เจ้าเหนือวันสะบาโต
(มก.2:23-28; 3:1-6; ลก.6:1-11)
1ครั้งนั้นพระเยซูเสด็จผ่านทุ่งนาในวันสะบาโต สาวกของพระองค์หิวจึงเด็ดรวงข้าวมากิน 2เมื่อพวกฟาริสีเห็นก็ทูลพระองค์ว่า “ดูเถิด! พวกศิษย์ของท่านทำสิ่งที่ผิดบัญญัติในวันสะบาโต”
3พระองค์ตรัสตอบว่า “พวกท่านไม่ได้อ่านหรือว่าดาวิดทำอะไรเมื่อเขากับพรรคพวกหิวโหย? 4ดาวิดเข้าไปในพระนิเวศของพระเจ้าและเขากับพวกกินขนมปังศักดิ์สิทธิ์ซึ่งขัดต่อบทบัญญัติ เพราะมีแต่ปุโรหิตเท่านั้นที่รับประทานขนมปังศักดิ์สิทธิ์ได้ 5ท่านไม่ได้อ่านในหนังสือบทบัญญัติหรือที่ว่าในวันสะบาโตปุโรหิตในพระวิหารทำงานของตนซึ่งเป็นการละเมิดกฎวันสะบาโต แต่ไม่มีความผิด? 6เราบอกท่านว่า ผู้12:6 หรือสิ่งเช่นเดียวกับข้อ 41 และ 42ซึ่งยิ่งใหญ่กว่าพระวิหารอยู่ที่นี่ 7หากท่านเข้าใจความหมายของข้อความที่ว่า ‘เราประสงค์ความเมตตา ไม่ใช่เครื่องบูชา’12:7 ฮชย. 6:6 ท่านก็คงจะไม่กล่าวโทษผู้ที่ไม่มีความผิด 8เพราะบุตรมนุษย์ทรงเป็นเจ้าเหนือวันสะบาโต”
9จากที่นั่นพระองค์เสด็จเข้าไปในธรรมศาลาของพวกเขา 10และชายมือลีบคนหนึ่งอยู่ที่นั่น พวกเขาหาเหตุที่จะจับผิดพระองค์จึงทูลถามว่า “การรักษาโรคในวันสะบาโตผิดบัญญัติหรือไม่?”
11พระองค์ตรัสแก่พวกเขาว่า “หากใครในพวกท่านมีแกะตัวหนึ่งและแกะนั้นตกบ่อในวันสะบาโต เขาจะไม่ฉุดดึงแกะขึ้นจากบ่อหรือ? 12คนๆ หนึ่งมีค่ายิ่งกว่าแกะตัวหนึ่งสักเพียงใด ฉะนั้นการทำความดีในวันสะบาโตก็ถูกต้องตามบทบัญญัติแล้ว”
13แล้วพระองค์ตรัสกับชายคนนั้นว่า “จงเหยียดมือออกมา” เขาจึงเหยียดมือออกและมือนั้นก็กลับเป็นปกติดีเหมือนมืออีกข้างหนึ่ง 14แต่พวกฟาริสีออกไปวางแผนกันว่าจะฆ่าพระเยซูได้อย่างไร
ผู้รับใช้ที่พระเจ้าทรงเลือก
15พระเยซูทรงทราบเช่นนี้จึงปลีกพระองค์ไปจากที่นั่น คนเป็นอันมากติดตามพระองค์มาและพระองค์ทรงรักษาคนป่วยของพวกเขาให้หายโรคทุกคน 16พระองค์ทรงเตือนพวกเขาไม่ให้แพร่งพรายว่าพระองค์คือใคร 17ทั้งนี้เป็นจริงตามที่ได้กล่าวไว้ผ่านทางผู้เผยพระวจนะอิสยาห์ว่า
18“นี่คือผู้รับใช้ของเราซึ่งเราเลือกสรรไว้
ผู้ที่เรารักและชื่นชม
เราจะส่งวิญญาณของเราลงมาเหนือเขา
และเขาจะประกาศความยุติธรรมแก่บรรดาประชาชาติ
19เขาจะไม่วิวาทหรือส่งเสียงร้อง
จะไม่มีผู้ใดได้ยินเสียงของเขาที่ถนน
20ไม้อ้อช้ำแล้วเขาจะไม่หัก
และไส้ตะเกียงที่ริบหรี่เขาจะไม่ดับ
จนกว่าเขาจะนำความยุติธรรมไปสู่ชัยชนะ
21บรรดาประชาชาติจะหวังใจในนามของเขา”12:21 อสย.42:1-4
พระเยซูกับเบเอลเซบุบ
(มก.3:23-27; ลก.11:17-22)
22แล้วเขาพาชายที่มีผีสิงคนหนึ่งซึ่งทั้งตาบอดและเป็นใบ้มาหาพระองค์ พระเยซูทรงรักษาคนนั้น เขาจึงพูดและมองเห็นได้ 23คนทั้งปวงก็ประหลาดใจและพูดกันว่า “เป็นไปได้ไหมที่คนนี้คือบุตรดาวิด?”
24แต่เมื่อพวกฟาริสีได้ยินก็พูดว่า “คนนี้ขับผีออกโดยอาศัยเบเอลเซบุบ12:24 ภาษากรีกว่าเบเซบูลหรือเบเอลเซบูลเช่นเดียวกับข้อ 27เจ้าแห่งผีเท่านั้นเอง”
25พระเยซูทรงทราบความคิดของพวกเขาจึงตรัสกับพวกเขาว่า “ทุกๆ อาณาจักรที่แตกแยกกันเองย่อมถูกทำลาย และทุกๆ บ้านเมืองหรือครัวเรือนที่แตกแยกกันเองย่อมตั้งอยู่ไม่ได้ 26หากซาตานขับไล่ซาตาน มันก็แตกแยกกับตัวเอง แล้วอาณาจักรของมันจะตั้งอยู่ได้อย่างไร? 27และหากเราขับผีออกโดยอาศัยเบเอลเซบุบ คนของพวกท่านเล่าขับผีออกโดยอาศัยใคร? ฉะนั้นพวกเขาจะตัดสินท่าน 28แต่หากเราขับผีออกโดยพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้า อาณาจักรของพระเจ้าก็มาถึงพวกท่านแล้ว
29“หรือคนจะสามารถเข้าไปในบ้านของคนที่แข็งแรงและขนเอาทรัพย์สินของเขาไปได้อย่างไร ถ้าไม่จับคนแข็งแรงนั้นมัดไว้ก่อน? จากนั้นจึงปล้นบ้านของเขาได้
30“ผู้ใดไม่อยู่ฝ่ายเราก็เป็นปฏิปักษ์กับเรา และผู้ใดไม่รวบรวมไว้ให้เราก็ทำให้กระจัดกระจายไป 31ฉะนั้นเราบอกท่านว่าบาปและการหมิ่นประมาททุกอย่างทรงอภัยให้มนุษย์ได้ แต่การหมิ่นประมาทพระวิญญาณทรงอภัยให้ไม่ได้ 32ผู้ใดกล่าวล่วงเกินบุตรมนุษย์จะทรงอภัยให้ แต่ผู้ใดกล่าวล่วงเกินพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์จะไม่ทรงอภัยให้ไม่ว่าในยุคนี้หรือในยุคหน้า
33“ถ้าต้นไม้ดีผลก็จะดี ถ้าต้นไม้เลวผลก็จะเลว เพราะจะรู้จักต้นไม้ได้ก็โดยผลของมัน 34เจ้าชาติงูร้าย เจ้าที่เป็นคนชั่วจะพูดสิ่งที่ดีได้อย่างไร? เพราะปากพูดสิ่งที่ล้นออกมาจากใจ 35คนดีนำสิ่งดีๆ ออกมาจากความดีที่สะสมไว้ในตัวเขา ส่วนคนชั่วนำสิ่งชั่วๆ ออกมาจากความชั่วที่สะสมอยู่ในตัวเขา 36แต่เราบอกท่านว่าในวันพิพากษามนุษย์จะต้องให้การเกี่ยวกับถ้อยคำพล่อยๆ ทุกคำที่เขาพูดออกมา 37เพราะท่านจะพ้นผิดหรือถูกลงโทษก็ขึ้นอยู่กับถ้อยคำของท่าน”
หมายสำคัญของโยนาห์
(ลก.11:24-26,29-32)
38แล้วมีบางคนในพวกฟาริสีและธรรมาจารย์มาทูลพระองค์ว่า “ท่านอาจารย์ เราอยากเห็นหมายสำคัญจากท่าน”
39พระองค์ตรัสว่า “คนในยุคที่ชั่วร้ายและทรยศต่อพระเจ้า ขอแต่หมายสำคัญ! แต่เขาจะไม่ได้รับหมายสำคัญอื่นยกเว้นหมายสำคัญของผู้เผยพระวจนะโยนาห์ 40เพราะโยนาห์อยู่ในท้องปลาใหญ่สามวันสามคืนฉันใด บุตรมนุษย์ก็จะอยู่ในใจกลางแผ่นดินโลกสามวันสามคืนฉันนั้น 41ในวันพิพากษาชาวนีนะเวห์จะยืนขึ้นพร้อมกับคนในยุคนี้และกล่าวโทษพวกเขาเพราะชาวนีนะเวห์ได้กลับใจใหม่โดยคำเทศนาของโยนาห์และบัดนี้ผู้12:41 หรือสิ่งเช่นเดียวกับข้อ 42ที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่าโยนาห์ก็อยู่ที่นี่ 42ในวันพิพากษาราชินีแห่งแดนใต้จะลุกขึ้นพร้อมกับคนในยุคนี้และกล่าวโทษพวกเขา เพราะพระนางมาจากสุดโลกเพื่อรับฟังสติปัญญาของโซโลมอน และบัดนี้ผู้ที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่าโซโลมอนก็อยู่ที่นี่
43“เมื่อวิญญาณชั่ว12:43 ภาษากรีกว่าโสโครกออกจากผู้ใดแล้ว มันก็ไปทั่วถิ่นแล้ง แสวงหาที่พักและไม่พบ 44มันจึงว่า ‘ข้าจะกลับไปยังบ้านที่ข้าจากมา’ พอมาถึงก็พบว่าบ้านนั้นว่างอยู่ เก็บกวาดสะอาด และจัดเป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อย 45จึงไปพาผีอื่นๆ อีกเจ็ดตนซึ่งชั่วร้ายยิ่งกว่ามันเข้ามาอาศัยที่นั่นด้วย และในที่สุดสภาพของคนนั้นก็เลวร้ายยิ่งกว่าตอนแรกเสียอีก คนในยุคที่ชั่วร้ายนี้ก็จะเป็นเช่นนั้น”
มารดาและน้องชายของพระเยซู
(มก.3:31-35; ลก.8:19-21)
46ขณะพระเยซูกำลังตรัสอยู่กับฝูงชน มารดาและบรรดาน้องชายของพระองค์มายืนอยู่ด้านนอกต้องการจะพูดกับพระองค์ 47มีผู้ทูลพระเยซูว่า “มารดาและน้องชายของท่านมายืนอยู่ด้านนอกต้องการจะพูดกับท่าน”12:47 สำเนาต้นฉบับบางสำเนาไม่มีข้อ 47
48พระเยซูจึงตรัสตอบเขาว่า “ใครคือมารดาและใครคือพี่น้องของเรา?” 49พระองค์ทรงชี้ไปที่เหล่าสาวกของพระองค์และตรัสว่า “นี่คือมารดาและพี่น้องของเรา 50เพราะผู้ใดทำตามพระประสงค์ของพระบิดาของเราในสวรรค์ ผู้นั้นคือมารดาและพี่น้องชายหญิงของเรา”
Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath
1At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them. 2When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, “Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”
3He answered, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? 4He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread—which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests. 5Or haven’t you read in the Law that the priests on Sabbath duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are innocent? 6I tell you that something greater than the temple is here. 7If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’12:7 Hosea 6:6 you would not have condemned the innocent. 8For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue, 10and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus, they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
11He said to them, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? 12How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other. 14But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
God’s Chosen Servant
15Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. A large crowd followed him, and he healed all who were ill. 16He warned them not to tell others about him. 17This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
18“Here is my servant whom I have chosen,
the one I love, in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will proclaim justice to the nations.
19He will not quarrel or cry out;
no one will hear his voice in the streets.
20A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out,
till he has brought justice through to victory.
21In his name the nations will put their hope.”12:21 Isaiah 42:1-4
Jesus and Beelzebul
22Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. 23All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”
24But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.”
25Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29“Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
30“Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. 31And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
33“Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. 35A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. 37For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
The Sign of Jonah
38Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”
39He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here. 42The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.
43“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
Jesus’ Mother and Brothers
46While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”
48He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
