1เลบานอนเอ๋ย จงเปิดประตูทั้งหลายของเจ้าเถิด
เพื่อไฟจะได้เผาผลาญเหล่าสนซีดาร์ของเจ้า!
2ต้นสนเอ๋ย จงร่ำไห้เถิด เพราะซีดาร์ถูกโค่นลงแล้ว
ต้นไม้งามตระหง่านนั้นย่อยยับลงแล้ว!
ต้นโอ๊กแห่งบาชานเอ๋ย จงร่ำไห้เถิด
ป่าทึบถูกตัดเตียนแล้ว!
3จงฟังเสียงร่ำไห้ของบรรดาคนเลี้ยงแกะ
ทุ่งหญ้าอันอุดมสมบูรณ์ของพวกเขาถูกทำลายไป!
จงฟังเสียงคำรามของเหล่าสิงห์
ป่าอันเขียวขจีของจอร์แดนถูกทำลายไปแล้ว!
คนเลี้ยงแกะทั้งสอง
4พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ตรัสว่า “จงเลี้ยงฝูงแกะที่จะต้องถูกฆ่า 5ผู้ซื้อฆ่าแกะเหล่านั้นและไม่ถูกลงโทษแต่อย่างใด บรรดาคนขายก็พูดว่า ‘สรรเสริญองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เรารวยแล้ว!’ คนเลี้ยงแกะเองขายมันไปโดยไม่ปรานีฝูงแกะเลย 6เพราะเราจะไม่สงสารชาวแผ่นดินนี้อีกแล้ว” องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนี้ “เราจะมอบทุกคนไว้ในมือเพื่อนบ้านและกษัตริย์ของพวกเขา ซึ่งจะข่มเหงเบียดเบียนแผ่นดินนี้ เราจะไม่ช่วยพวกเขาจากเงื้อมมือของคนเหล่านั้น”
7ดังนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงเลี้ยงแกะที่จะต้องถูกฆ่า โดยเฉพาะตัวที่ถูกรังแก แล้วข้าพเจ้าเอาไม้เท้าคนเลี้ยงแกะมาสองอัน อันหนึ่งตั้งชื่อว่า “พระคุณ” และอีกอันหนึ่งตั้งชื่อว่า “กลมเกลียว” แล้วข้าพเจ้าก็เลี้ยงดูแกะ 8ภายในเดือนเดียวข้าพเจ้าได้กำจัดคนเลี้ยงแกะทั้งสามคนนั้นออกไป
แต่ข้าพเจ้ากลับเอือมระอาฝูงแกะคือชนชาตินี้ และพวกเขาก็เกลียดชังข้าพเจ้า 9ข้าพเจ้าจึงกล่าวว่า “เราจะไม่เป็นคนเลี้ยงของเจ้าอีกแล้ว ใครจะตายก็ให้ตายไป ใครจะพินาศก็ให้พินาศไป ที่เหลือก็ให้กินเลือดกินเนื้อกันเอง”
10แล้วข้าพเจ้าเอาไม้เท้าที่ชื่อว่า “พระคุณ” มาหักเสีย เป็นการล้มเลิกพันธสัญญาที่ข้าพเจ้าทำไว้กับประชาชาติทั้งปวง 11เป็นอันยกเลิกสัญญาในวันนั้น แล้วผู้ตกทุกข์ได้ยากในฝูงแกะซึ่งมองดูข้าพเจ้าอยู่ ก็รู้ว่าเป็นพระดำรัสขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
12ข้าพเจ้ากล่าวกับพวกเขาว่า “หากท่านเห็นชอบ ก็จงจ่ายค่าจ้างให้เรา ถ้าไม่เห็นดี ก็เก็บค่าจ้างนั้นไว้เถิด” ฉะนั้นเขาจึงจ่ายเงินให้ข้าพเจ้าเป็นเงินสามสิบแผ่น
13องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “จงโยนเงินนี้ให้แก่ช่างปั้นหม้อ คือเงินค่าจ้างอย่างงามที่พวกเขาจ่ายให้” ข้าพเจ้าก็นำเงินสามสิบแผ่นนั้นโยนเข้าไปในพระนิเวศขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าสำหรับช่างปั้นหม้อ
14แล้วข้าพเจ้าหักไม้เท้าอันที่สองซึ่งชื่อว่า “กลมเกลียว” เพื่อแสดงว่ายูดาห์กับอิสราเอลเลิกเป็นพี่น้องกันแล้ว
15แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “จงหยิบเครื่องใช้ของคนเลี้ยงแกะโง่เขลาขึ้นมาอีก 16เพราะเรากำลังจะตั้งคนเลี้ยงขึ้นมาคนหนึ่งสำหรับดินแดนนี้ ซึ่งจะไม่ใส่ใจแกะที่หลงหาย ไม่ดูแลลูกแกะ ไม่รักษาเยียวยาตัวที่บาดเจ็บ หรือเลี้ยงดูตัวที่แข็งแรง แต่จะกินเนื้อแกะตัวที่อ้วนพีและฉีกกีบเท้าของมันออก
17“วิบัติแก่คนเลี้ยงแกะที่ไร้ค่า
ผู้ซึ่งทอดทิ้งฝูงแกะ!
ขอให้ดาบฟันแขนของเขาและตาขวาของเขา!
ขอให้แขนของเขาลีบไป
และให้ตาขวาของเขาบอดสนิท!”
1Open your doors, Lebanon,
so that fire may devour your cedars!
2Wail, you juniper, for the cedar has fallen;
the stately trees are ruined!
Wail, oaks of Bashan;
the dense forest has been cut down!
3Listen to the wail of the shepherds:
their rich pastures are destroyed!
Listen to the roar of the lions;
the lush thicket of the Jordan is ruined!
Two shepherds
4This is what the Lord my God says: ‘Shepherd the flock marked for slaughter. 5Their buyers slaughter them and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, “Praise the Lord, I am rich!” Their own shepherds do not spare them. 6For I will no longer have pity on the people of the land,’ declares the Lord. ‘I will give everyone into the hands of their neighbours and their king. They will devastate the land, and I will not rescue anyone from their hands.’
7So I shepherded the flock marked for slaughter, particularly the oppressed of the flock. Then I took two staffs and called one Favour and the other Union, and I shepherded the flock. 8In one month I got rid of the three shepherds.
The flock detested me, and I grew weary of them 9and said, ‘I will not be your shepherd. Let the dying die, and the perishing perish. Let those who are left eat one another’s flesh.’
10Then I took my staff called Favour and broke it, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations. 11It was revoked on that day, and so the oppressed of the flock who were watching me knew it was the word of the Lord.
12I told them, ‘If you think it best, give me my pay; but if not, keep it.’ So they paid me thirty pieces of silver.
13And the Lord said to me, ‘Throw it to the potter’ – the handsome price at which they valued me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at the house of the Lord.
14Then I broke my second staff called Union, breaking the family bond between Judah and Israel.
15Then the Lord said to me, ‘Take again the equipment of a foolish shepherd. 16For I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land who will not care for the lost, or seek the young, or heal the injured, or feed the healthy, but will eat the meat of the choice sheep, tearing off their hooves.
17‘Woe to the worthless shepherd,
who deserts the flock!
May the sword strike his arm and his right eye!
May his arm be completely withered,
his right eye totally blinded!’
