1My heart is stirred by a noble theme
as I recite my verses for the king;
my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.
2You are the most excellent of men
and your lips have been anointed with grace,
since God has blessed you forever.
3Gird your sword on your side, you mighty one;
clothe yourself with splendor and majesty.
4In your majesty ride forth victoriously
in the cause of truth, humility and justice;
let your right hand achieve awesome deeds.
5Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king’s enemies;
let the nations fall beneath your feet.
6Your throne, O God,45:6 Here the king is addressed as God’s representative. will last for ever and ever;
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
7You love righteousness and hate wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy.
8All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia;
from palaces adorned with ivory
the music of the strings makes you glad.
9Daughters of kings are among your honored women;
at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir.
10Listen, daughter, and pay careful attention:
Forget your people and your father’s house.
11Let the king be enthralled by your beauty;
honor him, for he is your lord.
12The city of Tyre will come with a gift,45:12 Or A Tyrian robe is among the gifts
people of wealth will seek your favor.
13All glorious is the princess within her chamber;
her gown is interwoven with gold.
14In embroidered garments she is led to the king;
her virgin companions follow her—
those brought to be with her.
15Led in with joy and gladness,
they enter the palace of the king.
16Your sons will take the place of your fathers;
you will make them princes throughout the land.
17I will perpetuate your memory through all generations;
therefore the nations will praise you for ever and ever.

1De mi corazón brota un hermoso poema
mientras recito mis versos ante el rey;
mi lengua es como pluma de hábil escritor.
2Tú eres el más apuesto de los hombres;
tus labios son fuente de hermosas palabras,
ya que Dios te ha bendecido para siempre.
3¡Con esplendor y majestad,
cíñete la espada, oh valiente!
4Con majestad, cabalga victorioso
en nombre de la verdad, la humildad y la justicia;
que tu diestra realice maravillas asombrosas.
5Que tus afiladas flechas atraviesen el corazón de los enemigos del rey
y que caigan las naciones a tus pies.
6Tu trono, oh Dios, permanece para siempre;
el cetro de tu reino es cetro de justicia.
7Tú amas la justicia y odias la maldad;
por eso Dios, tu Dios, te ungió con aceite de alegría,
te prefirió a ti por encima de tus compañeros.
8Aroma de mirra, áloe y canela exhalan todas tus vestiduras;
desde los palacios adornados con marfil
te alegra la música de cuerdas.
9Entre tus damas de honor se cuentan princesas;
a tu derecha se halla la novia real luciendo el oro de Ofir.
10Escucha, hija, fíjate bien y presta atención:
Olvídate de tu pueblo y de tu familia.
11El rey está cautivado por tu hermosura;
él es tu señor: póstrate ante él.
12La gente de Tiro vendrá con presentes;
los ricos del pueblo buscarán tu favor.
13La princesa es todo esplendor,
luciendo en su alcoba brocados de oro.
14Vestida de finos bordados
es conducida ante el rey,
seguida por sus compañeras doncellas.
15Con alegría y regocijo son conducidas
al interior del palacio real.
16Tus hijos ocuparán el trono de tus ancestros;
los pondrás por príncipes en toda la tierra.
17Haré que tu nombre se recuerde por todas las generaciones;
por eso las naciones te alabarán eternamente y para siempre.
