The Arrangement of the Tribal Camps
1The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: 2“The Israelites are to camp around the tent of meeting some distance from it, each of them under their standard and holding the banners of their family.”
3On the east, toward the sunrise, the divisions of the camp of Judah are to encamp under their standard. The leader of the people of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab. 4His division numbers 74,600.
5The tribe of Issachar will camp next to them. The leader of the people of Issachar is Nethanel son of Zuar. 6His division numbers 54,400.
7The tribe of Zebulun will be next. The leader of the people of Zebulun is Eliab son of Helon. 8His division numbers 57,400.
9All the men assigned to the camp of Judah, according to their divisions, number 186,400. They will set out first.
10On the south will be the divisions of the camp of Reuben under their standard. The leader of the people of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur. 11His division numbers 46,500.
12The tribe of Simeon will camp next to them. The leader of the people of Simeon is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai. 13His division numbers 59,300.
14The tribe of Gad will be next. The leader of the people of Gad is Eliasaph son of Deuel.2:14 Many manuscripts of the Masoretic Text, Samaritan Pentateuch and Vulgate (see also 1:14); most manuscripts of the Masoretic Text Reuel 15His division numbers 45,650.
16All the men assigned to the camp of Reuben, according to their divisions, number 151,450. They will set out second.
17Then the tent of meeting and the camp of the Levites will set out in the middle of the camps. They will set out in the same order as they encamp, each in their own place under their standard.
18On the west will be the divisions of the camp of Ephraim under their standard. The leader of the people of Ephraim is Elishama son of Ammihud. 19His division numbers 40,500.
20The tribe of Manasseh will be next to them. The leader of the people of Manasseh is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur. 21His division numbers 32,200.
22The tribe of Benjamin will be next. The leader of the people of Benjamin is Abidan son of Gideoni. 23His division numbers 35,400.
24All the men assigned to the camp of Ephraim, according to their divisions, number 108,100. They will set out third.
25On the north will be the divisions of the camp of Dan under their standard. The leader of the people of Dan is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai. 26His division numbers 62,700.
27The tribe of Asher will camp next to them. The leader of the people of Asher is Pagiel son of Okran. 28His division numbers 41,500.
29The tribe of Naphtali will be next. The leader of the people of Naphtali is Ahira son of Enan. 30His division numbers 53,400.
31All the men assigned to the camp of Dan number 157,600. They will set out last, under their standards.
32These are the Israelites, counted according to their families. All the men in the camps, by their divisions, number 603,550. 33The Levites, however, were not counted along with the other Israelites, as the Lord commanded Moses.
34So the Israelites did everything the Lord commanded Moses; that is the way they encamped under their standards, and that is the way they set out, each of them with their clan and family.

5A un lado de Judá acampará la tribu de Isacar. Su jefe es Natanael, hijo de Zuar. 6Su ejército está integrado por cincuenta y cuatro mil cuatrocientos hombres.
7Al otro lado acampará la tribu de Zabulón. Su jefe es Eliab, hijo de Helón. 8Su ejército está integrado por cincuenta y siete mil cuatrocientos hombres.
9Todos los que fueron asignados al campamento de Judá, según sus escuadrones, suman ciento ochenta y seis mil cuatrocientos hombres, los cuales marcharán a la cabeza.
10»Al sur acamparán los que se agrupan bajo el estandarte del campamento de Rubén, según sus escuadrones.
Su jefe es Elisur, hijo de Sedeúr. 11Su ejército está integrado por cuarenta y seis mil quinientos hombres.
12A un lado de Rubén acampará la tribu de Simeón. Su jefe es Selumiel, hijo de Zurisaday. 13Su ejército está integrado por cincuenta y nueve mil trescientos hombres.
14Al otro lado acampará la tribu de Gad. Su jefe es Eliasaf, hijo de Deuel.2:14 Deuel (mss. hebreos, Pentateuco Samaritano y Vulgata); Reuel (TM). 15Su ejército está integrado por cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos cincuenta hombres.
16Todos los asignados al campamento de Rubén, según sus escuadrones, suman ciento cincuenta y un mil cuatrocientos cincuenta hombres, los cuales marcharán en segundo lugar.
17»Entonces se pondrá en marcha la Tienda de reunión junto con el campamento de los levitas que está situado en medio de los demás campamentos. Partirán en el mismo orden en que hayan acampado, cada uno en su lugar y bajo su estandarte.
18»Al oeste acamparán los que se agrupan bajo el estandarte del campamento de Efraín, según sus escuadrones.
Su jefe es Elisama, hijo de Amiud. 19Su ejército está integrado por cuarenta mil quinientos hombres.
20A un lado de Efraín acampará la tribu de Manasés. Su jefe es Gamaliel, hijo de Pedasur. 21Su ejército está integrado por treinta y dos mil doscientos hombres.
22Al otro lado acampará la tribu de Benjamín. Su jefe es Abidán, hijo de Gedeoni. 23Su ejército está integrado por treinta y cinco mil cuatrocientos hombres.
24Todos los asignados al campamento de Efraín, según sus escuadrones, suman ciento ocho mil cien hombres, los cuales marcharán en tercer lugar.
25»Al norte acamparán los que se agrupan bajo el estandarte del campamento de Dan, según sus escuadrones.
Su jefe es Ajiezer, hijo de Amisaday. 26Su ejército está integrado por sesenta y dos mil setecientos hombres.
27A un lado de Dan acampará la tribu de Aser. Su jefe es Paguiel, hijo de Ocrán. 28Su escuadrón está integrado por cuarenta y un mil quinientos hombres.
29Al otro lado acampará la tribu de Neftalí. Su jefe es Ajirá, hijo de Enán. 30Su escuadrón está integrado por cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos hombres.
31Todos los asignados al campamento de Dan, según sus escuadrones, suman ciento cincuenta y siete mil seiscientos hombres, los cuales marcharán en último lugar, según sus estandartes».
32Estos son los israelitas asignados de entre las familias patriarcales. El total de los asignados por escuadrones suma seiscientos tres mil quinientos cincuenta hombres. 33Pero los levitas no están incluidos con los demás israelitas, conforme a lo que el Señor había mandado a Moisés.
34Los israelitas hicieron todo lo que el Señor mandó a Moisés: acampaban bajo sus propios estandartes y se ponían en marcha, según sus clanes y familias patriarcales.
