Eastern Punjabi Bible Translation: Will you help translate the Bible for millions still waiting in India?
Biblica is one of the Bible translation partners in the illumiNations 12 Verse Challenge. Help us reach even more people with God’s Word through this special giving opportunity!
in India are still waiting for God’s Word.
In your personal walk with God, you know how important it is to have a translation of the Bible that’s clear and easy to understand.
Language evolves over time! If you’ve ever tried reading Shakespeare, you know that the English language isn’t quite what it used to be. Thankfully, you and I don’t have to use an English Bible from 1395 or 1611 at church or during our quiet time.
The same can’t be said for the 52 million people who speak the language of Eastern Punjabi in India and surrounding countries. The only Bible translations that exist in their heart language are old … formal … scholarly … outdated.
Sadly, Eastern Punjabi speakers do not possess a Bible that is easily understood by all people.
And the problems don’t stop there for Eastern Punjabi believers. Just 1.2 percent of the population in Punjab, India follow Jesus. The Christian church is often persecuted by followers of Islam and Hinduism. What will our fellow believers in this part of the world do without an understandable translation of God’s Word?
You can help share the good news today!
As a 12 Verse Challenge participant, you’re already a part of the mission to bring God’s life-changing Gospel to everyone on the planet.
Biblica is one of the Bible translation partners in the illumiNations 12 Verse Challenge. Your monthly support through the 12 Verse Challenge makes it possible for ministries like ours to translate God’s Word into every language by 2033.
Today we’re asking you to make a special gift to bring God’s Word to life for people who speak Eastern Punjabi.
Our brave team of Bible translators recently completed translating the New Testament into Eastern Punjabi. They’re hard at work translating the Old Testament and prepping Gospel booklets for outreach. But they need our help to finish the task!
Based on average translation costs, it takes just 10 people giving $100 to deliver a whole new chapter of God’s Word to a waiting people group like Eastern Punjabi. We’re seeking to raise $20,000 for the Eastern Punjabi Bible translation project through this urgent campaign.
Every dollar you give will help us reach the goal.
Will you come alongside our brothers and sisters who are laboring to complete the Eastern Punjabi Bible? They—and their people—will be eternally grateful.
With your help, every Punjabi-speaking person will be able to understand God’s Word, regardless of education level, religious training, or caste. Your investment into the Eastern Punjabi translation will position this project on the path to success for a region in desperate need of the hope of the Gospel.
Let’s do our part and share God’s Word where needed most!
