In an effort to more clearly focus its strategy for Bible translation, Bible access, and Bible engagement, Biblica is launching a new ministry in MENA. It will be a ministry that engages in evangelism and empowering the church through ministry to children & youth and equipping leaders. It will pursue wider outreach through digital media (e.g. Internet radio & social media) as well as outreach to persecuted and oppressed Christians. In some countries in the MENA region, it will operate ministry centers.
Biblica recently joined alongside Christian publishing house Zondervan to provide custom NIV Bibles for all 16,000 people in attendance at InterVarsity’s five-day Urbana conference. Urbana, which is held every three years, dates back to 1946 and is the largest student missions conference in the world. It has challenged nearly 300,000 young people for missions since its inception. It was most recently held in December of 2015 in St. Louis, Missouri. When InterVarsity came to Biblica and Zondervan requesting Bibles, both organizations jumped at the opportunity. …

Citing a desire to focus more exclusively on its core ministry efforts, today Biblica announced an expanded partnership with HarperCollins Christian Publishing (HCCP). Under the new agreement, HCCP will assume the direct and trade sales responsibilities of Biblica’s low-cost outreach Bibles, through the Zondervan Bible publishing program. Zondervan has been the longtime North American commercial publishing partner for Biblica in marketing and development of NIV translation Bible products.
Biblica announced today that its Board of Directors, by unanimous vote, has appointed Dr. Carl A. Moeller as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 14, 2014. Dr. Moeller served three years as a pastor at Saddleback Church before founding Sequoia Global Resources. He will replace Doug Lockhart, who announced last March that he would transition from his role as Biblica’s CEO by early 2015.
