Ang mga Gasa alang sa Pagpatukod sa Templo
1Unya miingon si Haring David sa tibuok katilingban sa Israel, “Ang akong anak nga si Solomon nga gipili sa Dios batan-on pa ug walay kasinatian. Dako ang buluhaton, kay ang pagatukoron nga templo dili alang sa tawo kondili alang sa Ginoong Dios. 2Gihimo ko ang tanan kong mahimo sa pag-andam sa mga materyales alang sa templo sa akong Dios—daghan nga bulawan, plata, bronsi, puthaw, kahoy, mahalong bato nga onix, emerald, mga bato nga nagkalain-lain ang kolor, ug uban pa nga matahom nga mga bato, ug daghan usab nga marmol. 3Ug tungod sa akong dakong tinguha alang sa templo sa akong Dios, ihatag ko ang akong kaugalingong mga bulawan ug plata alang sa pagpatukod niini, walay labot sa mga materyales nga natigom ko na alang sa balaan nga templo. 4Mohatag ako ug 100 ka toneladang bulawan gikan sa Ofir, ug 250 ka toneladang plata. Gamiton kini nga panghaklap sa mga dingding sa templo, 5ug alang sa tanang mga kagamitan nga pagahimuon sa mga panday. Karon, kinsa kaninyo ang gustong mohatag alang sa Ginoo?”
6Unya kinabubut-on nga mihatag ang mga pangulo sa mga pamilya, mga pangulo sa mga tribo sa Israel, mga komander sa linibo ug ginatos ka mga sundalo, ug ang mga opisyal nga gitugyanan sa pagdumala sa mga kabtangan sa hari. 7Mihatag sila alang sa pagpatrabaho sa templo sa Dios ug 175 ka toneladang bulawan, 10,000 ka pilakng bulawan, 350 ka toneladang plata, 630 ka toneladang bronsi, ug 3,500 ka toneladang puthaw. 8Ang adunay mahalong mga bato mihatag usab niini, ug gitipigan kini didto sa bodega sa templo sa Ginoo nga gidumalahan ni Jehiel nga kaliwat ni Gershon. 9Nalipay pag-ayo ang mga tawo kay mihatag sila nga kinabubut-on ug kinasingkasing ngadto sa Ginoo. Nalipay usab kaayo si Haring David.
Ang Pangamuyo ni David
10Gidayeg ni David ang Ginoo atubangan sa tanang katawhan nga nagtigom didto. Miingon siya:
“Ginoo, Dios sa among katigulangan nga si Jacob,29:10 Jacob: sa Hebreo, Israel. Mao usab sa bersikulo 18. dalaygon ka sa walay kataposan. 11Gamhanan ikaw, talahuron, dungganon, halangdon, ug dalaygon. Imo ang tanang mga butang sa langit ug sa yuta. Ikaw ang hari, Ginoo, ug labaw ka sa tanan. 12Ang bahandi ug dungog naggikan kanimo. Ikaw ang nagadumala sa tanang mga butang. Gamhanan ikaw, ug ikaw ang nagabuot sa paghatag ug kusog ug gahom sa tanan.
13“Busa karon, O among Dios, ginapasalamatan namo ug ginadayeg ang imong halangdon nga ngalan. 14Apan kinsa man ako ug ang akong katawhan nga makahimo man kami sa paghatag nga madagayaon sama niini? Ang tanang mga butang nagagikan kanimo, ug gibalik lang namo kanimo ang imong gihatag kanamo. 15Nasayod ikaw nga lumalabay lang kami dinhi sa kalibotan sama sa among mga katigulangan. Ang among kinabuhi dinhi sa kalibotan sama lang sa landong nga lumalabay lamang.
16“Ginoo nga among Dios, bisan kining tanang gihatag namo alang sa pagpatukod sa templo alang sa kadungganan sa imong balaan nga ngalan naggikan kanimo. Imo kining tanan! 17Dios ko, nahibalo ako nga ginasusi mo ang among kasingkasing ug malipay ka kon makita mo nga matarong kini. Nasayod ka nga matinud-anon ako ug maayo ang akong tuyo sa paghatag niining mga butanga. Ug nakita ko nga malipayon ug kinasingkasing usab nga nanghatag ang imong katawhan diha kanimo.
18“Ginoo, Dios sa among mga katigulangan nga si Abraham, Isaac, ug Jacob, hinaut nga ibutang mo kanunay kini nga tinguha sa kasingkasing sa imong katawhan, ug tabangi sila nga magmatinumanon kanimo. 19Tabangi usab ang akong anak nga si Solomon nga magmatinud-anon gayod sa pagtuman sa imong mga sugo, mga pagtulon-an, ug mga tulumanon, ug sa pagpatukod sa templo nga akong gipangandaman.”
20Unya miingon si David sa tibuok katilingban, “Dayega ninyo ang Ginoo nga inyong Dios.” Busa gidayeg nila ang Ginoo, ang Dios sa ilang mga katigulangan. Nangluhod sila ug miyukbo sa pagpasidungog sa Ginoo ug sa hari.
Giila si Solomon Ingon nga Hari
21Pagkasunod nga adlaw naghalad sila sa Ginoo ug mga halad nga sinunog: 1,000 ka torong baka, 1,000 ka laking karnero, ug 1,000 ka toriyong karnero. Naghalad usab sila ug mga halad nga ilimnon ug daghan pang halad alang sa tibuok Israel. 22Nangaon sila ug nanginom nga malipayon sa presensya sa Ginoo niadtong adlawa.
Ug sa ikaduhang higayon gihimo nilang hari si Solomon nga anak ni David. Gidihogan si Solomon ug lana sa presensya sa Ginoo ingon nga hari, ug gidihogan usab si Zadok ingon nga pari. 23Busa milingkod si Solomon sa trono sa Ginoo ingon nga hari puli sa iyang amahan nga si David. Nagmauswagon si Solomon, ug mituman kaniya ang tibuok Israel. 24Nanumpa ang tanan nga opisyal, ang bantogan nga mga tawo, ug ang tanang anak nga lalaki ni Haring David nga magpasakop sila kang Haring Solomon. 25Gihimo sa Ginoo si Solomon nga bantogan sa tibuok Israel. Gihatagan niya kini ug kadungganan nga wala sukad maangkon sa ubang mga hari sa Israel.
Ang Pagkamatay ni David
26-27Naghari si David nga anak ni Jesse sa tibuok Israel sulod sa 40 ka tuig—7 ka tuig sa Hebron ug 33 ka tuig sa Jerusalem. 28Nagkinabuhi siya nga malipayon, adunahan, ug dungganon sulod sa taas nga panahon. Namatay siya nga tigulang na kaayo, ug gipulihan siya sa iyang anak nga si Solomon. 29Ang sugilanon mahitungod sa paghari ni Haring David, gikan sa sinugdan hangtod sa kataposan, nahisulat sa mga libro sa mga propeta nga sila si Samuel, Natan, ug Gad. 30Nahisulat didto ang mga kasaysayan bahin sa iyang pagkabantogan ug sa iyang paghari, ug ang tanan nga nahitabo kaniya, sa Israel, ug sa palibot nga mga gingharian.
1Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God. 2Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance. 3Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, 4Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal: 5The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?29.5 consecrate his service: Heb. fill his hand
6¶ Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king’s work, offered willingly, 7And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron. 8And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite. 9Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
10¶ Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever. 11Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. 12Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. 13Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. 14But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.29.14 be able: Heb. retain, or, obtain strength29.14 of thine…: Heb. of thine hand 15For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.29.15 abiding: Heb. expectation 16O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own. 17I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.29.17 present: Heb. found 18O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:29.18 prepare: or, stablish 19And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.
20¶ And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king. 21And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel: 22And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.
23Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him. 24And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.29.24 submitted…: Heb. gave the hand under Solomon 25And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
26¶ Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 27And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem. 28And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead. 29Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,29.29 book: or, history: Heb. words 30With all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.
