Salmo 32
Davídico. Poema.
1Como é feliz aquele
que tem suas transgressões perdoadas
e seus pecados apagados!
2Como é feliz aquele
a quem o Senhor não atribui culpa
e em quem não há hipocrisia!
3Enquanto eu mantinha escondidos os meus pecados,
o meu corpo definhava de tanto gemer.
4Pois dia e noite
a tua mão pesava sobre mim;
minhas forças foram-se esgotando
como em tempo de seca. Pausa
5Então reconheci diante de ti o meu pecado
e não encobri as minhas culpas.
Eu disse: “Confessarei as minhas transgressões”, ao Senhor,
e tu perdoaste a culpa do meu pecado. Pausa
6Portanto, que todos os que são fiéis orem a ti
enquanto podes ser encontrado;
quando as muitas águas se levantarem,
elas não os atingirão.
7Tu és o meu abrigo;
tu me preservarás das angústias
e me cercarás de canções de livramento. Pausa
8Eu o instruirei e o ensinarei no caminho que você deve seguir;
eu o aconselharei e cuidarei de você.
9Não sejam como o cavalo ou o burro,
que não têm entendimento
mas precisam ser controlados com freios e rédeas;
caso contrário não obedecem.
10Muitas são as dores dos ímpios,
mas a bondade do Senhor
protege quem nele confia.
11Alegrem-se no Senhor e exultem,
vocês que são justos!
Cantem de alegria,
todos vocês que são retos de coração!
Psalm 32
A maskil of David.
1Blessed is the person whose lawless acts are forgiven.
Their sins have been taken away.
2Blessed is the person whose sin the Lord never counts against them.
That person doesn’t want to cheat anyone.
3When I kept silent about my sin,
my body became weak
because I groaned all day long.
4Day and night
you punished me.
I became weaker and weaker
as I do in the heat of summer.
5Then I admitted my sin to you.
I didn’t cover up the wrong I had done.
I said, “I will admit my lawless acts to the Lord.”
And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
6Let everyone who is faithful pray to you
while they can still look to you.
When troubles come like a flood,
they certainly won’t reach those who are faithful.
7You are my hiding place.
You will keep me safe from trouble.
You will surround me with songs sung by those who praise you
because you save your people.
8I will guide you and teach you the way you should go.
I will give you good advice and watch over you with love.
9Don’t be like a horse or a mule.
They can’t understand anything.
They have to be controlled by bits and bridles.
If they aren’t, they won’t come to you.
10Sinful people have all kinds of trouble.
But the Lord’s faithful love
is all around those who trust in him.
11Be glad because of what the Lord has done for you.
Be joyful, you who do what is right!
Sing, all you whose hearts are honest!
