Have you ever heard the expression, “You don’t need to reinvent the wheel”? It’s a favorite saying of mine because it reminds me that whatever problem I’m facing, someone has already faced it – and found a solution.
You know, a major problem that so many people are facing in our world today is that they simply don’t have access to God’s Word. It’s a lamp to the feet, a light to the path. But when you don’t have it, you’re walking in darkness.
That’s why I’m so grateful for your support as we kick off our 2017 Summer Surge – and aim to put copies of God’s powerful, life-giving Word into the hands of 36 million people in Africa, Asia, and across the Muslim world.
The answer to this problem of spiritual darkness is right in front of us: together, we can give people a Bible of their very own!
Your help in this most important mission creates a powerful impact on people like Khalid, who, after being abandoned by his father and left defenseless on the streets, saw his father’s life changed by God’s Word. Now, Khalid says:
“Today, my family, we are renewed. My father is a pastor, my mother was cured of cancer, and my family have become missionaries, planting churches in the south part of Kyrgyzstan.”
You can read more of Khalid’s story in the first article of this newsletter, ‘What you are doing with the Bible is really powerful!’
There are many more people in this hurting world who are desperately hoping for the opportunity to have their own Bible – to grow in faith and be encouraged in a loving and life-changing relationship with Jesus.
So please join us in prayer, as we ask God to move in a powerful way across Africa, Asia, and the Muslim world through the Summer Surge – and thank you again for your partnership.
May God bless you as you share the Good News of Jesus around the world!
Yours in Christ,
Dr. Carl A. Moeller
