If I’d been in Joseph’s shoes, I’m not sure I would have taken it so well.
Hated and despised by his brothers. Sold into slavery. Accused – and convicted – of a crime he didn’t commit. And then imprisoned – for years!
Yet Joseph knew God was in control. He knew God to be the master of working out His good purposes even in situations that are anything but good.
As Joseph declared to his brothers,
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Genesis 50:20 NIV)
You and I should not be surprised that God is in the same business today. He’s still at work to redeem and restore – “intending good” for men and women, even through the trials and tribulations of life in this broken, fallen world.
And one place where He’s still doing that is in prison cells. Wasn’t it inspiring to read Fredrick’s story of transformation in Christ? You help make “God at work” stories like Fredrick’s possible through your generous partnership in Kingdom impact.
