. 5Higugmaa ang Ginoo nga inyong Dios sa tibuok ninyong kasingkasing, sa tibuok ninyong kalag, ug sa tibuok ninyong kusog. 6Ayaw gayod ninyo kalimti kining mga sugo nga gihatag ko kaninyo karong adlawa. 7Itudlo kini kanunay sa inyong mga kabataan. Hisgoti ninyo kini kon anaa kamo sa inyong mga balay ug kon nagalakaw kamo o kon nagahigda kamo o kon mobangon kamo. 8Ihigot kini sa inyong mga bukton ug ibutang sa inyong mga agtang aron sa pagpahinumdom kaninyo. 9Isulat ninyo kini sa kilid sa mga pultahan sa inyong mga balay ug sa mga ganghaan sa inyong lungsod.
10“Dad-on na kamo sa Ginoo nga inyong Dios didto sa yuta nga iyang gisaad nga ihatag sa inyong mga katigulangan nga si Abraham, Isaac, ug Jacob. Kining yutaa may dagko ug mauswagong mga lungsod nga dili kamo ang nagtukod. 11May mga balay usab kini nga puno sa maayong mga butang nga dili kamo ang naghago, may mga atabay nga dili kamo ang nagkalot, ug may mga tamnanan sa ubas ug sa mga kahoyng olibo nga dili kamo ang nagtanom. Ug kon makakaon na gani kamo ug mangabusog, 12pagbantay gayod kamo nga dili ninyo malimtan ang Ginoo nga nagpagawas kaninyo gikan sa Ehipto diin kamo giulipon.
13“Tahora ninyo ang Ginoo nga inyong Dios; siya lang ang inyong alagaran ug manumpa kamo sa iya lang nga ngalan. 14Dili kamo magsunod sa laing mga dios, ang mga dios sa mga katawhan sa inyong palibot; 15kay ang Ginoo nga inyong Dios nga nagapuyo uban kaninyo dili buot nga may lain kamong ginasimba. Kon magsimba kamo sa laing dios mahiagom kamo sa kasuko sa Ginoo ug wagtangon niya kamo sa kalibotan. 16Dili ninyo sulayan ang Ginoo nga inyong Dios sama sa inyong gihimo didto sa Masa. 17Tumana gayod ninyo ang mga sugo, mga pagtulon-an, ug mga tulumanon nga gihatag kaninyo sa Ginoo nga inyong Dios. 18Himoa ninyo ang husto ug ang maayo atubangan sa Ginoo aron mahimong maayo ang inyong kahimtang ug mapanag-iyahan ninyo ang maayong yuta nga iyang gisaad sa inyong mga katigulangan. 19Abugon niya sa inyong atubangan ang tanan ninyong mga kaaway sumala sa iyang giingon.
20“Sa umaabot nga panahon, kon mangutana ang inyong mga kabataan, ‘Unsa ang buot ipasabot sa mga pagtulon-an, mga tulumanon, ug mga lagda nga gimando kaninyo sa Ginoo nga atong Dios?’ 21Ingna sila, ‘Mga ulipon kami kaniadto sa hari6:21 hari: sa Hebreo, Faraon. Mao usab sa bersikulo 22. sa Ehipto, apan gipagawas kami sa Ginoo gikan sa Ehipto pinaagi sa iyang gahom. 22Nakita namo mismo ang daghang mga milagro ug katingalahang mga butang nga iyang gihimo sa pagsilot sa mga katawhan sa Ehipto, apil na sa ilang hari ug sa tibuok niini nga panimalay. 23Ug gipagawas niya kami gikan sa Ehipto aron dad-on niining yutaa nga iyang gisaad sa atong mga katigulangan. 24Gimandoan kami sa Ginoo nga tumanon namo kining tanang mga tulumanon ug motahod kaniya nga atong Dios, aron magmauswagon kami kanunay ug magkinabuhi ug dugay sama sa nagakahitabo karon. 25Ug kon tumanon lang nato pag-ayo kining tanang sugo sa Ginoo nga atong Dios, sumala sa iyang gimando kanato, mahimo kitang matarong sa iyang panan-aw.’ ”
1Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:6.1 go: Heb. pass over 2That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
3¶ Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.6.7 teach: Heb. whet, or, sharpen 8And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. 10And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, 11And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; 12Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.6.12 bondage: Heb. bondmen or, servants 13Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name. 14Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you; 15(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
16¶ Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
17Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee. 18And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, 19To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath spoken. 20And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?6.20 in…: Heb. to morrow 21Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand: 22And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:6.22 sore: Heb. evil 23And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. 24And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. 25And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
