Ang mga Lupain na Ibinigay sa mga Lahi nina Efraim at Manase
1Ang lupain na ibinigay sa mga lahi ni Jose ay nagsimula sa Ilog ng Jordan malapit sa Jerico, sa silangan ng mga bukal ng Jerico, papunta sa ilang at sa kabundukan hanggang sa Betel. 2Mula sa Betel (na siyang Luz),16:2 na siyang Luz: Ito ang nasa tekstong Griegong (tingnan din sa 18:13). Sa Hebreo, papunta sa Luz. dumaraan ito sa Atarot na kung saan nakatira ang mga Arkeo 3at pababa sa kanluran papunta sa lugar ng mga Jafleteo, hanggang sa hangganan ng mababang Bet Horon. At nagpatuloy ito sa Gezer hanggang sa Dagat ng Mediteraneo. 4Ito ang bahaging natanggap ng mga lahi nina Manase at Efraim na mga anak ni Jose.
5Ito ang nasasakupan ng lahi ni Efraim na hinati-hati ayon sa bawat sambahayan: Ang hangganan nito sa silangan ay nagsisimula sa Atarot Adar papunta sa mataas na Bet Horon 6hanggang sa Dagat ng Mediteraneo. Ang hangganan nito sa hilaga ay nagsisimula sa Micmetat, at paliko pasilangan sa Taanat Shilo, at dumaraan sa silangan ng Janoa. 7At mula sa Janoa ay pababa ito sa Atarot at Naara, at dumaraan sa Jerico papunta sa Ilog ng Jordan. 8Mula sa Tapua, ang hangganan ay papunta sa kanluran at dumaraan sa Lambak ng Kana, hanggang sa Dagat ng Mediteraneo. Ito ang lupain na ibinigay sa lahi ni Efraim na hinati-hati ayon sa bawat sambahayan. 9Kasama nito ang mga bayan at baryo na sakop sa lupain ni Manase. 10Hindi nila pinalayas ang mga Cananeo na nakatira sa Gezer; kaya may mga Cananeo na nakatira kasama ng mga taga-Efraim hanggang ngayon, pero ginawa silang mga alipin.
Land Is Given to Ephraim and Manasseh
1The land given to the two tribes in the family line of Joseph began at the Jordan River. Their border started east of the springs of Jericho. It went up from there through the desert into the hill country of Bethel. 2Bethel is also called Luz. From Bethel the border crossed over to Ataroth. That’s where the Arkites live. 3Then it went west down to the territory of the Japhletites. It went all the way to the area of Lower Beth Horon. It went on to Gezer. The border came to an end at the Mediterranean Sea.
4The tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim were from the family line of Joseph. So they received that land as their share.
5Here is the territory given to the tribe of Ephraim, according to its family groups.
The border of their share of land started at Ataroth Addar in the east. It went to Upper Beth Horon. 6It continued toward the Mediterranean Sea. From Mikmethath on the north, it curved toward the east. It went to Taanath Shiloh. It passed by Taanath Shiloh to Janoah on the east. 7Then it went down from Janoah to Ataroth and Naarah. It touched Jericho and came to an end at the Jordan River. 8From Tappuah the border went west to the Kanah Valley. It came to an end at the Mediterranean Sea. That was the land given to the tribe of Ephraim. Each family group received its share.
9The tribe of Ephraim was also given other towns and villages that were set apart for them. Those towns and villages were in the share of land given to the tribe of Manasseh.
10The people of Ephraim didn’t drive out the Canaanites living in Gezer. The Canaanites live among the people of Ephraim to this day. But they are forced to work hard for the people of Ephraim.
