แท่นเผาเครื่องหอม
(อพย.37:25-28)
1“จงใช้ไม้กระถินเทศทำแท่นบูชาสำหรับเผาเครื่องหอม 2เป็นแท่นรูปสี่เหลี่ยมจัตุรัสขนาดกว้างและยาว 1 ศอก สูง 2 ศอก30:2 คือ กว้างและยาวประมาณ 0.5 เมตร สูงประมาณ 0.9 เมตร มีเชิงงอนแกะสลักจากตัวแท่นเป็นเนื้อเดียวกัน 3ใช้ทองคำบริสุทธิ์หุ้มด้านบน ด้านข้างทุกด้าน และเชิงงอน และทำคิ้วทองคำคาดรอบแท่น 4ใต้คิ้วทั้งสองด้านทำห่วงทองคำข้างละสองอัน สำหรับสอดคานหามเวลาเคลื่อนย้ายแท่น 5จงทำคานหามจากไม้กระถินเทศหุ้มทองคำ 6จงตั้งแท่นนี้ไว้นอกม่านหน้าหีบพันธสัญญา คืออยู่หน้าพระที่นั่งกรุณาซึ่งอยู่เหนือหีบพันธสัญญา เราจะพบกับเจ้าที่นั่น
7“ทุกเช้าเมื่ออาโรนมาดูแลความเรียบร้อยของตะเกียง เขาต้องเผาเครื่องหอมบนแท่น 8และทุกเย็นเมื่อมาจุดประทีป เขาต้องเผาเครื่องหอมต่อหน้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าอีกครั้งหนึ่ง จงปฏิบัติเช่นนี้สืบไปทุกชั่วอายุ 9เครื่องหอมอื่นๆ เครื่องเผาบูชา เครื่องธัญบูชา อย่านำมาเผาบนแท่นนี้เลย และอย่าเทเครื่องดื่มบูชาบนแท่นนี้ 10อาโรนจะทำพิธีลบมลทินชำระแท่นปีละครั้งโดยต้องใช้เลือดของเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาปทาเชิงงอน จงปฏิบัติตามกฎข้อนี้ทุกๆ ปีสืบไปทุกชั่วอายุ เพราะแท่นนี้เป็นแท่นบริสุทธิ์ที่สุดแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า”
เงินค่าไถ่ชีวิต
11แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า 12“เมื่อเจ้าทำสำมะโนประชากรชนอิสราเอลเพื่อนับจำนวนพวกเขา ให้ทุกคนที่เข้าชื่อแล้วนำค่าไถ่ชีวิตมาถวายแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเพื่อไม่ให้เกิดภัยพิบัติขึ้นในหมู่พวกเขา 13ค่าไถ่ชีวิตดังกล่าวคือเงินหนักครึ่งเชเขล30:13 คือ ประมาณ 6 กรัม เช่นเดียวกับข้อ 15ตามเชเขลของสถานนมัสการ ซึ่ง 1 เชเขลหนัก 20 เกราห์ นี่เป็นเงินครึ่งเชเขลซึ่งถวายแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 14ทุกคนที่ขึ้นทะเบียนสำมะโนประชากรที่มีอายุยี่สิบปีขึ้นไปจะต้องถวายเงินจำนวนนี้แด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 15คนรวยไม่ต้องถวายเกินครึ่งเชเขล ส่วนคนจนต้องถวายให้ครบ เพราะเป็นเงินถวายแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเป็นค่าไถ่ชีวิต 16จงรับเงินค่าลบบาปจากชนอิสราเอลและใช้เงินจำนวนนี้สำหรับทำนุบำรุงเต็นท์นัดพบ นี่เป็นอนุสรณ์สำหรับชนอิสราเอลต่อหน้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าเป็นการไถ่ชีวิตสำหรับพวกเจ้า”
อ่างสำหรับล้างชำระ
17แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า 18“จงทำอ่างทองสัมฤทธิ์และฐานรองทองสัมฤทธิ์เพื่อการล้างชำระ วางไว้ระหว่างเต็นท์นัดพบกับแท่นบูชา และใส่น้ำในอ่างนั้น 19อาโรนและบรรดาบุตรชายจะใช้น้ำนั้นล้างมือล้างเท้า 20เมื่อใดก็ตามที่พวกเขาเข้าไปในเต็นท์นัดพบ พวกเขาจะล้างชำระด้วยน้ำเพื่อจะได้ไม่ตาย เช่นเดียวกันกับเมื่อพวกเขาเข้าไปปรนนิบัติที่แท่นบูชาโดยการถวายเครื่องบูชาด้วยไฟแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 21พวกเขาจะล้างมือและเท้าเพื่อพวกเขาจะไม่ตาย นี่จะต้องเป็นข้อปฏิบัติถาวรสำหรับอาโรนและวงศ์วานของเขาสืบไปทุกชั่วอายุ”

22แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า 23“จงนำเครื่องหอมอย่างดีต่อไปนี้คือ มดยอบแท้หนักประมาณ 6 กิโลกรัม30:23 ภาษาฮีบรูว่า 500 เชเขล เช่นเดียวกับข้อ 24 อบเชยหอมและตะไคร้หอมอย่างละครึ่งของมดยอบ คือ ประมาณ 3 กิโลกรัม30:23 ภาษาฮีบรูว่า 250 เชเขล 24การบูร ประมาณ 6 กิโลกรัมและน้ำมันมะกอกประมาณ 4 ลิตร30:24 ภาษาฮีบรูว่า 1 ฮิน 25ให้นำเครื่องปรุงเหล่านี้มาทำเป็นน้ำมันเจิมบริสุทธิ์ น้ำหอมที่ปรุงตามศิลปะของช่างปรุง เพื่อใช้เป็นน้ำมันเจิมอันบริสุทธิ์ 26แล้วจงใช้น้ำมันหอมนี้เจิมเต็นท์นัดพบ หีบพันธสัญญา 27โต๊ะพร้อมทั้งเครื่องใช้ไม้สอย คันประทีปพร้อมทั้งอุปกรณ์ทั้งหมด แท่นเผาเครื่องหอม 28แท่นบูชาพร้อมทั้งภาชนะใช้สอยครบครัน อ่างทองสัมฤทธิ์และฐานรองอ่าง 29จงชำระของเหล่านี้เพื่อจะได้เป็นสิ่งที่บริสุทธิ์ที่สุด สิ่งใดก็ตามเมื่อสัมผัสสิ่งของเหล่านี้จะบริสุทธิ์ไปด้วย
30“จงเจิมอาโรนและบรรดาบุตรชายของเขา เป็นการชำระพวกเขาให้บริสุทธิ์และแยกไว้เพื่อปฏิบัติหน้าที่ปุโรหิตรับใช้เรา 31จงแจ้งชนอิสราเอลว่า ‘นี่คือน้ำมันเจิมบริสุทธิ์ของเราสืบไปทุกชั่วอายุ 32อย่าเทน้ำมันนี้ลงบนร่างกายคนทั่วไป อย่าใช้สูตรนี้ปรุงน้ำมันใดๆ เพราะเป็นของศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และเจ้าจะต้องถือว่าเป็นของศักดิ์สิทธิ์ 33ผู้ใดผสมน้ำมันหอมอย่างนี้หรือนำไปใช้กับผู้ที่ไม่ใช่ปุโรหิต จะต้องถูกตัดออกจากหมู่ประชากรของเขา’ ”
เครื่องหอม
34แล้วองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับโมเสสว่า “จงนำเครื่องเทศหอม อันได้แก่ยางไม้หอม น้ำมันชะมด มหาหิงค์ และกำยานบริสุทธิ์ ชั่งให้ได้ส่วนเท่ากันหมด 35ปรุงเป็นเครื่องหอมตามศิลปะของช่างปรุง เจือด้วยเกลือ จะเป็นของที่บริสุทธิ์และศักดิ์สิทธิ์ 36จงเอาส่วนหนึ่งมาบดละเอียดแล้ววางไว้หน้าหีบพันธสัญญาในเต็นท์นัดพบที่ซึ่งเราจะมาพบเจ้า เครื่องหอมนี้ถือว่าเป็นของบริสุทธิ์ที่สุดสำหรับเจ้า 37อย่าปรุงเครื่องหอมสูตรนี้เพื่อใช้เอง จงถือเป็นของบริสุทธิ์แด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า 38ผู้ใดทำขึ้นไว้เพื่อความรื่นรมย์ส่วนตัวจะต้องถูกตัดออกจากหมู่ประชากรของเขา”
The Altar of Incense
1“Make an altar of acacia wood for burning incense. 2It is to be square, a cubit long and a cubit wide, and two cubits high30:2 That is, about 1 1/2 feet long and wide and 3 feet high or about 45 centimeters long and wide and 90 centimeters high—its horns of one piece with it. 3Overlay the top and all the sides and the horns with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it. 4Make two gold rings for the altar below the molding—two on each of the opposite sides—to hold the poles used to carry it. 5Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 6Put the altar in front of the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law—before the atonement cover that is over the tablets of the covenant law—where I will meet with you.
7“Aaron must burn fragrant incense on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps. 8He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight so incense will burn regularly before the Lord for the generations to come. 9Do not offer on this altar any other incense or any burnt offering or grain offering, and do not pour a drink offering on it. 10Once a year Aaron shall make atonement on its horns. This annual atonement must be made with the blood of the atoning sin offering30:10 Or purification offering for the generations to come. It is most holy to the Lord.”
Atonement Money
11Then the Lord said to Moses, 12“When you take a census of the Israelites to count them, each one must pay the Lord a ransom for his life at the time he is counted. Then no plague will come on them when you number them. 13Each one who crosses over to those already counted is to give a half shekel,30:13 That is, about 1/5 ounce or about 5.8 grams; also in verse 15 according to the sanctuary shekel, which weighs twenty gerahs. This half shekel is an offering to the Lord. 14All who cross over, those twenty years old or more, are to give an offering to the Lord. 15The rich are not to give more than a half shekel and the poor are not to give less when you make the offering to the Lord to atone for your lives. 16Receive the atonement money from the Israelites and use it for the service of the tent of meeting. It will be a memorial for the Israelites before the Lord, making atonement for your lives.”
Basin for Washing
17Then the Lord said to Moses, 18“Make a bronze basin, with its bronze stand, for washing. Place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. 19Aaron and his sons are to wash their hands and feet with water from it. 20Whenever they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water so that they will not die. Also, when they approach the altar to minister by presenting a food offering to the Lord, 21they shall wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants for the generations to come.”
Anointing Oil
22Then the Lord said to Moses, 23“Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels30:23 That is, about 12 1/2 pounds or about 5.8 kilograms; also in verse 24 of liquid myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels30:23 That is, about 6 1/4 pounds or about 2.9 kilograms of fragrant calamus, 24500 shekels of cassia—all according to the sanctuary shekel—and a hin30:24 That is, probably about 1 gallon or about 3.8 liters of olive oil. 25Make these into a sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer. It will be the sacred anointing oil. 26Then use it to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law, 27the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense, 28the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand. 29You shall consecrate them so they will be most holy, and whatever touches them will be holy.
30“Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them so they may serve me as priests. 31Say to the Israelites, ‘This is to be my sacred anointing oil for the generations to come. 32Do not pour it on anyone else’s body and do not make any other oil using the same formula. It is sacred, and you are to consider it sacred. 33Whoever makes perfume like it and puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off from their people.’ ”
Incense
34Then the Lord said to Moses, “Take fragrant spices—gum resin, onycha and galbanum—and pure frankincense, all in equal amounts, 35and make a fragrant blend of incense, the work of a perfumer. It is to be salted and pure and sacred. 36Grind some of it to powder and place it in front of the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you. 37Do not make any incense with this formula for yourselves; consider it holy to the Lord. 38Whoever makes incense like it to enjoy its fragrance must be cut off from their people.”
