เครื่องแต่งกายสะอาดสำหรับมหาปุโรหิต
1แล้วทูตองค์นั้นได้แสดงให้ข้าพเจ้าเห็นมหาปุโรหิตโยชูวา3:1 เป็นอีกรูปหนึ่งของเยชูวาเช่นเดียวกับที่อื่นๆ ในพระธรรมเศคาริยาห์ยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าทูตขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า และซาตาน3:1 แปลว่า ผู้กล่าวโทษยืนอยู่ขวามือของเขาเพื่อกล่าวหาเขา 2องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับซาตานว่า “ซาตาน! องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตำหนิเจ้า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าผู้เลือกสรรเยรูซาเล็มตำหนิเจ้า! ชายผู้นี้เป็นดุ้นฟืนติดไฟที่ถูกดึงออกจากไฟไม่ใช่หรือ?”
3โยชูวานั้นสวมเสื้อผ้าสกปรกยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าทูตสวรรค์องค์นั้น 4ทูตนั้นกล่าวแก่บรรดาผู้ยืนอยู่เบื้องหน้าเขาว่า “ถอดเสื้อผ้าสกปรกของเขาออกเถิด”
แล้วกล่าวกับโยชูวาว่า “ดูเถิด เราได้ปลดเปลื้องบาปของเจ้าออกไปแล้ว และเราจะให้เจ้าสวมเสื้อผ้างดงาม”
5ข้าพเจ้าจึงกล่าวว่า “ขอให้เอาผ้าโพกศีรษะที่สะอาดมาโพกให้เขา” แล้วพวกเขาก็โพกศีรษะโยชูวาด้วยผ้าสะอาดและแต่งกายให้ขณะที่ทูตขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้ายืนอยู่ใกล้ๆ
6ทูตขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้ากล่าวกำชับโยชูวาว่า 7“พระยาห์เวห์ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์ตรัสว่า ‘หากเจ้าดำเนินในวิถีทางของเรา และรักษากฎเกณฑ์ของเรา เจ้าจะได้ปกครองนิเวศของเรา รวมทั้งลานวิหารของเรา เราจะให้เจ้าดำเนินอยู่ต่อหน้าเราร่วมกับคนเหล่านี้ที่ยืนอยู่ที่นี่
8“ ‘ฟังเถิด มหาปุโรหิตโยชูวาและเพื่อนร่วมงานซึ่งนั่งอยู่ตรงหน้าเจ้า พวกเจ้าผู้เป็นคนซึ่งเป็นสัญลักษณ์บ่งถึงสิ่งที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต เราจะนำผู้รับใช้ของเรามาคือ “กิ่ง” 9จงดูศิลาที่เราตั้งไว้ตรงหน้าโยชูวาเถิด! ศิลาก้อนเดียวมีเจ็ดเหลี่ยม3:9 หรือเจ็ดตา และเราจะสลักคำจารึกบนศิลานั้น’ พระยาห์เวห์ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์ตรัสว่า ‘และเราจะขจัดบาปของดินแดนนี้ภายในวันเดียว
10“ ‘ในวันนั้น พวกเจ้าแต่ละคนจะเชิญเพื่อนบ้านมานั่งใต้เถาองุ่นและต้นมะเดื่อของตน’ พระยาห์เวห์ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์ประกาศดังนั้น”
Clean garments for the high priest

Then he said to Joshua, ‘See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.’
5Then I said, ‘Put a clean turban on his head.’ So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the Lord stood by.
6The angel of the Lord gave this charge to Joshua: 7‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: “If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.
8‘ “Listen, High Priest Joshua, you and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch. 9See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes3:9 Or facets on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,” says the Lord Almighty, “and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.
10‘ “In that day each of you will invite your neighbour to sit under your vine and fig-tree,” declares the Lord Almighty.’
