1And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.6.1 began…: Heb. built 2And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits. 3And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house. 4And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.6.4 of…: or, broad within, and narrow without: or, skewed and closed

11¶ And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying, 12Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father: 13And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel. 14So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
15And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the cieling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.6.15 both…: or, from the floor of the house unto the walls, etc 16And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place. 17And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long. 18And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.6.18 knops: or, gourds6.18 open: Heb. openings of 19And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD. 20And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.6.20 pure: Heb. shut up 21So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold. 22And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.
23¶ And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.6.23 olive: or, oily: Heb. trees of oil 24And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits. 25And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size. 26The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub. 27And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.6.27 they…: or, the cherubims stretched forth their wings 28And he overlaid the cherubims with gold. 29And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.6.29 open flowers: Heb. openings of flowers 30And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.

36¶ And he built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone, and a row of cedar beams.
37¶ In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Zif: 38And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. 建造圣殿
1所罗门在做以色列王的第四年二月，即西弗月，开始为耶和华建殿。那时正是以色列人离开埃及后第四百八十年。 2所罗门王为耶和华建造的殿长二十七米，宽九米，高十三米半。 3殿前的门廊和殿一样宽九米，深四米半。 4殿有精致的窗户。 5靠殿墙、围着外殿和内殿又造了三层厢房， 6底层宽二点二五米，中层宽二点七米，上层宽三点一米。厢房的横梁都搭在殿墙突出的地方，免得插入殿墙。 7建殿的石头都在采石场凿好了，建殿的时候听不到锤子、斧头或其他铁器的响声。
8底层厢房的进口在殿的南面，沿着一道螺旋楼梯可以通到第二层和第三层。 9殿建成后，殿顶装上香柏木的梁木和木板。 10靠着殿墙所造的厢房每一层高二点二五米，用香柏木的梁木与殿墙接连起来。
耶和华的约
11耶和华对所罗门说： 12“关于你所建的这殿，若你遵行我的律例，顺从我的典章，谨守我的一切诫命，我必实现我对你父亲大卫的应许。 13我必住在以色列人当中，不抛弃我的以色列子民。”
14所罗门建造的殿落成了。 15殿里的墙壁和天花板都铺上了香柏木，地面都铺上了松木板。 16在殿的后部，从地面至天花板用香柏木板隔出长九米的内殿，就是至圣所。 17在至圣所外面是外殿，长十八米。 18殿内全部铺上香柏木，不露一点石头，香柏木上刻着野瓜和花朵的图案。 19殿的至圣所用来安放耶和华的约柜。 20至圣所长、宽和高都是九米，里面全贴上纯金，香柏木造的祭坛也包上纯金。 21殿内全部贴上纯金，至圣所前面有金链拦着。 22殿内都贴上纯金，至圣所内的祭坛也都包上纯金。
23至圣所里面放着两个橄榄木造的基路伯天使，各高四米半， 24各有两个二点二五米长的翅膀，双翅展开，两翅尖相距四点五米。 25两个基路伯的大小和形状一模一样， 26高度都是四点五米。 27他将两个基路伯安在至圣所内，两个基路伯展开翅膀，各有一个翅膀在至圣所的中央相接，另一个翅膀的尖端触到墙壁。 28这两个基路伯天使也包上金。
29内殿和外殿的墙壁都刻上基路伯天使、棕树和花朵的图案， 30地板是铺金的。 31至圣所的门、门楣和门柱都是橄榄木造的，门柱呈五角形。 32两扇用橄榄木造的门上都刻着基路伯天使、棕树和花朵的图案，并包上金。 33外殿的四角形门柱也是用橄榄木造的， 34两扇门是松木造的，每一扇门都分为可折叠的两片， 35上面刻着基路伯天使、棕树和花朵的图案，并包上金。 36内院的墙是由三层凿好的石头和一层香柏木建的。
37耶和华的殿在所罗门执政第四年的西弗月奠基， 38在他执政的第十一年的布勒月，即八月全部按规格建成，历经七年。
