Didto sa Iconium
1Ang nahitabo didto sa Iconium pareho usab sa nahitabo didto sa Antioquia. Miadto si Pablo ug si Barnabas sa simbahan sa mga Judio. Ug tungod sa ilang pagwali daghang mga Judio ug mga dili Judio ang mituo kang Jesus. 2Apan ang mga Judio nga wala motuo, misulsol sa mga dili Judio aron kontrahon ang mga magtutuo. 3Nagdugay didto si Pablo ug si Barnabas. Wala sila mahadlok sa pagsulti mahitungod sa Ginoo. Gipakita sa Ginoo nga tinuod ang ilang gitudlo mahitungod sa iyang grasya, tungod kay gihatagan niya sila ug gahom sa paghimo ug mga milagro ug kahibulongang mga butang. 4Busa, nabahin ang mga tawo niadtong siyudara; ang uban midapig sa mga Judio nga wala motuo, ug ang uban midapig sa mga apostoles.
5May mga Judio ug mga dili Judio, kauban ang ilang mga pangulo, nga nagplano nga pasakitan ug batohon ang mga apostoles. 6Pagkahibalo sa mga apostoles sa maong plano, nangikyas sila ngadto sa Listra ug sa Derbe, mga siyudad nga sakop sa Licaonia, ug sa palibot nga mga dapit. 7Ug giwali nila didto ang Maayong Balita.
Gibato si Pablo didto sa Listra
8Sa Listra may usa ka tawong bakol sukad pa sa iyang pagkabata. 9Samtang naglingkod siya naminaw siya sa mga gisulti ni Pablo. Gitutokan siya ni Pablo ug nakita niya nga may pagtuo ang bakol nga ang Ginoo makaayo kaniya. 10Busa sa kusog nga tingog miingon si Pablo kaniya, “Tindog ug tul-id!” Mitindog ang tawo ug milakaw-lakaw. 11Pagkakita sa mga tawo sa gihimo ni Pablo, misinggit sila sa ilang kaugalingong pinulongan, “Ang mga dios nanganaog dinhi kanato sa dagway sa tawo!” 12Gitawag nila si Barnabas nga si Zeus, ug si Pablo gitawag nila nga si Hermes tungod kay siya mao ang tigsulti. 13Ang templo sa ilang dios nga si Zeus duol lamang sa gawas sa siyudad. Busa ang pari ni Zeus nagdala ug torong mga baka nga may kolintas nga bulak didto sa pultahan sa siyudad. Gihatagan niya kamo sa ulan ug mga ani sa panahon sa ting-ani. Abundang pagkaon iyang gihatag kaninyo aron malipay kamo.” 18Apan bisan mao kini ang gisulti sa mga apostoles, naglisod gayod sila sa pagpugong sa mga tawo nga magpatay ug mga baka aron ihalad kanila.
19May miabot nga mga Judio gikan sa Antioquia nga sakop sa Pisidia ug ang uban gikan sa Iconium. Gidani nila ang mga tawo nga modapig kanila. Gitabangan nila sa pagbato si Pablo ug giguyod pagawas sa lungsod, tungod kay sa ilang hunahuna patay na siya. 20Apan samtang gilibotan siya sa mga magtutuo, mibangon siya ug mibalik didto sa lungsod. Pagkaugma miadto silang duha ni Barnabas sa Derbe.
Ang Paghibalik ngadto sa Antioquia nga Sakop sa Syria
21Giwali ni Pablo ug ni Barnabas ang Maayong Balita didto sa Derbe ug daghan ang ilang nakabig nga mosunod kang Jesu-Cristo. Pagkahuman niini mibalik sila sa Listra, sa Iconium, ug sa Antioquia nga sakop sa Pisidia. 22Gipalig-on nila ang mga magtutuo ug gidasig nga magpadayon gayod sa ilang pagtuo. Miingon usab sila sa mga magtutuo, “Daghang kalisdanan ang atong kinahanglan maagian sa pagsulod sa gingharian sa Dios.” 23Sa matag dapit nga may mga magtutuo nga nagatigom, sila si Pablo ug Barnabas nagpili ug mga tawo nga maoy mangulo. Nagpuasa sila ug nagaampo alang sa mga napili ug gitugyan nila sila sa Ginoo nga ilang gituohan.
24Pagkahuman niini, miagi sila sa mga dapit nga sakop sa probinsya sa Pisidia ug miabot sila sa Panfilia. 25Miwali sila didto sa Perga ug unya milugsong sila sa Atalia. 26Gikan didto milawig sila balik sa Antioquia nga sakop sa Syria, ang dapit diin sila maggikan ug giampo sa mga magtutuo kaniadto nga panalanginan sila sa Dios sa ilang buluhaton nga karon nahuman na nila.
27Sa pag-abot ni Pablo ug ni Barnabas sa Antioquia gitigom nila ang tanang mga magtutuo ug gisaysay dayon nila ang tanang gihimo sa Dios pinaagi kanila, ug kon sa unsang pamaagi nga ang Dios mihatag ug kahigayonan aron motuo usab ang mga dili Judio. 28Ug mipuyo silag dugay didto sa Antioquia kauban sa mga sumusunod ni Jesus.
1And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed. 2But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren. 3Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands. 4But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles. 5And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them, 6They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about: 7And there they preached the gospel.
8¶ And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: 9The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. 11And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. 12And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker. 13Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people. 14Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out, 15And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein: 16Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways. 17Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness. 18And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
19¶ And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead. 20Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe. 21And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, 22Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. 23And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed. 24And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia. 25And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia: 26And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled. 27And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles. 28And there they abode long time with the disciples.
