Leviticus 19:1-37

Various Laws

1The Lord said to Moses, 2“Speak to the entire assembly of Israel and say to them: ‘Be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy.

3“ ‘Each of you must respect your mother and father, and you must observe my Sabbaths. I am the Lord your God.

4“ ‘Do not turn to idols or make metal gods for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.

5“ ‘When you sacrifice a fellowship offering to the Lord, sacrifice it in such a way that it will be accepted on your behalf. 6It shall be eaten on the day you sacrifice it or on the next day; anything left over until the third day must be burned up. 7If any of it is eaten on the third day, it is impure and will not be accepted. 8Whoever eats it will be held responsible because they have desecrated what is holy to the Lord; they must be cut off from their people.

9“ ‘When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. 10Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am the Lord your God.

11“ ‘Do not steal.

“ ‘Do not lie.

“ ‘Do not deceive one another.

12“ ‘Do not swear falsely by my name and so profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.

13“ ‘Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.

“ ‘Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight.

14“ ‘Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the Lord.

15“ ‘Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.

16“ ‘Do not go about spreading slander among your people.

“ ‘Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am the Lord.

17“ ‘Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt.

18“ ‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

19“ ‘Keep my decrees.

“ ‘Do not mate different kinds of animals.

“ ‘Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed.

“ ‘Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.

20“ ‘If a man sleeps with a female slave who is promised to another man but who has not been ransomed or given her freedom, there must be due punishment.19:20 Or be an inquiry Yet they are not to be put to death, because she had not been freed. 21The man, however, must bring a ram to the entrance to the tent of meeting for a guilt offering to the Lord. 22With the ram of the guilt offering the priest is to make atonement for him before the Lord for the sin he has committed, and his sin will be forgiven.

23“ ‘When you enter the land and plant any kind of fruit tree, regard its fruit as forbidden.19:23 Hebrew uncircumcised For three years you are to consider it forbidden19:23 Hebrew uncircumcised; it must not be eaten. 24In the fourth year all its fruit will be holy, an offering of praise to the Lord. 25But in the fifth year you may eat its fruit. In this way your harvest will be increased. I am the Lord your God.

26“ ‘Do not eat any meat with the blood still in it.

“ ‘Do not practice divination or seek omens.

27“ ‘Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.

28“ ‘Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord.

29“ ‘Do not degrade your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the land will turn to prostitution and be filled with wickedness.

30“ ‘Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.

31“ ‘Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.

32“ ‘Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord.

33“ ‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. 34The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

35“ ‘Do not use dishonest standards when measuring length, weight or quantity. 36Use honest scales and honest weights, an honest ephah19:36 An ephah was a dry measure having the capacity of about 3/5 of a bushel or about 22 liters. and an honest hin.19:36 A hin was a liquid measure having the capacity of about 1 gallon or about 3.8 liters. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt.

37“ ‘Keep all my decrees and all my laws and follow them. I am the Lord.’ ”

有关圣洁生活的条例

1耶和华对摩西说: 2“你把以下条例告诉以色列全体会众。

“你们要圣洁,因为我——你们的上帝耶和华是圣洁的。 3你们每个人都必须孝敬父母,遵守我的安息日。我是你们的上帝耶和华。 4不要祭拜虚无的神明,也不要为自己铸造神像。我是你们的上帝耶和华。 5你们献平安祭给我时,要使你们所献的蒙悦纳。 6要在献祭当天或第二天吃完祭物。如果第三天还有剩余,都要烧掉。 7如果有人第三天还吃那些祭物,祭物就不洁净,我不会悦纳。 8那人要自担罪责,因为他亵渎了我的圣物。要将他从民中铲除。

9“你们收割的时候,不要割净田角地边的庄稼,也不要捡那些掉在田里的穗子。 10不要摘净葡萄园里的葡萄,也不要捡掉在地上的葡萄。要把这些留给穷人和寄居在你们中间的外族人。我是你们的上帝耶和华。 11不可偷盗,不可撒谎,不可互相欺骗。 12不可以我的名义起假誓,从而亵渎你们上帝的名。我是耶和华。 13不可欺压邻居,也不可抢夺他的东西。要当天支付雇工的工钱,不可拖到第二天。 14不可咒骂聋子,也不可绊倒盲人,应当敬畏你们的上帝。我是耶和华。 15不可徇私枉法,不可偏袒穷人,不可谄媚权贵之人,要秉公审判。 16不可到处搬弄是非,不可危害邻居的生命安全。我是耶和华。 17对同胞不可心中怀恨。同胞有错,要当面指正,免得自己因他而担罪。 18不可报复,不可埋怨同胞,要爱邻如己。我是耶和华。

19“你们要遵守我的律例。不可让牲畜杂交;不可在同一块田播撒两种不同的种子;不可穿两种材料织成的衣服。

20“一个已经许配人的婢女尚未被赎或未获自由时,如果有人与她同寝,就要受到处罚,但不可处死他们,因为那婢女还未获自由。 21和她同寝的人要把一只公绵羊牵到会幕门口,作为赎过祭献给耶和华。 22祭司要用作赎过祭的公绵羊为那人赎罪,他的罪便得到赦免。

23“你们到了迦南,在那里栽种各样果树后,前三年不可吃树上的果子,要视它们是不洁净的19:23 不洁净的”希伯来文是“未受割礼的”。24第四年,树上的所有果子都是圣洁的,要献给耶和华作颂赞之祭。 25第五年,你们可以吃树上的果子。你们这样做,果树会为你们结出更多果子。我是你们的上帝耶和华。

26“不可吃带血的肉,不可占卜或行巫术。 27不可修剪鬓角或胡须。 28不可因哀悼死人而割伤身体或纹身。我是耶和华。 29不可辱没自己的女儿,使她沦为娼妓,免得你们居住的地方充满淫乱和邪恶。 30要遵守我的安息日,敬畏我的圣所。我是耶和华。 31不可求问灵媒或巫师,玷污自己。我是你们的上帝耶和华。

32“在年长者面前,要恭敬站立,要敬重年长者。要敬畏你们的上帝。我是耶和华。 33不可欺负住在你们境内的外族人, 34要视他们如同胞,爱他们如爱自己,因为你们也曾经寄居埃及。我是你们的上帝耶和华。 35在称重和度量时,不可骗人。 36要使用准确的秤、尺子和升斗。我是你们的上帝耶和华,曾带领你们离开埃及37你们要遵行我的一切律例和典章。我是耶和华。”
