Lawsuits Among Believers
1If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people? 2Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! 4Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church? 5I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? 6But instead, one brother takes another to court—and this in front of unbelievers!
7The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? 8Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters. 9Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men6:9 The words men who have sex with men translate two Greek words that refer to the passive and active participants in homosexual acts. 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Sexual Immorality
12“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. 13You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”6:16 Gen. 2:24 17But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.6:17 Or in the Spirit
18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
处理信徒之间的争执
1你们中间发生了纠纷，不找圣徒审理，竟敢告到不义的人面前吗？ 2难道你们不知道圣徒将来要审判这世界吗？既然这世界也要由你们审判，难道你们不能审理这些小事吗？ 3岂不知我们将来要审判天使吗？何况今世的事呢？ 4如果你们有什么纠纷，你们会指派不受教会敬重的人来审理吗？ 5我说这些是要叫你们羞愧。难道你们当中没有一个有智慧的人可以审理弟兄姊妹之间的事吗？ 6你们竟然弟兄告弟兄，还告到非信徒面前！
7你们互相指控，已经是很大的失败，为什么不能甘愿受欺负、吃点亏呢？ 8你们反而欺负人、亏待人，而且欺负、亏待的是自己的弟兄姊妹。 9你们岂不知道不义的人不能承受上帝的国吗？不要自欺，一切淫乱的、拜偶像的、通奸的、变态的、同性恋的、 10偷窃的、贪婪的、酗酒的、毁谤的、欺诈的，都不能承受上帝的国。 11你们当中有些以前就是这样的人，但靠着主耶稣基督的名和我们上帝的灵，你们已经被洗净、得以圣洁、被称为义人了。
远离淫乱的行为
12“凡事我都可以做”，但并非事事都有益处；“凡事我都可以做”，但我不受任何事的辖制。 13食物是为了肚腹，肚腹也是为了食物，但将来上帝要把这两样都废弃。身体不是用来行淫的，而是为了主，主也是为了身体。 14上帝已经使主复活了，将来也会用祂的大能使我们复活。
15难道你们不知道你们的身体就是基督的肢体吗？我能将基督的肢体与妓女的肢体联合吗？绝对不能！ 16你们不知道与妓女苟合，就是和她成为一体吗？因为主说：“二人要成为一体。”6:16 创世记2:24。 17然而，与主联合就是与祂合为一灵。
18你们务要远离淫乱的行为。人无论犯什么样的罪，都是在身体以外，唯独淫乱的，是得罪自己的身体。 19岂不知你们的身体就是圣灵的殿吗？你们里面住着上帝所赐的圣灵。你们不再属于自己， 20因为你们是上帝用重价买来的，所以你们要用自己的身体荣耀祂。
